SWEET OLD VINTAGE FLORENTINE SHABBY TRAY,GLAM CHIC! TRAY #1 LARGE
Today for your consideration is a really sweet old vintage Florentine shabby GLAM chic tray! I own 2 of these& now that we moved& down sized I have no room for them. This auction is for the larger rectangular tray. It is approx. 14" by 11& 1/2" Has gold leaf that has that wonderful glaze& aged patina. The secondary color is a deep sage green. I know it is wood with some sort of composition layered on& then the gold leaf& paint& the age wash but since these are old it really as that patina from age. Beautiful ornate design. Almost a filigree design. There are a few tiny chips& scratches in the plaster/composition as would be a authentic antique one. This was during a time Hollywood glam was very in fashion. Now it is Shabby Chic style& boy howdy does this fit right in!
