This is VERY SMALL size! Each board(top. Spray style legs and apron) measure approximately 1/4" wide. It looks like the piece is made from the same type of wood for all pieces. The stool has great carved detail on the front and back apron as well as on the legs. The top has slightly separated from the base at each end- see photo's. As with furniture of this age-there is wear to the top. Edges and sides. There do not appear to be any repairs. The stool stands evenly. Antique/Vintage Round Covered Footstool- Solid Gold Color Top. The top part of the is in very good condition. I am not sure of the material. It reminds me of needlepoint but there is no pattern so I am just not sure. The legs of the stool are wood and look like maple to me. The hardware on the legs show some rust. The stool is very sturdy and has the original wood. This was purchased from an auction quite some time ago so I am not sure of the history or age. It is about 13 1/2" across x 8 1/2" tall.

Untitled Document This antique 1800s Victorian footstool is a classic small round model measuring 11.25 inches in diameter and standing about 4 inches tall. The wooden stool is wrapped in a very bold and striking geometric parquetry inlay design. The decorative beaded overlay is disintegrated and is probably not salvagable. But the original green velvet undercover appears to be in excellent condition. The top comes right off by loosening the primitive wooden"nut" on the metal screw bolt underneath for easy removal of the degraded beadwork. The stool is missing its three small wooden feet, too, and you can see where they used to be on the underside of the stool, but the cutaways in the wood seem to give the stool feet-like structures, and the appearance is not really affected much. An old footstool. With a carved Gothic panel top depicting the"Green Man" of English folklore. The panel looks quite a bit older than the legs. I suspect that the panel originally came from some other piece of furniture. And was converted into a footstool, perhaps some time in the 20th century? The top is three-quarters of an inch thick. And measures 14 1/2 inches x 6 1/2 inches Altogether a nice decorative piece. With a good traditional country theme. The edges of the top panel have clearly been scuffed and knocked quite a lot. Particularly along the edge which is the"bottom" of the picture- the long edge beneath the Green Man's chin. Condition: Good condition. With no major damage, but plenty of marks, scuffs and scrapes from normal use. The panel that forms the top of the stool appears to be considerably older than ... morethe base and legs. It stands well. With just a little play if you wiggle the legs. It is a perfectly adequate footstool. But I don't think it is quite solid enough to sit on. Offered for auction today. Is this gorgeous antique carved wood and needlepoint footstool. It measures 15" x 10" x 8" Heavily carved wood. The frame appears to be oak but not sure what the dark carved wood is. It is just lovely. Overall very good condition and totally usable and sturdy. There are some scuff marks here and there due to light use and the mustard yellow needlepoint is in very good condition with no stains or spots that I could find. There are a couple of places on the corners where it looks as if a piece of the carving may have chipped off a long time ago. Also on the underside of one of the feet there is a chip that you can only see when turning the stool upside down. There are also some scratches and scuffs on the feet but nothing extraordinary. None of the damage is very significant in my opinion and does not ... moredetract from the overall beauty of the piece. Look carefully at my photos. Period Antique Queen Anne footstool, vtg, pegged,wood,cloth,old furniture,stool
A Queen Anne style antique footstool being offered as found in the basement of an estate sale years ago. I purchased it with a full intent of having it restored and recovered. But it is untouched from when it was acquired. Since it is pegged, I thought that it may be period, but I am not an expert in this field. It probably is at least 19th century in age. My thoughts were that it was probably English, but I do not know the exact origin either. The four thick secondary woods appear to be pine. I am not sure of the legs, maybe chestnut? The pine forming the legs is quite thick measuring about 1 1/2" in thickness. The four sides appear to have peg holes for joining, yet the pegs are missing. Each leg appears to be made in 3 parts. The main part has a peg and is attached to the pine with the peg(a small crack is visible and I can see the ... morepeg) Each side piece of the leg is also attached with a peg. The stool is very sturdy, so I think someone has applied nails at a later period to provide strength. I definitely see nails. I believe that most of the nails on the sides were from old upholstery. There is a cloth top, but I think that the stuffing was applied ontop of the top. The stool measures about 18" in length, 15 1/2" in width and about 10" tall(now, without cushion top) It is in good condition as shown, but needs to be reworked to be functional and possibly refinished if that look is desired. It is being offered as found and untouched by me.

As the camera ads shadow etc. I am not sure of the age but I believe it may be from 1930's judging by its style and build. I am not sure what kind of wood this is but looks like mahogany. It is in good antique shape, shows some age ware but nothing to serious. It features nicely scalloped double aprons. Rounded bootjack legs with cut-outs, and nice worn finish on all surfaces. It remains in good condition. It is in need of a little TLC if it is to be brought back to its former glory- the leather is rather worn, with surface cracks from age and use, and the metal fittings will need some polishing. There are paint speckles on the wood which should be easily rectified. The leather seat is in five main sections- one central white section. Surrounded by black corners. They have leather circles in black and white leather embroidered into them and the edging/embroidery connects the 5 sections together. There is some scuffing on the edges of the feet(as shown in the photo) and some use wear on the fabric near one edge. Everything looks to be original. The fabric/upholstery is GORGEOUS! I am not sure of the year or maker on this. But a good guess would be the last 1800s or early 1900s. The wood appears to have been hand carved. All items are stored in a smoke-free environment. Antique footstool w needlepoint top. There is damage to the needlepoint on the four corners- possibly from a cat scratching it- but the center portion is fine. Footstool itself is walnut wood. To the best of my knowledge- shows a few scratches that would probably polish out. Very sturdy piece. $16.50 postage. There are some scuff marks on the legs and one leg has a couple of"chips" out of it on the inside of the leg.

When we purchased it many years ago. It was a featured piece in an auction of a Washington, D.C. collector’s one of a kind treasures. We do not know if it is American or European. It has a beautiful nutty medium dark brown patina. And it has been constructed from several types of wood(perhaps oak, fir, walnut) The elegant fretwork of the two ends/ legs and the“aprons” on the two long sides“forced” us to buy it. It is in good used vintage/ antique condition. There are marks. Rubs, scratches, abrasions, etc. We have never even oiled it. But you could cover up some of this evidence of age and use/ wear with an oil(like Old English scratch cover) There is a small section of one top corner edge missing(about 1” x ½” x 1/8” The top of the stool is approximately 8 ¾” x 15” x under ¾” thick. Up for auction is a lovely vintage footstool with a floral needlepoint cushion. This is a great piece. An excellent addition to any home. The footstool measures approximately 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 9" This is a sturdy little stool. The wood base is solid. There are signs of past use on this stool, including scratches and scrapes on the wood portion, and some slight staining on the top. I didn't try to clean the top portion at all, so the stains may be able to be lightened or removed with a careful cleaning. In addition, one side of the top is a bit loose from the base.
