For auction is one vintage 2-tier Steelcase lawyers bookcase. It features two identical sections with retractable glass doors and the top cap with the Steelcase logo. But does not have a base. A base would need to be made for it, but even a simple, rectangular wood base(painted or stained) would do. It would also be ideal for adding sections to an existing stack. It is painted a silvery gray color and has light marks and scratches common to age and use. Here. For your consideration, is an awesome vintage metal bookcase. Has Spanish style detail with"wrought iron" finials and sides. It is plastic. The shelves are adjustable The finials are pressed into the top as are the side panels. All pieces are in great condition with the exception of one tab on one panel that has broken off. But doesn't affect how it sits. As you can see this is in very good condition needing mainly a cleanup. The last picture shows a piece of weather stripping that was on the bottom shelf. The top 2 shelves measure 9 1/2" deep and the bottom 3 are 15 1/2" deep Its actually in very good shape! Does have some minor scratches from age and use and a little rust on one of the back rails inside some of the screw holes. You can adjust the shelves too. This auction is for a neat vintage and very well made Mahogany Open Bookcase or Bookshelves from England. The look of the unit to me looks kinda like Art Deco but also looks kinda like a Mid Centrury Modern piece. So YOU be the Judge. This I can say, it's a very well made piece and in good overall condition. It has Solid Mahogany sides, shelves and back-splash, only the back panel is a veneer. It hasn't any burn marks, water marks(circles) on the shelves. It has some very pretty Mahogany wood grains showing on both the shelves and sides. You can store a lot of books and display many items on the shelves. Overall it's 30" wide. 9" deep at it's feet and 35" tall. All of the shelves are"fixed" in place and do not adjust and each one is 29 3/4" Starting at the top shelf and counting down, the depths ... moreof the shelves are 5 3/8" 7 3/8" 8 1/8" and 8 1/8" The heights or distance bewteen the shelves are 8 1/8" 9" and 10 3/8" The top shelf has a 2 3/4" back-splash around it. It has some blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) to the shelves and sides as well as some nicks. Dings and scratches but it's overall good condition without any rot or worm damage and ready to set out and use and enjoy. Please Read the Terms for Payment. Awesome bookcase/shelf for any room in your home. Awesome shelf- you will not be sorry to buy this! The sides are solid wood. The shelves are veneered and it is all beautiful. They've made recent reproductions of this shelf but I believe this is one of the good old originals. It is very well made and in very good condition. Some minor scuffs here and there but nothing serious. Overall measurement is: 27-3/4" wide by 28-3/4" tall. Shelves are 12-1/2" deep and so are the sides. The bookcase folds away as you can see in the picture- when folded it is 2-1/4" thick. Weighs about 25 lbs. unpacked. Great for an office. Sewing room or guest room.
