Old Victorian Black Paper Mache Large Oval Tray w Mother of Pearl
Old Victorian Black Paper Mache Large Oval Tray with Mother of Pear l Decoration. The tray has a center image featuring a dog and children. The image is trimmed with gilt roses. The raised rim is trimmed with gilt scrolls. The edge of the rim is curled. The tray is not marked. SIZE: 16 1/2 inches long x 13 1/2 inches wide. CONDITION: The tray has age wear with losses to the center image. The paper mache has a few crack lines. The reverse side has some scratch marks and spi der web stress marks- with wear marks and spots with color loss. The rim edge has a few small losses. The gilt has some wear. The tray has overall s pots with wear losses. It appears to be a very old piece. Great display piece.

Vintage Wood Divided Tray Display Shelf Miniatures Trinket Shadowbox Storage Box
This vintage wooden Divided Tray/Display Shelf has nice clean lines and measures 16" long x 12" high x 1-5/8" deep. Outer frame is made of four pieces of 3/8" thick wood. Not sure what type, possibly birch, and inner dividers are made of several pieces of 7/16" thick wood, same type of wood as frame. The back is made of one solid piece of a very thin wood, different from the rest. There are 25 individual compartments with the largest one being 5-1/4" x 2-5/8" see 1st photo, bottom, middle compartment) and the smallest one being 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" see middle rectangular compartments) There are two small picture hanging hooks attached to two corners for hanging. This divided tray/shelf is well made, sturdy and secure. There are a few surface marks and light scratches due to age and wear, but overall ... moreitem is in excellent condition. It features the patina and staining one would expect from such a piece. Often used for cutlery or silverware, these are very useful and can be repurposed for many different ideas. My favorite is to house remotes for the TV or stereo. The only condition issue to discuss is that the bottom board is a bit wrapped and there are a few minor splits by the nails. The walnut wood is smooth and worn with a rich aged patina. The tray has three sections. One long and two smaller on the opposite side divided by a center board incorporating the cut out handle. The wooden tray. A utilitarian staple of the 18th and 19th Century is in very good condition. It has survived it's often damaging purpose with only minor scratches and losses to the finish. The underside of the tray is unfinished walnut which would polish beautifully. The tray measures 15 5/8" wide x 9 7/8" deep x 4 3/8" to the top of the handle. Excellent Condition. the spots in the pictures are from the camera flash) No Chips, Cracks, or Repairs. The growth of the Myrtlewood tree in Oregon is more or less a mystery. For with it's thick, satiny leaves, olive like fruit, and fragrant oil is is suggestive of the Orient, though it might have graced the Pacific slope even in Biblical times, being a sister tree of the Myrtle which Old Testament writers mention. It was known and loved by the Ancient Greeks, who used it's beautiful leaves to form crowns of honor for those on whom they wished to confer some special recognition. The wood is of fine texture, extremely hard, and is remarkable for its variation of coloring and curiously formed grain, like no other ... morewood in the world. The colors shade from silvery gray through warm tan and vivid browns, to black. Not one tree in fifty is suitable for gifts, and very careful seasoning is required. The skill and artistry of the craftsmen in producing these gifts for your admiration and use is then applied to bring out the desired effects of it's varied grains, making each one a work of beauty to behold. Antique Early 20th Century Serving Tray with LITHO Under Glass CHALKWARE? NR!
I recently sold a 19th Century chalkware bust that needed some restoration work and the person that bought did an OUTSTANDING job! This tray falls into that same category! I am not sure of what the underlaying portion of the tray is made with. But I am fairly certain it is overlaid with a chalkware finish! As the photos show it does need some repair BUT nothing major or extreme! I believe the handles are solid copper and they are in EXCELLENT condition! The litho is titled"The Farm Yard" but I do not see any maker's marks! It is in EXCELLENT condition with some age"wrinkling" throughout and a crease with a little surface wear in the window area near the left side! The type of lithography helps date this to the early 20th Century! I believe the glass is original! The bottom needs to be redone and refelted! London while St Dunstan's Lodge is being modified. After moving there, we become known as St Dunstan's and our members as St Dunstaners. We help members train in massage(physiotherapy) shorthand typing, telephone operating, poultry farming, carpentry, basket and mat making and shoe and boot repairing. Many go on to return to normal life after World War One and make a living with these newly acquired skills. 1918 By the end of the year. This is for a great vintage Camfield Tray! They cam in several color combinations and designs. This one is the classic red wood with golden leatherette. very old distressed wooden tray has seen a lot of life. The bottom as you can see in photo has faired quite well with minor marks. There are a couple of minor nicks to edge of tray. The chequered pattern is still clear to see but worn in places. I hope you can see this on the phot. It looks more distressed than it ought to. Weighs 240 gms unpackaged.

SOLID VINTAGE WOODEN TRAY CUT OUT DESIGN AND HANDLES
Really good and sturdy wooden tray with a lovely design cut out of the sloping sides and cut outs for carrying at each end.Made of multiple pieces of wood. The base is slatted so the whole tray will not carry spills. They will go through the gaps, and it has a runner across either end so that the middle stands off from the table etc. I don't know my woods so cannot say which it is but the whole thing is very neat and tidily made. 14" long x13" wide and 3" deep. Each piece of wood is approx 3/8" thick I always try to keep postage to the minimum and am happy to combine postage and packing on multiple purchases so why not check out my other items for sale. For auction is this great vintage Hasko serving tray made by Ha skelite of Chicago. It is a Mystic Tray or Ouija board design. It measures 25" long and 15 1/2" wide. There are 2 cracks in 2 different co rners as shown in the pictures. No other cracks or damage. A little bit of wear on the corners but overall very good for the age. It is a lithograph on wood.

Very Old Wooden (bottom, sides, dividers all wood) Printers Type Drawer Signed
Printer Type Drawer made entirely of wood. It is very sound for it's age which I believe to be about 150 years old based on the names written on the bottom of the box and the stenciling which is barely legible. The Names Downey& Brouse Indianapolis are written on the bottom which can be seen in photo#2. There is a reference to Captain Charles Brouse supervising the printing of documents for the Grand Old Army of the Republic in 1866. The firm of Downey and Brouse had ceased operations by 1887 according to a reference by Major Oliver M. Wilson. The inside of the drawer appears to have had a liner of paper all across the bottom beneath the drawer dividers which is in rough shape. The drawer does show some evidence of moisture contamination.
