Very light porosity(surface pitting caused by contact with earth while buried) Professionally conserved. DETAIL: This is a very handsome. Decorative piece of ancient Roman silver ornamentation. It was probably an ornamental appliqué for a belt or strap, though it could have also been an appliqué for a piece of furniture, wooden chest, or table implement. It’s hard to be certain, but it does appear as if it might have been originally fastened onto a leather strap or belt. In any event the appliqué was discarded or lost almost two thousand years ago. It shows minimal wear, and minimal porosity(surface pitting caused by burial in caustic or acidic soil conditions) Notwithstanding this evidence of usage in the ancient world. It is in wonderful condition, the engraving very sharp, and the artifact is quite handsome. It is the type of decorative ornamentation one would have expected to find on a belt or strap employed by a Roman Soldier. Many pieces of equipment and weaponry were carried on the person of a Roman Legionnaire, many held in place with belts(and buckles) and such ornamental appliqués were quite popular. Upcycled Antique Victorian Mourning Locket Necklace Etruscan Revival Pearl Gold
This necklace features an early Victorian locket suspended from a strand hand knotted of pearls in a classic Victorian style with a gold plated pocket watch fob connector. The locket is gold plated and dates to around 1870. It is in good condition with has a nice patina due to age. I believe that there was another arrow pointing up. Like the one on the bottom, that has broken off at some point during this locket's long life. One photo is present, though there is a lip under the other side that could hold another photo just as securely. It measures 1.25 inches from the top of the ring to the bottom of the locket, is 7/8s of an inch wide, and is 1/4 an inch thick. It features an applied design of Etruscan Revival arrows and flourishes. I selected the finest quality freshwater pearls imported from Japan. They measure 6mm round and they look ... morealmost exactly like cultured pearls with a rich luster only found in high quality specimens. I hand knotted the strand and it measures 15 inches.

Up for your consideration is a Beautiful Antique 1800's Majolica Plate GSH(Griffin Smith Hill) Maple Leaf on a Basket Weave background. Really Beautiful colors on this one.Best described as Forest Green/on a beautiful Tan/Caramel/ Brown Maple Sugar colors. Measures.8 3/4" diameter. Has the GSH stamp on back along with the decorators number 23. That decorator did a beautiful job with this plate! just my opinion: Plate has a tight crack lower right of stem.5 o'clock.looks to be as old as the plate: Hasn't spread. Some parts of the green has a very light. iridescent sheen on it.you can see what I mean in pics.3/4) in the bright spots. I don't know what that's from.may be something in the green glaze they used. Because it's only on the green part. This is a mourning pin made of onyx. Gold filled medal, seed pearls,and c clasp in good condition. This is from the Victorian era, which endured from the later 1800s and the early 1900s. The Etruscan style is reflected in the beaded metal work. During the Victorian age the Etruscan method enjopyed a revival with an attempt at this type of beaded metal.IThis is a nice piece that represents the era well and has lasted these long years. Vintage Bracelet Deep Blue Wide Stretch Etruscan Style Cuff
This gorgeous bracelet features a beautiful. Blue glass, Etruscan style centerpiece, on a wide, stretch cuff. It measures just under 1 1/2" wide in the center and the entire cuff is about 7" around. My boyfriend and I ran a curiosities shop in Laguna Beach. California for many years. When we left the business. We sold our entire inventory except for the jewelry. A lot of these pieces were made by various local artists from the 1960’s to the 1990’s using both new and recycled components. What an amazing Victorian mourning pendant and necklace. It is in fine condition. There are no scratches or dents. The chain portion of the set is 19 3/4" long. Together. The chain and the locket weigh 38 g. Please examine the pictures for dimensions. Rose gold overlay is used as a design element on the locket in areas, such as on the rectangle that frames the area containing the diamond, and also inside the area that houses the diamond, on the cover of the locket on the back, and on the oval surrounding the glass area of the locket(a small missing area of overlay here) In the locket is what I assume is the hair of the deceased loved one of the original owner, but I don't know the personal history of this piece, unfortunately. The chain is 17" long& the locket is 1 3/4" long from the bail to the bottom of the locket& 7/8" across. The body of the locket is 1 1/4" long. VTG Vermeil Etruscan Victorian Revival Moonstone Garnet Museum Earrings Sterling
These are extremely elegant moonstone and garnet museum reproduction earrings all done in vermeil. The earrings are stamped 925 on the back as shown in the photos above and are sterling silver vermeil. These earrings are just gorgeous. They are Byzantine or Etruscan Revival in feeling but also have an Imperialist Russian feel to them. Earrings like these would have been very popular during the Victorian Era. The beaded detailing around the edges and the bezel setting of each stone gives an important sense to these earrings. They are fairly large. At about 1" tall x about 7/8" wide at the widest part. The largest garnet is at the top and is a bullet shaped cabochon garnet. The second largest garnet is also bullet shaped and at the bottom The other four garnets are cabochon cut as well and are more like half rounds. The moonstone ... moreis truly luminous and is oval shaped cabochon cut. As you can see in the photos, these are crafted very well and have openings in the back for the two large garnets and the moonstone so that the light can bounce through and around these stones. These are in excellent vintage condition and are probably about 25-30 years old. They are truly exquisite earrings for the discriminating buyer who wants a statement piece of jewelry. That said. For Auction is a special piece of Antique Pottery made in 1880's. this piece is Seaweed and Shell pattern. Majolica.apx 6.75 x 2. The small bowl has a few small chips around the scalloped rim and a hair line crack on bottom of dish that doesn't go through. Appears ti be stable. The interior is painted with a delicate pink. Very impressive large.800 silver European Etruscan cuff bracelet with hand painted enamel inset. Piece is clearly marked along the top edge of the side.800 PFI 84. Piece is quite heavy. Detailed and very well made weighing just over 3 ounces! Front of bracelet has a 1 1/8" square hand painted enamel inset depicting camel and rider over the sand. Front. largest area of the bracelet) measures 1 5/8" wide. The smallest area, backside under wrist area) measures 7/8" wide. Piece measures 5/8" thick at the front and 1/8" thick at the back. This bangle is so pretty and is a lovely wearable piece of Victorian jewelry! It has so many subtle things going on it. I'll probably forget to mention something! There is no damage and nothing wrong with it as far as important details go.it may have had a safety chain attached at the undersid where the 2 loops are.it fits well on the wrist as a cuff style and I don't find it bothersome to wear as it sits! I have not cleaned or polished it, so it has lots of antique patina to it. The bulk of it looks like a gilt plate over base metal: the center plaques in each of the square slides look rose gold filled and would really stand out more with a light clean. None of the garnets or ... moreseed pearls look replaced: all appear to be orignal. The seed pearls have lost lustre so are just a matte white. not unusual) Each part of the fancy body is actually an individual slide on a flat bangle frame, but there isn't much movement unless you physically try to. It weighs 18.2 grams, is about 3/4" wide at the top, tapering to 3/8" wide at the body and ends. The relaxed inside circumference is about 6&1/4" but it opens up a bit bigger quite easily. There is age related wear to the gold at the underside, but overall this bangle is exquisite and in excellent condition for age! No damage or detriment. A great piece to add to a collection and wear! Each earring features one 3cm diameter silver plated scrolling'hoop' frame. Suspended within which is a 1.5cm diameter filigree silver plated fretwork flowers and foliage'bird cage' ball. Each hoop and birdcage dropper is suspended beneath a 9mm diameter silver Dog Rose flower-head. Set on the front of silver plated screw clasp fittings. Antique Victorian Etruscan Art Nouveau Italian Silver & Turquoise Bracelet Bangl
Up for your consideration is this beautiful antique robin egg blue turquoise and silver bracelet. Ornately handcrafted in Italy. Bracelet/bangle is stamped Italy with the initials A.L.P. I took to my jeweler and it tested positive for.925 sterling silver and was also told that it was a handmade bracelet. The design is victorian-art nouveau and appears to be from that era due to the type of slide-closure that was most common from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The leaves are beautifully designed on the bracelet and the turquoise cabochon stones are the color of blue robin eggs or persian turquoise. The design repeats the entire bracelet all the way around. There are 6 turquoise stones and none are missing. This bracelet is in excellent condition considering it's age. There is dark patina or black enameling all the way around ... morebut it appears to me to be black enameling with a bit of wearing in some areas. I have not cleaned the bracelet and leave that up to the buyer. Though I would not recommend cleaning off the black enameling. The only other flaw I could find is that there is a tiny flea bite chip on the bottom of one of the turquoise stones but is barely visible and I did not even notice it until I was inspecting the bracelet up close. I took a picture of this stone which is closest to the slide-closure and on the bottom of the stone. This is a rare hard to find Italian made bracelet that you don't often come across these days. Measures approx. 7 1/2 inches around with an inside circumferance of approx. 2 and 3/4 inches. Height(top to bottom) is approx. 6/8 of an inch. I would consider this to fit a medium or average size womans wrist. I have a 6 1/2 inch wrist and it fits a bit loose like a bangle on me. But fits nicely. Very comfortable to wear.
