The Twelve Caesars by Michael Grant. DESCRIPTION: Hardback with Dust Jacket: 294 pages. Publisher: Scribner's(1975) ISBN:0684144026. Michael Grant ... moreis considered the greatest popularizer of ancient history of the century. A highly successful and renowned historian of the ancient world. This book is a biography of the lives of“The Twelve Caesars” the first twelve emperors of Imperial Rome. The book examines the public and private lives of Julius Caesar and the following eleven Roman Emperors. Grant investigates the myths and legends surrounding these men and explores the effects of their public careers on their private lives. If you’re a buff or serious student of Roman History, this is a“must have” CONDITION: LINE NEW. Unblemished save for modest edge and corner shelfwear to dustjacket(including a few very small(1/4 inch) Neatly mended closed edge tears along top top edge of the dustjacket(front and back) Otherwise based on the tightness of the binding, it seems likely that the book was only flipped through a few times(but never actually read through) at worst lightly read once. Pages are pristine; clean, crisp, unmarked, unmutilated, tightly bound; though there's slight yellowing to the front end paper caused by the yellowing of the front dustjacket flap. Otherwise all pages are bright and clean. A handsome volume with only very mild purely cosmetic blemishes. Satisfaction unconditionally guaranteed. In stock, ready to ship. PLEASE SEE IMAGES BELOW FOR JACKET DESCRIPTION(S) AND FOR PAGES OF PICTURES FROM INSIDE OF BOOK. PLEASE SEE PUBLISHER. PROFESSIONAL, AND READER REVIEWS BELOW. PROFESSIONAL REVIEW: REVIEW: Conspiracy. Suspicion, power, corruption, poison, conquests, marauders, murders and more murders. Such is the history of Roman Empire. Then again there are copious examples from every nation's history of such dastardly acts to grab power, from Egyptians pharos, to Bourbons, to Indian Moguls, to British royalty. Human nature has changed very little in two thousand years. Now instead of murderi

Ancient Roman Silver Alloy Ring with Deep Blue Glass Stone 200-400 AD Apart from gold and other precious metals. Romans used glass to make their jewelry. ... moreRoman jewelry gives us an insight into the culture of this ancient country. Just like other ancient civilizations. Rome also had its distinct strata of social classes. In the Roman society, jewelry was worn for indicating the social status of a person and attaching pieces of clothing rather than beautification. Gold was used by the artisans and jewelers for carving the adornments and jewelry as it was believed to be the metal of the Gods and supposed to have descended from the sun. Other than gold, the materials used in jewelry making were bronze, Roman glass, bone beads and precious gemstones which were excavated from far off places like Persia, Far East, Indus Valley, etc. Diamonds, emeralds and sapphires found their way from the silk route to the Roman land to appease the rich and mighty of this civilization. Circa: 200-400 AD Ring’s Diameter: 16 mm Height from top to bottom: 19.5 mm Type of material/s used: Silver Alloy& Glass Condition: Extra Fine. I never touch up photos to hide imperfections, and I always take the most clear and accurate photos I can so that you get the best idea possible of how the coin actually looks, blemishes and all. Never have, and never will engage in shill bidding(a dishonest practice by which the seller or a proxy places phony bids to drive the price up) Some ... moresellers try to justify shill bidding by saying that they need to protect themselves from losing money on the item, but that's the wrong way to do it. The right way to do it is that way that I do it-I set a minimum bid at the price below which I would lose money on the item, and from that point on, all the bidding is free and fair. I do not. Never have, and never will use deceptive photos that hide imperfections in the coin. I never touch up photos to hide imperfections, and I always take the most clear and accurate photos I can so that you get the best idea possible of how the coin actually looks, blemishes and all. If there is some weird thing that doesn't show up in the photos, I will put it in the description. Combined Shipping I do combine shipping. Items can be combined within the same calendar week. If you win more than one item. Whichever item has the highest listed shipping cost is the one you pay, and all the rest are free. Extremely Rare 307 AD Ancient Roman Maxentius Coin MAXENTIVSPFAVG GOOD SHAPE
I am selling an extremely rare 307 AD roman coin of Maxentius. I looked up this coin and it states that it is one of the rarest of the roman coins still able to be found. I have seen these prices vary from very poor coin at 45.00 to 500.00 for a fairly good coin. I have included pictures of my coin. I purchased this coin at an estate auction and was purchased from a world war 1 veteran whom got it overseas while with the military. This is an original coin and you can still see most of the lettering and stilll has a really good facial design and the back of the coin is pretty good as well. Please email me any more questions you may have. Thank you so much for seeing this auction.
