Rescued from a thrift store, has some damage, however, with a good rub of mineral oil it will look great, but CANNOT be used ... morefor food as it has been repaired with unknown glue. The bottom is marked with the number 833. Sold as is. Nice to look at, but not the greatest specimen of this wonderfully designed bowl. I believe it was glued around the perimeter of the bottom seam and one side seam. It measures about 9-1/2 inches at the widest point on the bottom and stands a little over 4 inches tall. The repair job apparently included putting the freshly glued bowl on top of some newspaper to dry. And so of course some got stuck to the bottom. I used some superfine steel wool to remove glue residue where the bowl was repaired on one side, where it looks lighter. It is very smooth there and should look fine after a good rub of oil. PLEASE RESCUE THIS BOWL! It will look great on display! I'd keep it myself if I had room to display this. Please inspect all 11 photos closely. Use the zoom tool, the pictures are an important part of my description. Delivery Confirmation included. A small handling fee is included in the shipping cost. I usually ship in used boxes that are sturdy and clean with appropriate packing materials to keep the item(s) safe. Please note delivery time estimates when you use the calculator. This item features a beautiful hand carved design around the edges of each tier and is topped by a pineapple with removable stems used for dipping.The height of this item is approximately 26 inches. The lower tier has 4 matching serving bowls one bowl is chipped and is in the photos. The second tier is smaller with 4 smaller matching bowls. The top tier is where the pineapple sits and it is removable with an open place for dips or such. The stalk pieces to the pineapple have some small scuffs but there are none broken. The patina is very nice and the tray is in excellent condition with a few very fine scratches on the bottom of the tray. But could possibly disappear with conditioning or polish. Carving in the center of the tray and on the inside and outside edges of the tray. The center has a brass inlay of leaves, along with a swirl outline around the leaves. The center of the tray has carved flowers around the inlay, then there is a border of squiggle, then another border of vines and leaves. Beautiful Hand-Carved Dark Wooden Serving Tray. Fruit/Cheese Platter. Floral Design Circa 1940's A stunning hand carved vintage wooden tray. Which I believe is teak. A particularly nice example of carved wood folk art. The beautiful carving work extends around the lip of this tray. Culminating in stylized floral and leaf design at each end, forming handles. The tray is made from a single piece of wood, carved to make this practical and beautiful piece, rich with character. The tray measures 16½" x 8” Or 42cm x 20xcm. It looks wonderful just displayed as it is. Or also makes a great dining table centrepiece filled with fruit, or it can be used to serve bread and/or cheese with dinner. Baribocraft was a Canadian company in Quebec through the 60′s& 70′s famous for their gorgeous grained maple and teak woodenware. They were known world-wide for their quality of craftsmanship and innovative styles. This is their signature logo… Sadly Baribocraft ceased production in the 70′s and they are no longer in business. But their pieces have withstood the test of time! With proper care the woodenware looks just as stunning today as it did when it was created. And the quality in craftsmanship ... moreallows for continued use for as long as you have a use! TIP: To care for your Baribocraft. Or any other woodenware for that matter, never soak it in water. Water will dry out the wood. A small amount of coarse salt scrubbed gently on the surface will clean and sanitize your piece, and if you condition the wood occasionally with a butcher block oil, or even a skim of cooking oil it keeps the wood looking fresh and moisturized!

This listing is for a lovely rectangular teak-coloured tray. It features two round serving areas and a fairly intricate floral design carved on the top. It measures 19.75 inches(50 cms) long by 10.75 inches(27 cms) wide. It is in good. Used condition. It is fairly uneven and does not sit flat. You can see some separation at the spots where the wood meets but that is because it is handmade and that does not weaken the tray in any way. Don't miss my complete collection of.
