This antique tin/metal tole coal scuttle hod would have held a large supply of coal and wood. It measures approx. 24" tall x 12" wide x 10 1/2" deep and appears to be in its original black. There are two lovely thick iron handles on the sides for carrying with a figural'Roman Warrior Goddess' head(see pics) there are four large figural feet. Nicely curved-arched-and beveled top is large and flips up and is hinged opening and closely properly on intact hinges with all original hardware. There is a hook for a shvel on right side and brackets for tools along back. Up for bid is an Authentic 18 Carat Gold Roman Intaglio ring. It is size 10 1/2. The ring is set in an 18 carat gold setting containing 22.45 grams of gold. The Jeweler stated that the setting was created more than one hundred years ago and the ring was in the possession of a single French family for one hundred years before it became part of an estate. There was a pronounced Roman presence throughout France which is still abundantly apparent throughout the country today. The ring contains a black stone Roman Intaglio which dates to the first century A.D. The stone portrays a man standing by a horse with wings. At some point in the rings history.
