STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE CHAMBER POT - "ETRUSCAN VASES" PATTERN
This is a gorgeous piece of late 19th century pottery. The"Etruscan Vases" pattern was made by several different potters. And although this piece has no maker's mark, it is obviously of high quality. Hand painted in red are the numbers"3049" and"10/4" There is a capital"K" impressed to the side which may not be visible in the pictures, as well as another letter or number that I can't make out. If I have misread any of the numbers, I apologize now. The pot is approximately 10" across not including the handle, about 7" high including the acorn, with a weight slightly over 6 lbs. The cover has an acorn handle nestled on raised applied leaves. There are areas on the top and handle that appear to have hand-painted accents. Condition: I would say this piece is in very good condition with ... moreage appropriate wear. In an effort to be as exact as possible I note the following: On the pot handle there is a small ding on the edge of the leaf which can be seen in one of the pictures. On the underside of the pot handle is a manufacturing flaw which we may not be able to photograph. There is some normal wear to the bottom rim, and tiny specks of discoloration on the cream portion of the bowl, and I think"specks" is really the appropriate word. Please magnify and examine each picture as we've tried to photograph it from every angle and they are part of our description. This is the nicest I have ever seen.

Very pretty. Typical styled Victorian era Etruscan Revival style brooch in good condition. It is the shape of a stubby Maltese Cross. It is unmarked and untested. The metal looks like gilded silver. Measures 2" x 1-3/8" Weighs 11.6 grams. Large citrine colored oval-cut crystal rhinestone at center. Shell motif pattern to end of arms; crown-like patterns to the top and bottom. Nice enameled engraving. Symmetrical engraved scroll work is still crisp. Three dangles shaped like plumb bobs are well separated and graduated size. Spinning safety catch is a vintage replacement. Unmarked and untested. The metal is unknown. Comparisons suggest the brooch may be made of gold-washed silver. The brooch will benefit from careful cleaning; it is quite dirty. It looks like it may be from the Victorian era judging by its design and simple C clasp closure. Or possibly from a deco Victorian revival era or a later period. The brooch is made of embossed goldtone metal and is unmarked. It features a red round cabochon stone that is bezel-set into the front of the pin. There are three matching red beads with filigree bead caps on the bottom that dangle from below the brooch. The brooch measures approximately 1 ¼” wide and 1 ½” long top to bottom bead. Rare Majolica Etruscan Griffen Smith Hill Plate Dish from 1872-1892 Grape Leaf
This is a very old. Rare, antique plate or dish from the 1880's made in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Grape leaf pattern, made by GS&H(Griffen, Smith and Hill) Measures 6 5/8" across by 6 7/8" A few chips. Some tarnishing of the glaze and some crazing. I copied some of the very interesting history of Griffen, Smith and Hill and it is below. Their history verifies the time that this plate was made. David Smith. A potter from England, later joined the firm adding his talents to that of John Griffen(of the Phoenix Iron Works and Griffen Gun fame) and David and Samuel Reeves. Later Griffen, seeking a business for his son, Harry, bought shares in the business. William Hill was a boss potter, who may have also owned some shares. By 1882, the firm was known as Griffen, Smith and Hill(GS& H) and it began manufacturing Etruscan ... moreMajolica. In ancient times the Etruscans, or residents of the region around Rome, Italy, had excelled in making this form of pottery-all made by hand. GS& H added the word"Etruscan" to their logo. As an adjective the word"Etruscan" means art while as a noun it means an inhabitant of ancient Etruria. In 1880, the company employed 74 people- 55 men and 19 women The average wage at that time was $2.50 per day although piece work pay did generate higher wages for some workers. The firm used molds and then steam powered tools for pressing and grinding the majolica. The high gloss and brilliant colors came from glazes made from oxides to which tin and lead were added. The oxides were ground. Added to liquid clay or slip and sand to make the glazes. The tin that was added to the lead in the glazes gave Phoenixville Majolica its special brilliance. The glazes required the talents of carefully-trained artists because the process allowed no retouching. Vintage Necklace Etruscan Style Tribal Collar Turquoise Beads
This gorgeous necklace features eight beautiful. Etruscan style, hollow pendants, on a strand of turquoise beads. It measures 1 1/2" long from the top center and the entire necklace is about 18" around. My boyfriend and I ran a curiosities shop in Laguna Beach. California for many years. When we left the business. We sold our entire inventory except for the jewelry. A lot of these pieces were made by various local artists from the 1960’s to the 1990’s using both new and recycled components. DESCRIPTION:This is a lovely.Pristine piece from the Etruscan Revival Period. It is English in origins and in wonderful condition. Applied gold balls to the top and bottom of the front half of the bracelet frame the detailed style. Running through the center of the bracelet are three, small cabachon angel skin pieces of coral set intermittently with two rose cut diamonds. Emanating outwards from the center is detailed gold, wire work, with more applied beading and another rose cut diamond and cabachon coral on either side. This auction is for a 7th century Etruscan bronze tray with a scalloped edge and a central"dead bird" motif. Note the exquisite detail of the high relief image of the bird. As well as the bed of leaves. The Etruscans were known to be expert metalsmiths, especially when working in bronze. The Etruscans were an ancient people who preceded the Romans and thrived in Etruria, which is now known as Tuscany. To date, their ancient language has never been translated or deciphered. Vintage Etruscan Charm Bracelet 800 Three "Poison" Charms
The 7" linked bracelet has 7 fob type charms attached. Three of the charms have secret compartments so are sometimes called"poison charms" One of the charms has a very nice faceted teardrop amethyst and a smaller charm has a carved beetle shaped amethyst. There is a large cabochon carnelian and what I think is a green chrysoprase cabochon. The smaller stones are carnelian. This is a really wonderful vintage statement belt that is unworn with the original store tags attached. It was made by Accessocraft NYC and has a large ornate gold buckle on a black leather belt. The buckle is 2 part and measures 5-1/2 by 2-1/2" The belt is 1-1/4" wide and made of black leather. It is adjustable. The length of the leather is 34" end to end. However, you will need to allow room to fold it over to attach the buckle. It is in very good condition. The original store tag is from a place called"Seder's" and the price was $69.00!

Pair of Etruscan Revival Carved Coral Cameo Earrings Up for auction is a n exquisite pair of estate earrings. They measure a total of 2-1/8" long. Including the wires, and weigh a total of 4.7 grams. Based on similar earrings and on the quality of the workmanship. I believe the main part of the earrings, and probably the wires as well, are 14k, but please note that they have not been tested. The earrings feature a 3-part construction. The wires have a half-sphere and loop at the base. The cameo portion descends from that. And a delicate open spear design is hinged at the bottom and swings freely. The cameos are prong-set inside a tiny rope-twist. And the surrounding gold frame and the spear-head are finely engraved with an intricate pattern that catches the light beautifully. The back sides.
