Antique 19th Century Victorian Carved Wood W/Needlepoint Top Gout Foot Stool
Antique victoroian walnut foot/gout stool. It is carved on both sides with a raised scroll ending in a bellflower. The four feet have raised ribbing. It measures 13" long. 11" across, and 8" high at the tallest point. The needlepoint is original. The binding around the needlepoint is all there, but in some part it is stiff to the touch from age. The underneath has a black baize fabric that has a tear. The foot/gout stool is sturdy and is all original. Beautiful Antique re-upholstered horse head Love Seat
This beautiful antique love seat has been newly expertly re-upholstered in a coral/peach color. It is upholstered on all sides and back and is complete with two matching pillows. The horse head arms and claw foot feet make a fascinating detail. It sat in the opera singer Freda Draper's music room until the 1960's in Oak Park Illinois. We believe it was made in the late 1800's- although we have not found anything comparable.

Rare Antique Bamboo Corner Chair Furniture Great Design Unusual
Up for auction is this antique bamboo chair. I just love the design. With the natural, gnarled top and the fact that this is a corner chair, which is rather unusual to find in bamboo. In really nice condition. However, this is an antique, so the bamboo is old. I would not set a heavy weight person in this as it is more delicate in nature. Measures approx. 32 1/2" h x 16" square. A Victorian Beadwork Design Mahogany Foot Stool c1860/80
This Victorian footstool I think dates from between 1860 and 1880. The stool is made of mahogany with three turned feet which I think are later replacements as there are more modern screws fixing them to the base, the top has lovely beadwork designs of flowers and patterns in the centre and has nice colour and patina with age as seen in the photos, the stool measures 12 inches diameter and around 5 inches high, there is a glue repair to the bottom of the stool as seen and some knocks to the mahogany with use over the years, the beadwork is in general good condition apart from a few missing beads and minor wear and tear with age and use

Old Green Paint Antique Rustic Wooden Primitive Farm Barn Make-do Step Stool
Offering today a terrific Antique Step Stool we found at a local farm estate. This great step stool has many nails with some being the square head and some being machine made. Still solid but I would not recommend using it as a daily step. This more of a primitive decor item or it would make a perfect child's bench. Measures 13-1/2" x 9" and 9-1/2" tall. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear and a few layers of old paint still intact. There is a tight crack in the top board. A Victorian style footstool that has seen some better days. It is being offered as is and as found. My guess is that it is made of walnut with a velvet-like material cover and dates from the last quarter of the 19th century. These are just my guesses and I do not guarantee it. It appears to have the original finish. But it is damaged in a couple of spots. One of the slats has come out of the hole(but could easily be glued back in) It looks like it may be missing a little wood, but still fits into the slot. The main issue is one of the legs at the very narrow"base of the urn" is broken. You have to laugh at an attempt to secure it. Great form of an empire victorian footstools. Circa 1840-50.American made.solif mahogany. as pics show this small sized footstool packs alot of style. the wood itself shows an interesting flamed or ribbon style mahogany grain. This is more normally found in veneers,but this stool is made of selected grade solid flamed wood. It has a typical exxagerated"OG" serpentine molding that has a wonderful serpentine flow. This molding is offset from the seat and the bottom foot structure by heavily fluted moldings. The bottom foot portion is well carved and scalloped on the lower skirt section. The seat is a slip seat,and has an older useable velvet seat which could be easily reupholstered if so desired.This wonderful stool measures 12" x12" at base and is 8 1/2" high. This auction is for an antique wooden piano stool we have had in our lives for about 20 years. It turns out this stool is in worse condition than I thought. And it needs to go to a home w/ a craftsman or woodworker. About 10 years ago it was getting a bit wobbly and I added the bungee cord to stabilize it a bit. I know? Is that hi tech of what? I thought it just needed to be re-glued(as in the areas w/ the arrows) but as you can see from the zoomed images, the lower base is also cracked and underneath, the metal has at some previous time been cracked, too. I could probably get more for just the metal and glass feet, but I don't have the heart to strong-arm this pretty little stool apart, into pieces. So I'm putting it up onto the Bay, as is, and hoping someone can discover the life still left in this lovely little piece. Nice. Usable Empire or Classical Revival foot stool from the middle of the 19th century. The veneer is in great shape, there is just a small, old, loss to one of the feet which isn't visible from the outside. The needle work, is probably 2nd generation as the tacks look to be late 19th century. All of the colored wool yard is gone leaving the outline of the design which is still attractive the way it is. The fabric is of course not original and underneath that is a chintz flowered fabric. But what is underneath the flowered fabric I do not know because I have not taken it apart. The seat should have had some caning but it only has two layers of fabric which makes it not terribly suitable for actual sitting upon. The back rail is a bit loose as well. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique stool/chair. This is a gorgeous piece with fantastic details and character. It features a high back with side spindles and a center slat. The top of the chair back is arched and has a nicely carved design. The chair has beautiful turned wood legs as well as the center adjustment mechanism. The legs are fitted with gilded iron claw and glass ball feet. The iron is very ornately patterned. The glass is a light green with tiny air bubbles. The adjustable seat is rounded and rests atop the actual chair seat. The chair looks as if it has been re-stained(by hand) at some point. The chair back. At the top, has dark stain on the sides and medium stain in the center. The dark stain pattern is not uniform and has a"free hand" look. It is quite unique looking and does add character to the piece. ... moreThe adjustment also has newer screws attaching it to the seat. The chair is in very good condition with some very minor scuffs and light wear to the finish in just a couple of areas. The adjustment is functioning properly. The stool seat is designed to stop a couple of inches before the chair seat; they do not touch. It has been marked by the manufacturer but, as you can see, the mark has faded and I cannot make out the name. In general, this is a beautiful chair in very good condition. Is in perfect condition, the wooden'worm' used to adjust the height of the stool, has also survived in perfect condition, and would be fit to use as a piano today, as it was intended for in 1890. antique vintage piano stool-excellent
This is a vintage antique Chas. Parker Co. piano stool in excellent condition. This beauty shows very little wear and was attic stored for much of it's life. This ball an claw style with an adjustable iron corkscrew that turns to the left to raise and to the right to lower. The glass marble balls are in excellent shape-clear with very little wear. The stool measures 19 1/4" in height at lowest position and the seat is14" in diameter. This would make an excellent addition to a traditional piano room or perhaps for a guitar player. Antique RUSTIC WOODEN PRIMITIVE BARN STOOL, Old Splatter Paint, Step up, Foot
Purchased at a local farm estate in Lancaster PA. This is a great old, primitive barn, foot or step stool. You can see the old nails in the sides of the"feet" Most of the upper ones are covered by the paint. The paint is very old and was done in layer to create a splatter effect like the graniteware of that same era. Check the underside and you will see strips of paint that might break off. This really does not detract from this awesome early piece from days gone bye. No glue or dovetails. One nail needs to be driven in a little more. One set of legs is a little loose because of it. Still solid but I would not recommend using it as a daily step. This more of a primitive decor item The foot stool measures 15" x 8" and 8" tall.
