BIG Vintage Lot Medical And Dental Tools With Wooden Storage Box
Here is a nice lot of vintage medical and/or dental tools. I got these all lumped together as you see them here. I would guess there are better than 50 pieces in this lot but I did not actually count them! All kinds of stuff- I don't really know what alot of it was used for. Some pieces are marked. Most appear to be made of stainless steel. All of this comes with a very nice wooden box. The box measures 8 3/8" x 15 7/8" and is about 3 5/8" deep. Looks hand made. There is a date of 6/7/1946 and a name on the inside of the lid. Overall good/fair condition of the tools with wear and corrosion and some cleaning is in order. The wooden box is very good with some light wear. This item will be shipped via FedEx as it is heavy! A nice display item! Paypal is accepted for payment. Vintage cobblers tools in wooden toolbox early primitive
It's all here. All I did was clean up the wood with liquid gold and went over the cast iron with steel wool and household oil. Everything in the box belongs together except for the two tins. Small blue tin contains square shoe nails and the larger rectangular tin contains small wood nails( The large cast iron stand that hold the shoe mold is damaged at the base. Stand is marked Cauldwell Pat Dec 1878. Smaller stand is only marked"Mfg. in U.S.A. One of the four wooden shoe forms has a metal base. There are three cast iron shoe forms measuring 5 1/2. 6 1/2, and 7 1/2 inches. Largest is marked with a"C" Many cobbler tools. Some damaged. Box is missing a trim piece on the bottom left side. Right handle is missing and left handle is missing a nut to hold it tight. Box is well made and despite its wear, looks pretty cool. Box ... moremeasure 24" by 13" by 9 1/2" high. The store display is very unique. Very well made and features a plastic shield that you can open and close that displays the drill bits. There are a total of 120 of the bits still on the display shelves and more inside of the back compartment. The display measures 12 1/2 inches tall.
