I think these are fence toppers or finials. These are previously owned. Each is 7 1/2 inches long. These are cast iron and a magnet will stick to these where ever I put it. Iron and Hand Carved Wooden Draped Hearse Finials- An AWESOME Pair!
Up for auction is a truly unique pair of draped hearse finials from my father's wagon collection. These could be mounted on posts on either side of a gated entrance for a showy look! Use in new construction as a newel post surmount. Mantel ornaments or lamp bases as they could be drilled for wiring. Anyway you use them they are certainly one-of-a-kind and not to be missed. The quality on each is first rate! They each stand 17 1/2" high and 9" wide including the handles. Base diameter is 6 1/2" The Wood Flames can be removed as shown in the 5th picture. During fair weather Plumes were installed for the service. During inclement weather the Wooden Flames were in place. The draped side panels can be removed if you want as shown in pictures 8 and 9. Set of 6 HEAVY CAST IRON Vtg/Antique ACORN FINIALS Fence Gate Post Tops Caps 5" Beautiful set of 6 of vintage/antique metal acorn finials. I am not sure of the age but they appear to be quite old. I believe that they are cast iron. They are thick and heavy. About 3 pounds each. The finials are painted black and stand approximately 5" tall. The bases measure 3" x 3 1/4" at the widest point with the interior dimensions being somewhat smaller. There are screw holes at either end of the shorter sides to secure the finials to the top of a post. It looks as if there are screw remnants in these holes and they would probably need to be drilled out if you plan on using them as intended. 3 of the bases have breaks(see pics) There is some wear and flaking to the black paint( you can see other paint colors in some areas) and also ... moresome rust here and there. Cast Iron Finials PAGE 25H-2 Fence Post Top Vintage Steam Punk Lot Of 5 Nice set of 5 cast iron finials. Probably were used to mount atop rectangular fence posts, but could be used for paperweights or just displayed as vintage architechtural pieces. These are heavy cast iron. 7" tall, outer measurements as bottom are 2.5" X 3" and would fit a 1-7/8" X 2-1/4" square post. The oblong hole measures 1-3/4" by 2-1/4" and probably is a hole for a fence top rail. The small curve at the top is about 3/8" diameter and may have been to attach barbed wire? for extra security. Selling 5 in a lot. It's all I have and there won't be any more after they are gone. Weight of each one is almost 2.5 pounds! Will be shipped in a medium priority flat rate box. Almost 13 pounds of vintage cast iron.

But it glows brightly under the black light. I thought they might be drawer pulls or possibly furniture or curtain hardware; but I think they are for a chandelier or hanging light fixture. If someone has more information on them. I would love to know more about these pieces. They are 2 7/8" long. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. There is a large bubble inside of one finial.
