This is a vintage. HAND-TOOLED Brown LEATHER purse in a gorgeous Aztec Mexican pattern. It is a large piece of WEARABLE ART! It is approximately 14.5" long. 9" tall(minus strap) 5" deep, so plenty of room for all your treasured possessions- Large Purse/Tote. It has several compartments all under a main zipper. Pre-Columbian Copper "Hoe Money" A.K.A. Mayan or Aztec Money
Early copper-arsenic piece. Pre-Columbian, chisel type" dated as far back as 9th century. These are often referred to as Aztec or Mayan"Hoe Money" The piece is in very good condition. Although has a few chips and a small tear(in photo) The small tear is through a little less than halfway. It appear to have been folded/bent many years ago. Ancient Mexican Clay Figurine Fragment Head Aztec Mayan Colima Long Eyes + Ears
Soft reddish clay with whitish highlights. Rubbed. Smoothed edges. 2.5" tall, 2" wide. Slanty eyes, full lips, elongated earlobes. Suggestion of a headdress. Slight glint of mica or shell fragments in the clay. I lived in Mexico for many years in the 1970s and collected Mexican art and artifacts. I do not recall where this piece is from.

Vintage Latin American Mexican Mayan Folk Art Clay Flute Pottery Figural
This vintage flute is made of dark clay. Unfinished on the back but glazed with red, green and gold paint on the front. It depicts a Mayan type man with fancy headdress and rings in his ears, sitting with his feet folded underneath him. The piece is quite sculptural and obviously hand-made. It's 8-1/2" tall and 4-1/2" across at the widest point. There's a mouthpiece(flat opening) at the very top, two holes on the back, and 6 smaller holes in the torso area. The flute makes a good sound, and condition is very good, with no chips or cracks. The glaze/paint is in very good condition. My guess is that a Mexican artist made and sold this as a souvenir, possibly in the 50's, but I have not way of documenting that other than borrowing information from similar pieces on e-Bay. It is composed of 22kt gold plate and ceramic construction on the Jaguar/ Leopard God faces& dangling paws, with another mask face, as well as the huge headdress done in gold. It has a red covering with hand detailed designs in geo metrics with a triangular indians face with headress on that has a jaguar or cat of some kind in the center. this bowl measures 11 1/2" across by 3" tall. These are carved from solid stone(Not pottery. and have been described as for a child. The round platform seat bears three animal heads said to represent protection for the child.
