It is quite likely that the ring was worn most of a lifetime, as it would take most of a life time to wear an engraved bezel smooth. In fact the extent of the wear is significant enough that it suggests that the ring might have been worn during the lifetime of more than one owner. For your consideration is this stunning VINTAGE VICTORIAN ETRUSCAN GOLD FILLED CAMEO BANGLE BRACELET signed R& F. The lovely bangle features Etruscan laurel wreath leaves on either side of a cameo. At first glance I thought it was Angel Skin coral. But upon closer inspection I believe it is shell or glass, meant to emulate coral. This is offset by bezel set green stones, on either side. Signed R&F on the inside. It has a side opening for the push-in clasp, which closes securely and doesn't come open when simply tugged upon(it has a tiny depression lever) It does have to be lined up exactly for closure. The bangle measures a bit over 2 3/8" across and will fit up to a 7" wrist. But for a bit of"hang" it best fits a wrist measuring no more than 6 3/4" Width across the cameo center is 1" Metal finish ... moreon the front of bangle is beautiful and shows little wear; however. The back half of bangle does have missing finish wear on the edges(where wearer rested their arm against things) Also, there is a spot which measures about 3/4" on the back- this is missing the finish(once again, where the wearer rested arm against something) The two greeb stones are close in color, but one appears to have been replaced decades ago(I had to look thru a loupe to see this) That said, since the front displays nicely, it is still in very wearable condition and looks beautiful on. Vintage Etruscan Fob Charm Bracelet. Huge. Brass
On the rare occasions when they turn up. I've seen variations of this same bracelet described variously as"early 1900s CHINA" and as"Deco 1930s. With the thermoset stones(the darlings of late Deco'30s designers) I vote for this as a 1930s piece, but that's only my best guess. Really nice quality. On the fob charm, note how the prong-set cabochons in different colors surround the large bezel-set diamond-shape centerpiece. Such nice dimension. The bracelet? SO fab- heavy and solid with great detail and patina. There's almost a coppery-rosy look to the aged metal. Which is probably brass or an alloy with some copper in it. The dimensional leaf design on the back of this huge round fob is a"signature" of sorts. Which you will find on the backs of the huge fobs on bracelet by the same maker. I've been ... moretold that this is Chinese export, but I know nothing definitive. I do not see a hallmark or maker's mark, so we know it's pre-WWII, since jewelry did not have ego be marked until the late 1930s or early 1940s. This is big and heavy- BOLD and fun to wear. This is a really beautiful and unique piece. I believe this is an ancient mirror and. Judging from the images, Etruscan. This would date it to several hundred years B.C. This images are somewhat difficult to see but they seem to be of a man and woman. This may have been a museum piece but I am not certain. This piece was obviously displayed as it has the spring mount bracket. I haven't come across anything like it in my nearly 40 years on the estate sale circuit. This is a really nice find. Seed pearl and onyx or black glass suite consisting of a pair of earrings and a pendant/brooch. This suite dates to the 1860s-1870s and is of Italian make. The suite is done in the Etruscan Revival style of that time period, with fancy gold wirework and ropetwist edges. The pendant/brooch and earrings each feature a grape cluster with leaves, made from seed pearls and gold. The grape clusters stand out attractively from the black glass or onyx background. The earrings have kidney wires, suitable for pierced ears. The brooch has an old C style clasp as well as a little loop that could be used for a chain or cord. These pieces are not stamped or hallmarked. ... moreWe have tested them with nitric acid and guarantee the gold to be 14 karat. The set is in great overall condition. The brooch has a crack visible on the reverse. But due to the drilled and glued construction of the piece the onyx/glass is still very secure. One of the earrings is missing some of its seed pearls and it looks like one is replaced. Additional seed pearls could be added as part of a restoration, we leave that up to the buyer. Otherwise there are no issues whatsoever. Each earring is about half an inch in diameter. The pendant/brooch measures about 1 1/4 by 1 inch. The total weight for the set is 12.0 grams. jm. Rare Victorian Antique Etruscan Revival 14k YG Floral Pietra Dura Large Earrings This lovely pair of earrings are not marked for gold content but they were carefully tested to determine that they are 14k gold. The earrings are beautifully made; the frames are Etruscan revival with small leaf design. There is one very small hole in the frame located slightly to the left of the ear wire. I did my best to photograph this area. It isn’t noticeable when the earrings are worn. Set into the center of the earrings are pietra dura plaques depicting flowers and leaves. The pietra dura is in wonderful condition. The earrings measure 1 inch long not including the ear wire by 13/16 of an inch at the widest point.
