ANTIQUE NEW HAVEN CLOCK COMPANY, SCHOOL/ OFFICE/ GENERAL STORE STYLE"SMALL REGULATOR" WALL CLOCK. 8 DAY. 8 DAY STRIKE, 21" TALL COMES WITH ... moreORIGINAL WIND-UP KEY, BUT IS MISSING THE PENDULLUM. HAS BEEN TESTED WITH ANOTHER PENDULLUM AND WORKS. BUT AS WITH ANY ANTIQUE CLOCK MAY NEED FURTHER PROFESSIONAL ADJUSTMENTS. Very nice. Original, vintage, once displayed, since stored, and as found condition. Shows light exterior wear on the wood surface from being stored and handled all these years. Measures 21" long, 13-1/2" wide at the longest point at the bottom, and 4" deep. Spotting the 8" dial, as can be seen in the photos. No cracks to the real glass dial cover and pendullum opening. Rear glass of pendullum door does have peeling to the REGULATOR graphics. Retains the original label on the back, but is partially there and readable. As stated above, it comes with the original wind-up key, but is missing the pendullum. We tested it with another pendullum and it appears to work ok, but as with any antique clock, it may need further professional maintenance& adjusting. A great and very collectible American made clock! DO NOT MISS OUT! Would make a wonderful gift. Too! You will receive the exact pictured item being offered here in AS-IS condition. Ancient Egyptian Glass Mosaic Inlay Ptolemaic / Early Roman Period - 100 BC
An attractive and decorative ancient Egyptian glass inlay. Dating to the Ptolemaic to early Roman period 100 B.C. 100 A.D. A wonderful glass inlay. Depicting the scales of a fish in motion, coloured in beautiful polychrome red, yellow and brown, with the dorsal fin a distinctive dark blue. Tiles of this form have been found exclusively in Egypt. And are widely renowned as being of the highest quality, building on a glass making industry that was already centuries old. This technique was a painstakingly labour intensive process requiring a high level of skill and knowledge. ... moreIt flourished over only a brief period of time before the mastery was lost. Ancient Roman Silver Alloy Ring Royal Blue Glass Inlay Large 200-300 AD
Ancient Roman Silver Alloy Ring Royal Blue Glass Inlay Large 200-300 AD Apart from gold and other precious metals. Romans used glass to make their jewelry. Roman jewelry gives us an insight into the culture of this ancient country. Just like other ancient civilizations. Rome also had its distinct strata of social classes. In the Roman society, jewelry was worn for indicating the social status of a person and attaching pieces of clothing rather than beautification. Gold was used by the artisans and jewelers for carving the adornments and jewelry as it was believed to be the metal of the Gods and supposed to have descended from the sun. Other than gold, the materials used in jewelry making were bronze, Roman glass, bone beads and precious gemstones which were excavated from far off places like Persia, Far East, Indus Valley, etc. Diamonds, ... moreemeralds and sapphires found their way from the silk route to the Roman land to appease the rich and mighty of this civilization. This large and magnificent ancient Roman silver alloy ring bears a broad and smooth hoop which expands and opens up into two parts at its shoulders. And is soldered firm to the back of its bezel(this craftsmanship can be viewed very well on the inside, at the back of the bezel) As additional reinforcement, the ancient craftsman has added a flat piece of linear etched silver alloy strip attaching the side of the bezel to the shoulders of the hoop. Its deep, square shaped shield-type bezel forms a secure frame for its rich, royal blue glass inlay. The Romans greatly favoured the use of stone and glass in their jewellery. And expanded the Hellenistic tradition by focusing on the visual effects multi-coloured bits of stone and glass could achieve in their own right. The Romans used glass extensively to imitate precious stones such as emerald, sardonyx, and amethyst, since glass was much easier to carve. Here, this deep red inlay was made to represent the likes of a precious ruby or garnet gemstone. A layer of white patina is retained on its surface. Anc

Neoclassical Greek Key Roman Opaline Bristol Glass Tumbler Decanter Tumble Up
Antique opaline glass set up for auction. At first I thought Bristol glass. Now looking at it closer, I think it is French. They are opaline glass, both have nice finely ground bottoms. Large piece has a 17 scratched on the bottom. I believe they are a tumble up set, could be wrong, fit awful nicely upside down. I don't think the tall piece had a stopper because the inside is not ground. I believe they are from the Victorian era. They are colored beige and decorated with Greek Key and three portraits. Each piece has two males and a female all in different head gear and facing different ways, I think they are hand painted. These beautiful Neoclassical designed pieces are also adorned in gold. I find no chips or cracks. I find some wear to the gold around the top rim of the tall piece and the fine banding on the white. The tumbler has gold ... morewear on the rim. Decanter piece measures 9" T x 4 1/2" W, tumbler measures 4" T x 4" W. Please e-mail for more pictures or questions.

Possibly Roman neckless mosaic glass beads decoration circa 100 AD #4
This bid is for a strand of Roman mosaic black glass beads. Circa 100 Ad. This was the information when I bought it. However. I had a bead expert examine it at my swap. He verified that the beads were 1000 to 2000 years old. The location may be wrong. I was glad to find out that they were not plastic. A museum car taker said she has a set and keeps them in her safety deposit box when she is not wearing them. As I understand it, these were restrung from beads found. They may look great broken down into earrings. lot#4. Check out my! Be sure to add me to your! You never know what you will find on my site. I have been collecting for over 40 years.
