Early 1900's, from my Mom's estate ... moreClearly marked with the Gorham hallmarks and"Sterling" Length: just over 7" Width across tines: approx. 1 3/8" Width at end of handle: 11/16" This auction is for one antique Gorham Sterling Silver Small Cold Meat Fork in the Etruscan pattern. This is a serving fork. The smaller of two made by Gorham in this pattern. I have added a photo(3) with this fork between a dinner fork and a salad fork, to give a better idea of the size. This item is from my Mom's estate, inherited from my paternal grandmother, and has been used. The Etruscan pattern is simple and elegant, with stepped, squared-off handle end with a Greek Key pattern. There is a ridge on either side, just inside of the handle edge, the length of the tapered handle. There is dark oxidation in the recesses of the key design and the recess between the ridge and the edge of the handle, accenting the lines of the piece. The handle is gently curved. One tine is wider than the others. The compact size of this fork makes it a versatile serving piece. This is thick, sturdy, solid Sterling Silver nearly 2mm thick. It's a simple and elegant piece. CONDITION: Good to Very Good antique. Pre-owned, used, with no structural damage; not bent or misshapen. No monogram or monogram removal. There are some fine polishing marks and light scratches consistent with use, and a few very tiny dings, pinprick sized, no deep gouges. The fork has been hand polished. I leave any further polish detailing to the new owner. Please see the photos. A fine addition to a set of Gorham Etruscan flatware. Lovely on the dining table! Upcycled Antique Victorian Mourning Locket Necklace Etruscan Revival White Pearl
This necklace features an early Victorian locket suspended from a strand hand knotted of pearls in a classic Victorian style with a gold plated pocket watch fob connector. The locket is gold plated and dates to around 1870. It is in good condition with has a nice patina due to age. I believe that there was another arrow pointing up. Like the one on the bottom, that has broken off at some point during this locket's long life. One photo is present, though there is a lip under the other side that could hold another photo just as securely. It measures 1.25 inches from the top of the ring to the bottom of the locket, is 7/8s of an inch wide, and is 1/4 an inch thick. It features an applied design of Etruscan Revival arrows and flourishes. I selected the finest quality freshwater pearls imported from Japan. Eastlake style antique victorian locket! Beautiful etruscan details and rose gold accents adorn this lovely piece. Locket is 7.7 grams and is 10k gold. The height on the locket including the bail is 1.75" and it is 7/8" across at it widest point. the only flaw is the glass cover is missing to the hair compartment. The removable ring that holds the glass in is present so it would be easy to replace this with a piece of mylar cut to size. I wore this to work the other day and got a lot of compliments on it and how unusual looking it is. Although this is a very old piece it is a timeless style that is very wearable. This piece dates to circa 1879. The chain is done in a twist design. With a ribbed finish. The cross itself is very much in the Etruscan Revival style, with fine applied wirework which is all intact. Each branch of the cross has a stylized clover or flower design on the end, which is repeated on the bail. The center where the branches cross has a faceted shape in gold. The chain can be worn alone with the connecting short length of chain and the cross, or another pendant could be attached, making this a particularly versatile piece. An extraordinary and rare bone segment of an Etruscan"sanguisuga" leech) fibula/pin. Ca. 800 BC! The bone portion is clearly a bear tooth that originally was used as an amulet(broken round opening at top) The piece was then bored to insert bronze segments for creating the fibula- parts of these can still be seen on the body and ends of the piece; other segments presumably have eroded. 2 Great candlesticks by Gorham. These are stackable sterling silver weighted pieces with the Etruscan pattern around the inner edge on the top of each. At auction is a Victorian bangle bracelet from the 1880's. It is gold filled and in the Etruscan style. It measures 2 1/2" across. 2" wide, and the inside circumference is 6 1/2, so it will fit only a small wrist since it does not open or expand. The bracelet features an applied top which has a center wheel shaped decoration. It has 7 square garnets set beneath the surface. There are engraved sprigs at the sides and two small gold filled screws attach the top plate to the bracelet body. The piece has no company names or marks but is guaranteed old and as described. It is in very good condition with no damage to the top plate or stones. The bracelet has minor gold loss and is a bit out of shape. Beautiful antique piece. Thanks for looking.

Late Victorian Edwardian Etruscan Revival Earrings This handsome pair of earrings are in the style of Etruscan or classical revival popular in the late 19th century. I believe that these date from the late 19th or early 20th century. Screw back earrings were introduced in the 1890's and became popular around 1909. It's also possible that the brass screw backs on these earrings replaced an earlier finding. They are 1 1/2 inches high and just over 3/8 inch in diameter on the top. The gold filled finish is wearing on the sides and on the rough textured ball on the front. There's also a tiny raised lump of metal on the disc on the earring at the right in the photos. These gorgeous. 1980's earrings feature huge black, Art Deco drops. They measure 3 3/4" long without the hooks. My boyfriend and I ran a curiosities shop in Laguna Beach. California for many years. Presenting a Heavy 20K Yellow Gold Etruscan Openwork Enamel Persian Turquoise Bracelet This is such a luxurious and beautiful bracelet. It is done in a high karat 20K Gold and features 7 links. There once was a white and pink enamel finish on the surface of the openwork design. But it is now 90% worn away, and I dont dare to repair it as it would lose its integrity as an antique piece, I feel. I also do not want to remove the remaining enamel, as it is actually quite beautiful the way it is. There is persian turquoise set in each of the bezels which are flower like in shape. The turquoise pieces are not all the same. And some of them seem to have been replaced. It is a total of 38 grams. There are no markings or stamps on this bracelet. Thank you for looking. Bellport Jewelers& Rarities 631-286-7700 Description. This is a pair of exquisitely designed bangle bracelets. They are size small- one measuring 2 2/16" in diameter and the other 2 3/16" in diameter. They are both 6 3/4" outside circumference and 6" inside. They are oval in shape. They test on our testing stones higher than 14KT but not 18KT so they are probably 15 or 16KT gold. They look in color like classic 18KT yellow gold. These are American and circa 1880. Originally sold in the Magnificent Jewelry Auction at Sotheby's in 1993 I've photographed their catalogue description which is" Pair of Gold Bangle Bracelets- American. Last quarter 19th century- In rvivalist style within borders of florets continuing to the back, togther weighing approximately 34 dwts. stamped on the inside- Pat'd Feb 25, ... more1879 and Oct. 14th. 79, May 18.80. With fitted box stamped on the silk: Mermod, Jaccard& Col. 4th& Locust Str. St. Louis. along with the auction estimate of $2500-$3000 from 1993 when gold was trading in the $350/oz range. I did a bit more research and the patents are from jewelry designer Charles Hein from Corono Queens NY and what's so unique about this bracelet is that there are projecting flanges along its edges to protect the delicate twisted gold wire and granulation decoration. The reissue dates were then issued to Hale& Mulford of New York. New York. They are wide measuring 3/4" across so they are really dramatic on. Yes they are both full of little nicks and marks where there is no decoration but we haven't polished them. Didn't want to disturb the orginal patina but whomever purchases them can have them polished and most of these little nics and abrasions will come right out. I also note the portion that is protecting the bead work has a slightly pinkish hue to it making for a most delightful contrast with the very 18KT yellow decorative portions.
