3 MICROLITHE BLADE/DRILL FLINT"Paris Basin"MESOLITHIC/NEOLITHIC/FRENCH PREHISTOR
flint blond white patina of the Paris Basin MESOLITHIC/ NEOLITHIC type of debitage Levallois method.SIZE MAX 59MM ref 764 10.000 TO 3.000 BC most of them are Middle Paleolithic. some are Upper Paleolithic and some of its objects are some early Neolithic. But the definition is difficult. because I was often asked the same question about the age I said it's actually quite easy. The patina is the result of an alteration of flint blond by particular component of the earth in this region. is an extremely long process. on some parts, it reaches 1/ 2 mm. it's a good way of dating but not infallible it depends on the burial environment. on flint dating back three or four thousand years is superficial alteration of tenth of a millimeter, but it is decreasing which mean it takes longer in the second tenth. you can see the example photo of a ... morecut in slices and the patina over two millimeters. not in sale) COMBINE SHIPPING fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moustérien. google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http:www.la-detection.com/dp/images2/61894R14.jpg&imgrefurl=http:www.la-detection.com/dp/message-61894.htm&usg=_EVyQcb3KlQoUMVF7liFXFpMnsA4=&h=578&w=667&sz=28&hl=fr&start=74&sig2=-mJ_mnwNrmA5gtS0a5Dz3w&zoom=1&tbnid=mLq3Os-BLonPiM:tbnh=120&tbnw=138&ei=HZTMTPyhDeWG4gaB75DdDA&prev=/images?q=HACHE BASSIN PARSIEN&start=60&um=1&hl=fr&safe=off&sa=N&gbv=1&rlz=1B3GGLL_fr_FR399&tbs=isch:1&um=1&itbs=1. google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http:www.cavernes-saintonge.info/paleo/zgraqb1.jpg&imgrefurl=http:www.cavernes-saintonge.info/nomade.htm&usg=_HPPnJpaywFvoZ11-zK_hf2qVSCk=&h=388&w=500&sz=71&hl=fr&start=84&sig2=ea7cEqGIzV9biGP1ak8Bgw&zoom=1&tbnid=gcspCGYOhjVJ-M:tbnh=101&tbnw=130&ei=tIvMTODVAceH4Qb2zf2CDg&prev=/images?q=PALEOLITHIQUE BASSIN PARSIEN&start=80&um=1&hl=fr&safe=off&sa=N&gbv=1&rlz=1B3GGLL_fr_FR399&tbs=isch:1&um=1&itbs=1.

6800Y.O: LOT OF KNIVES BLADES FLAKES DANISH STONE AGE MESOLITHIC KITCHEN MIDDEN
NORTHERN EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description This offer consists of typical worked knives. Blades and flakes. Dating to the earliest part of the Mesolithic Ertebolle Ellerbek Culture 5400-4000bc. Terrific marble-like pieces. All with fossil includings! During the Mesolithic period(c.9300-4000 BC) after the end of the ice age. Hunters spread across the extensive area which connected Denmark to England during the Continental period. The forest was relatively light in the beginning with bison, wild horses, elk and aurochs. In time, the forest became more dense and red deer and roe-deer became the commonest game. Settlements were often situated near the edges of lakes which have since become bogs. In the east of Denmark, the peat in these bogs has preserved a rich variety of weapons and tools, bones from ... moreslaughtered animals and the remains of dwellings, including hut floors made of wood and bark. During the Atlantic period, 6400-4000 BC, the sea level rose so much that the northern parts of Denmark were divided into islands, and deep fiords cut into the landscape. A dense forest dominated by limetrees spread across the land. The population was found mostly near the coasts and lived on fish and shellfish, supplemented by hunting and sealing. Food scraps were piled up in kitchen middens which contained huge numbers of oyster shells. Grave finds bear witness to care and respect for the dead. The Ertebolle culture: One of the most famous Nordic cultures was the Ertebolle culture(also known as Ertebølle or Ellerbek) This culture came into existence at the end of the Mesolithic period around 5400 BC and lasted to 4000 BC. The center of the Ertebolle culture is believed to have been Denmark but this people also lived in southern Scandinavia, Finland, northern Germany and Poland, and the Netherlands, which was roughly the same area as where later the Funnelbeaker people and the Germans lived. The Ertebolle people mainly lived from hunting, gathering, and fishing, they used stone
