The ring consisting of a solid band slightly rounded and ending in wider bended shoulders and a transversely oval bezel. The bezel depicting a straight forward eagle, the wings vertical and standing on a rod or similar. Right and left is engraved a legion standard. The lower end of the rod is incised with the inscription LEG and III. The last two pictures show the ring in the original uncleaned condition. We have cleaned it a little so that the details are easier to see but tried to preserve the original condition and patina. It shows the head of a lion extremely finely and heavily cast in silver with detailing even to the teeth in the open mouth. This is a good wearable silver ring. There is no damage or repairs.
