Vintage 900 Silver SIGNED GORGEOUS HUGE ETRUSCAN Cuff Bracelet Bangle Charm Fob
This listing is for an astonishingly beautiful Vintage 900 silver Etruscan style cuff bracelet. Perhaps the finest cuff bracelet I have ever seen. There are two oil lamps with small cabochon art glass gems in coral, turquoise and emerald colors to either side of a large basket of flowers also set with the same color of art glass gems with flowers cascading out. There are 5 fully articulating and moving slipper shoe charms dangling from the bottom of the cuff set with their own glass gems of corals and turquoise colors. They make such a beautiful sound when you move. There is every detail you can imagine on this piece; rope-like, repousse, floral, bead work, miligrain, florets. There is lots of patina on this piece that I have not polished out, that will be a call for the new owner. It is huge but incredibly comfortable to wear, weighing a ... moreheavy 51 grams and measuring 1 13/16 inch(a little over 1 3/4 inch) wide on the presentation, 2 1/2 inch in diameter, and about 7 1/2 inch in circumference. There are 2 spots of damage aside from some normal dings to the inside of the bangle that is never noticed once the piece is being worn. The last two pictures show the cracks in the ends of the cuff that are only noticed from the inside. It has not affected the integrity of the piece but should be considered and is the only reason this is at such a low price. These cracks in no way affect the wear of the bracelet and it can be slipped on and off with ease. Payment is due within 3 days of close of auction. I usually ship next day. 2-3 days at most. up for auction is this little Etruscan piece. I remember I used to see this kind of stuff every now and then. That was years ago. this is the 1st piece I've seen in probably 10 years. it's Etruscan. Enameled, gold wash from the 1850's. of course this is not the original chain. it is small and delicate as jewelry of that time was. it was not boastful of the wearer. I believe that would have been in bad taste. a little of the enamel has come off the hanging piece. I try to show that in the 3rd photo. I don't have an exact measurement. I will get it asap. Contriques: DELFTinitely Unique(TM) DESCRIPTION: Here is one of many antique razor boxes and soap dishes I will be putting up for sale so look at my other auctions. This was originally part of an 8 piece toilet set(chamber set) That would be the large covered two or three piece waste jar. Lidded chamber pot, large pitcher and wash bowl, smaller water pitcher, shaving mug, covered two or three part soap dish, horizontal razor box and vertical toothbrush holder. This brown transfer ware pattern is called Etruscan Vases. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 2 7/8" wide. The base stands 1 1/2" tall and is 3 1/4" tall to the lid's rose bud finial. In Victorian times gentlemen would use straight razors for shaving. The blades were not stainless steel so if let to set in standing water the blade would rust. The two raised ceramic"dividers" ... morewould make sure it set above the water and the two holes in the end would allow the water to evaporate. This was made by either Gildea& Walker, G. W. between 1881- 1885 in the Burslem region of Staffordshire, England or by Thomas& John Mayer, T. J. Mayer, between 1838- 1842 in the Longport region of Staffordshire, England. Regardless of who made it, there was only an 8 year period this pattern was produced. There are no chips but one end shows a tight hairline. Who these days still uses straight razors? That doesn't mean you couldn't collect this for the antique it is. Especially if this pattern is part of your set you are missing. This is truly one of the harder pieces to find. For practicality though, think about the number of uses this would still have in your home. You could use it as a horizontal razor and/or toothbrush holder in your bathroom if it goes with your color scheme. You could use it in your bedroom as a jewelry case, pin tray, watch holder or loose pocket change jar. This would be spectacular for your family dinner table everyday as a butter-stick dish and flies wouldn't get into it. You could keep it for special occas

RARE! Tiffany and Company Sterling Tea Pot Etruscan/Neoclassical 1857 Moore
Offered for sale is an extremely rare tea or coffee pot made by Tiffany and Company circa 1857. This piece is in a very beautiful etruscan or neoclassical motif and features a cherub sitting on top playing a trumpet and has a beautiful Greek womans' head handle. It measures approx 10.75 inches tall and is about 9-10 inches wide. It weighs 935 grams on my scale or just over 30 troy ounces. The craftsmanship of this piece is exquisite. It was made by Edward Moore who produced the finest pieces of Tiffany Silver in history. His work includes Japanesque pieces that can bring $60,000-$85,000 for a single pitcher. The only similar pieces to this motif I have located are one complete set housed in the Metropolitan Museum and one single ewer made for and presented to Preisdent Lincoln for his inauguration; that particular piece is worth $250,000-$300,000. ... moreThere is no price reference to compare this beautiful piece of silver to with the great unknown being how much of that $250,000-$300,000 was attributed to the silver ewer alone. Both the Metropolitan museum set and the Lincoln ewer are exactly the same in design as this one aside from the final motif on the top of the piece, with the two foremost being soldiers helmets and this one being a cherub, lending to the conclusion it is a custom order piece. This is amongst the most rare and beautiful of Tiffany designs ever made in my mind and as far as rarity goes, Japanesque pieces of immense value are more common. The feature that strikes me the most is the Greek Goddess handle motif, it is absolutely exquisite. The piece had been in a single family throughout its existance until I recently acquired it. There is a small inscription along the rim that the handle connects to. It is discreet and does not take away in any way from the presentability of this piece- if you didn't know to look for it you would not see it. Early 1900's, from my Mom's estate Discontinued pattern Clearly marked with the Gorham hallmarks and"Sterling" Length: 8 3/8" Width across bowl at the widest part: approx. 1 3/4" Width at end of handle: 13/16" Weight: 2.11 ounces This auction is for one antique Gorham Sterling Silver Large Serving Spoon in the Etruscan pattern. The spoon has the monogram"W" in fancy. Elegant script. This item is from my Mom's estate, inherited from my paternal grandmother, and has been used. The Etruscan pattern is simple and elegant, with stepped, squared-off handle end with a Greek Key design. The pattern is now discontinued. There is a ridge on either side, just inside of the handle edge, the length ... moreof the tapered handle. There is oxidation in the recesses of the key design and the recess between the ridge and the edge of the handle, accenting the lines of the piece. The handle is gently curved. This is thick, sturdy, solid Sterling Silver 2mm thick. It's a simple and elegant, weighty piece. CONDITION: Good antique. Pre-owned, used, with no structural damage; not bent or misshapen. There are some fine polishing marks and light scratches consistent with use, and a few very tiny dings, pinprick sized, no deep gouges. There is a small area on one side of the tip of the bowl that has a tiny ridge from use. There are two tiny areas with manufacturing issues. On the squared end of the handle there are a couple of silver bits that overran the mold and were not polished off. They are on the underside and feel a little rough. They do not show on the top. At the other end of the handle, on the ridge above the hallmarks on the underside, you can see a small section of machine marks. These do not feel rough. Renowned expert on Greek and Roman antiquities at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, received a letter from John Marshall, the Museum's veteran purchasing agent in Italy, describing a newly discovered life-size Etruscan warrior figure in terra-cotta which had been discovered in an Italian field. The"old warrior" he had a white beard and was emaciated, somewhat like, as one observer commented later, a Giacommetti sculpture) was ... moresoon followed by a massive four-foot tall terra cotta warrior's head, and there was even talk of a greater treasure waiting to be found. It was. Of course, all fakery, carried out on a grand, almost"mythic" scale, a scale meant to make experts put aside all their nagging doubts and see the"Etruscans" as what they were not(namely, ancient) The first two pieces had been created by Riccardo Riccardi and Alfredo Fioravanti, two young men of skill and a certain vision. Riccardo's father and brothers had also specialized in historic pottery, but Riccardo was the true genius of the family, and with his friend Alfredo he set out to produce"masterpieces" that would wow the world's museums. The white-bearded warrior and massive head were the first two, followed immediately after World War One by the capping stroke- a Colossal Warrior in terra cotta, standing over eight feet tall.
