For sale is a set of 3 used wooden serving trays made in Japan. They measure 13 x 9" 12 x 8" 11 x 7" They do have some slight staining but I think they should clean up. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE PAIR AMANA COLONIES HANDCRAFTED WOODEN SERVING TRAYS, SIGNED!
This is a beautiful pair of vintage wooden trays with china or porcelain inserts. The wood having been hand-crafted in the Amana Colonies. Each tray measures 12 1/4 inches in diameter, and the edges are curved upward as you may be able to see in the photos. We listed them as signed, because each tray has a sticker on the back that says"THE AMANA COLONIES, NORMAN H. SCHANZ, WEST AMANA, IOWA. The tray with the apples design has a hairline crack in the china or porcelain insert, as you can see in the closeup photo; and there may be a way to repair or camouflage this, but I will leave that up to the buyer. However, when the tray is covered with whatever you might be serving, this would not be noticeable. Each tray has a hole in the back so that they can be hung on the wall. There is just very light wear to the wood, nothing significant; ... moreand of course there are natural grain marks and shadings, because these are real wood. Here are two nice printer boxes that are in good condition. They show normal wear for there age and they have some dings and chips but will make great shadow boxes. They are smaller in size and have great patina. The measure approx. 16 3/4 inches wide. 11 1/4 inches deep, and 1 1/2 inches thick. The one still has masking tape with letters printed on it. This is a vintage set of 3 Italian Florentine gilt Faux wood trays. Made in Italy I believe these to be of a Molded Plastic Material! Color is a green to aqua in some lights. and they are all in Fair to Good shape. They are in graduated sizes with the largest measuring approximately 19" X 13 1/4" Two of them are 16 1/2" X 11 1/2" The pattern of the gilt decoration on the Large tray is a little different then the others and has a fading Stain Please see pics#4 and#9. Up for auction is 2 Vintage Hamilton Wood Type Trays Shadowbox 32"X16" These trays are great for many different uses. They can be used for displaying small knick knacks. Storing screws, bolts, etc. seperating beads and various other crafts. One tray has 88 slots and the other has 89 slots. They have the original handles, one is stamped HAMILTON and the other is HAMILTON MFG. CO. They are both in good condition. One has a couple of broken slots but no other damage. The 4 smallest trays measure: 7.5 x 8.75; 8 x 10.25; 8.5 x 12.25; and 9 x 14.25. The largest tray measures 10 x 16.75 not including the handles. And 10 x 20 including the handles. In good condition with no cracks or missing bits just the pen/pencil marks here and there where previous owners have labelled/numbered the compartments in the past. All compartments are complete. And held together with little ornate brass fixings, with a little stain, or painted these make great wall hanging compartments for a variety of items. Vintage Mahogany SET of 2 Serving Trays 22x14 Handles Bed Butler's Server Wooden
This hard to find set of two perfectly matching. Hand crafted, excellent condition trays will work well as his and her's bed butlers or serving trays. They are very well made, structurally sound and have no stains on the light butter yellow interiors, so they may be unused. There are also no scrapes on the bottom edges, confirming the great condition. They measure a generous 22" X 14" and will hold everything you need for your meal. Carrying is a breeze with nice, wide handles that have a secure cut out design. The design! So nice. And definitely TWO OF A KIND! These hand crafted beauties have a super scalloped edge, and are perfectly imperfect with a rough, raw, home spun appeal. Everything is nice and smooth, however, due to the generous shellacking finish they are coated with. Only the inverted bottom center has a rougher ... moregrain than the remainder of the trays. Construction is by nails or screws at the corners covered by pegs. And I am guessing possibly glue to secure them. They are both very straight when I put my level on them; my square fit perfect into the corners. Whomever made these knew his skill as a carpenter. They have a retro mid century vibe, but I am not positive of the year of creation. Love vintage housewares? Me too! Check all of my listings. Vintage Wooden Trays Set of 2 Figs? Peppers? Hand Carved Monkeypod Wood
Measure 8 1/2" from stem to tip and 5" across at the widest. The stamp on the back indicates the wood is"Monkeypod" and while I'm not expert it sure doesn't seem like it to me. Odd? Almost everything I sell is vintage. And even if it's less than 20 years old it was harvested from estate or garage sales. Thrift stores, auctions or flea markets. Expect condition consistent with age and origin. Or. everything I sell is USED! Now that being said I do my best to fully describe any obvious flaws. I always add a bunch of high quality pictures. Wood Inlay Trays Marquetry Set of 3 Vintage Floral Flowers Handles 19x12x1.5 VGC
Set of 3 Vintage Marquetry Wood Inlay Trays Each of these beautiful trays features a inlay floral blossom surrounded by wood with a gorgeous grain. Then. There is a lighter inlay perimeter to accentuate the flowers. This inlay perimeter is followed by a border of darker wood that leads to raised lengthwise edges and artfully curved handles on the ends. The flowers include a Rose with two leaves. Dogwood blossoms with leaves and smaller blossoms, and a duo of Black-eyed Susan flowers. Each tray measures 19 inches x 12 3/8 inches x 1 1/4 inches(at the handles) Again. The trays are in gorgeous condition given that they are Mid Century Modern. These appear to have been used for display as opposed to their intended usage as a serving tray There are some very superficial scratches. The tray with the dogwood blossom has a bit of a lightly faded ... morespot. Which actually is much more noticeable in the photos. Trays don't sit completely flat. But it's very negligible.
