Furnival England Copper Lustre Aesthetic Movement Pitcher We are pleased to offer this lovely antique Staffordshire pitcher in the neoclassical ETRUSCAN VASES pattern manufactured by the Furnivals Pottery Company. Elder Road, Cobridge, England circa 1890-1895. This Aesthetic Movement pitcher features a shelf with urn, ewer, vase, bottle, candlestick and footed bowl done in copper luster/lustre. This design is repeated on both sides. A brown scroll design with loops decorates the top edge. It has molded leaf designs where the handle joins the pitcher. It is marked with an impressed"Furnival" with some incised numbers. It is also inkstamped 304 8 with 16/4 underneath. It stands 7" tall. It has some wear on the copper band at the bottom(extremely minor) otherwise it is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. This auction is for a photocopy of Gorham's circa 1915 Etruscan sterling silver flatware and hollow ware catalog. The catalog is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and contains 24 pages. It pictures. Most 2/5 actual size, over 100 place and serving pieces in the Etruscan pattern, and, in addition to the more often seen pieces, many unusual pieces, such as a grape fruit holder, marmalade or honey spoon, and sandwich tongs, are included. The catalog also pictures some 60 pieces of hollow ware that were available in the pattern, and among those included are the tea set, fern dish, and patty dish. Included with the catalog is a photocopy of an Etruscan flatware price list date June 2, 1915. The list is 8/12" by 3 3/4" and including the covers, totals 4 pages. It lists over 100 place and serving pieces in the pattern with their prices. This is a fabulous domed Etruscan revival Cannetille style link bracelet. Made in Mexico. It contains the delineated Eagle Mark 2, which dates this piece between 1948- 1955. It is also marked 925 and another mark and then CV. The bracelet weighs in at 23.6 grams. Total length laid flat is 7.5" and approx. 0.5" wide. In great shape; no flattened domes. This Victorian bracelet. Circa 1890, has a rose gold-filled spiral wire band, with gold filled stations on the crossover terminals. These stations are surmounted by rose and gold filled flowers and wirework. The circular band is 3/16" capped with 1/4" stations. It measures 7 1/16" end-to-end. Which appear to be Etruscian Revival– a style popular in the Victorian Era. These are pretty big. Measuring about 4 inches from ear hole to bottom x 1 1/2 inches wide at the bottom. For your consideration is this antique Victorian cameo brooch circa 1850. The cameo is master carved from lava in breathtaking high relief. The cameo is mounted in a gold filled Etruscan Revival setting and flanked with 2 turquoise glass cabochons. During the early 1800s. Its was fashionable for aristocrats to take a"Grand Tour" of Europe. They would visit the most popular of cities and pick up souvenirs along the way. This lava cameo is one that would have been purchased during a visit to Pompeii between 1830 and 1850. The"lava" used in these cameos is said to have been carved from that of Mount Vesuvius, but was actually carved from a limestone indigenous to the Pompeii region. Vintage Deco Art Nouveau 9 Charm Bracelet. c. 1930s. Etruscan. Probably Germany
So collectible. This outstanding and heavy c. 1930s charm bracelet is a Deco or Art Nouveau treasure with Etruscan influences. I collect vintage jewelry- Mexico sterling, Etruscan, and Deco- and the only reason I can sell this now is that my treasure-hunting has turned up a similar piece. Occasionally, one will find variations of these fabulous bracelets, but they're getting scarce, and I had not found one in a long time! First. A note about color: The most accurate representation of colors is in the photo of the bracelet on my wrist. The reddish stone(carnelian? is carnelian red and not quite a bright red as my other photos make it appear. The 2 green stones are a jade green and might actually be jade, but they look at bit more turquoise in my pix. These 7 cast fobs are each little works of art. Aren't they? Such nice craftsmanship ... moreand patina. This is probably from Germany and I'm told that it's definitely prewar. The bracelet is a classic double rolo with smooth and twisted cannetille links. I think this is silver metal or low-grade silver. The stones? I think the lapis-blue one, the yellow heart-shaped one, and the dark(almost black) blue cabochon are probably art glass, but the jade green and carnelian-color ones may be genuine gemstone. Often, genuine and art glass stones were mixed in bracelets of this type. The value, of course, is in the age and vintage style. This is in very good vintage condition with natural patina, vestiges of the original oxidized finishes, and the surface wear that one would expect. ETRUSCAN REVIVAL VERY UNUSUAL 1920's EDWARDIAN NECKLACE with early bakelite
Here is a very unusual necklace. It is a Etruscan revival type necklace popular with the openinig of King Tut's tomb in the 1920's. The metal chain is very unique link. Very ornate. The HUGE hand cut clear glass beads 1" across! The square rectangular cut beads are early bakelite, light green with the most unique metal overlay. Metal ornate openwork round beads. I don't think you will see another necklace like this one. about 32" long, the chain needs cleaned but don't clean vintage jewelry. This is almost 100 yrs old.
