This is a beautiful old tray. It is in good condition. The paint is fair but not great as you can see. The wood has a crack on the rim on both sides about the middle of the tray. This large Florentine bowl measures 10.5 inches square. Red and Green with Gold Center and edges. The original Florentia label is attached. Truly lovely Florentine tray. Vintage 50's or so, in marvelous near-perfect condition. Workmanship and palette of this very sweet gal are excellent, with dusty rose and teal blue alongside gold gilt giving off a beautiful glow. Sure to delight, this is one of the nicest of this kind of Italian gilt wood pieces, that I've found ever! Measuring 9" x 6" a perfect size for use at bedside for corralling jewelry or reading classes, or perhaps on your desk for similar non wet items so well preserved! Beaded edge makes it extra special. And only one 1/2" area shows imperfection(see close-up, where a bit of gold paint was dabbed on) but is certainly not enough to detract. Anyone with weakness for this type of Florentine handicraft, will be smitten with this beauty.
