French Directoire Style Antique'd Cherry Bookcase Brass Mounted. Late 20th Century Item# 130005FNP20 This beautiful little decorative piece is easily implemented into the decor of any fine home. Crafted with significant influence from the French Directoire period. Implementing an austerity of form with lavish brass mounts, the design is as successful today in this reproduction as it was originally. The solid cherry shelves are graduated, each flanked by turned columns on the right and left, these footed and capped with brass fittings beneath a brass finial. The top shelf is edged with a pierced brass gallery. The entire form rests over bracket feet. An outstanding selection for any formal office or library. This is a wonderful little bookcase for anyone requiring a taste of Neoclassicism in their decor.
