Virginia Metalcrafters Mahogany Tray w/Square Decanters, Silver tags, all mint
Hello. This is a wonderful set manufactured by Virginia Metalcrafters. Which we bought from a boutique store in Virginia about 20 years ago. All the parts are here. All are in mint condition. This set has been displayed in our living room, often behind glass in smoke free home. The Virginia Metalcrafters company was famous for making the highest quality reproductions of Colonial Williamsburg. The company stopped production in 2005. The mahogany try measures 9 and 1/2 inch by 16 and 1/4 inches. Tray looks mint per the photos posted here. The Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Metalcrafters logo is in the center of the tray. On the back per the photo posted here. The two Square Decanters were also sold by Virginia Metalcrafters. And I understand these are hand blown glass, measuring about 6" x 6" The two decanters make a wonderful ... moredisplay when placed upon the mahogany tray. On each of the bottles. Is a sterling tag with one saying"BOURBON" and the second saying"GIN" Each tag is stamped Steiff Sterling, and the Williamsburg logo is stamped into the silver showing it's an authentic Colonial Williamsburg reproduction. I will not split the set up; this set will only sell as one complete package. This will require great packing. Lots of bubble wrap, floating inside peanuts, in sturdy boxes. Altman& Co. many years ago and was part of their Virginia Metalcrafters/Colonial Williamsburg Collection. This high-quality reproduction features a pierced and mitered rim with carved hand holes. It measures approximately 16 1/4 inches x 9 1/4 inches and is in remarkably nice condition considering its age. MADE OF SOLID MAHOGANY WITH A MARQUETRY INLAY OF A THE GREAT AMERICAN EAGLE IN THE CENTER. MADE OF ONE PIECE OF MAHOGANY THE INLAY APPEARS TO BE MADE OF SEVERAL WOOD SPECIES. MEASURES 12" BY 8 1/2" IT'S A GORGEOUS TRAY AND WELL MAKED WITH ONE LONG SCRATCH AND SOME MINOR AGE CRACKLING. RARE COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG MAHOGANY AP120 GALLERY TRAY VIRGINIA METALCRAFTERS
Description You are bidding on this Rare AP 120 Gallery Tray Hand made in Williamsburg ~ Circa 1955-60. This AP120 Williamsburg Gallery Serving Tray. Which is a beautiful reproduction of an English antique serving tray, circa 1770, is made of mahogany and features pierced and mitered rim with carved hand holes. Perfect for a variety of uses, this tray can be used to serve drinks, hold two CW6 decanters or as an"in and out" box at a desk. Over the years, this tray has been made by a number of Colonial Williamsburg licensees including: The Five Forks; Don Works; Victorius; and Virginia Metalcrafters. This Beautiful Tray has hand cut dovetail construction and gorgeous graining found in old mahogany. The Gallery Tray measures 16 1/2" long x 9 1/2" wide and is in Excellent Condition with no Chips. Cracks, Repairs, Water Marks, ... moreetc. It has a few light scratches but does not look like this was used often, if at all. Has Several Marks on the bottom including the Williamsburg Restoration mark and the Virginia Metalcrafters Mark. Would make a great Addition to any collection! BUT SOMETIMES THEY PROIDUCED THESE FOR SALE AT THE PRENTIS STORE ON DUKE OF LOUCESTER STREET. BEAUTIFUL GRAINING FOUND IN OLD GROWTH BRAZILIAN MAHOGANY. HAND CUT DOVETAIL CONSTRUCTION.
