This auction is for a neat vintage Bookcase- Bookshelf with Magazine- Newspaper storage on top from England. This is a cute item that would go in most rooms and most all types of decor. It has a Jacobean look to it with the Jacobean"dots" on the front of the storage area. It's well made. Still structurely sound and ready to set out and use as soon as it's un-packed. The type of wood it's made out of is a mystery to me. I thought it was mahogany, then I thought is was a type of Popular, but I can say this for sure, it's not oka or walnut. It has some nice wood grains on the side boards as you can tell in the pictures. It would add interest& charm to your den, family room or kitchen area. It has ample storage- display area for it's small size. In the family room, it would be nice for your book and magazine ... morestorage. It the kitchen, you could store your cook-books and also use it for a spice/jelly rack or display vintage kitchen items on the shelves. It would be a wonderful item for your bathroom for"reading material" as well a neat place to store your toiletries on. It cam from England and I would guess it's over 50 years old if not a lot older. Overall it's 16" wide. 6 1/2" deep on the sides and 36" tall. All of the shelves are"fixed" in place and do not adjust and each one is 15" wide. Each shelves are 6 7/8" deep. The distance between the top and second shelf is 7 1/2" and it's 9 1/2" between the second shelf and the bottom shelf. The magazine- newspaper storage area is also 15" wide. It's divided into two compartments. The front compartment is 2 3/4" X 15" wide and about 7 1/2" deep at the front. The back compartment is 3 1/4" X 15" and is about 10 3/4" deep at the front. It has a medium dark oak patina to it. It has some blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) to the shelves and sides as well as some nicks. Offered is a Beautiful Tell City Andover Finish#3282 Solid Maple Magazine Rack Cradle. It measures 12 inches tall. 26 inches long and 15 1/2 inches deep. This beautiful cradle is in very good condition. The construction has dovetailed solid maple pieces to form the curved cradle and the end pieces are doweled-the maple is 3/4 inch thick. There are beautiful cutouts on each end. The paper label is on the bottom that identifies the Tell City pattern. There are a couple of small rub marks that I have shown in the pictures. DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is this VINTAGE REMINGTON RAND AUTHENTIC 6 TIER LIBRARY MAGAZINE RACK IN GOOD VINTAGE SHAPE. It kind of has a mid-century vibe to it. This magazine rack came right out of our local library and is great condition. It would be a great way to display your magazines. Books and whatever else would fit. This thing is heavy and sturdy, so I'm offering it as local pick up only. CONDITION: Some scuffs. Scrapes and dings, but nothing major. There are also some random paint markings. Some from where it was up against the wall I'm sure. There is a spot on the front where it looks like the stain dripped a bit. The tops of each side have some damage and a few of the slat panels have come unglued. They are not broken and you wouldn't even notice they were loose unless you pushed on them. MEASUREMENTS: 36" wide ... morex 41" tall at the back x 16" deep at the bottom. Five slots measure 12" deep and one measures 14" deep. Vintage Butler Mahogany Wood Style #700 Magazine Rack Holder
A few minor scuffs/scratches as to be expected due to age. Wood is split on the left side of the 3rd picture. But does not affect use. At the widest/tallest points it measures as follows: length 15 inches. Width 8 inches, height 15 inches. All my items come from a smoke-free home. I do however have two kitties and as hard as I try. The picture showing the front and one of the engraved ends is light. The true color is represented well in the other pictures. Please look at all pictures as they are a good representation of the quality. There is a raw patch on the bottom center of one side and some minor scratches- all of which are pictured. The feet are in very good vintage condition as well. Vintage Wooden Magazine Book Newspaper Rack Divided w/ Handle 16" "NICE"
Wooden magazine rack divided with handle in the middle. Very sturdy. Solid and well made stained thick pine wood. Has 4 plastic floor protectors on the legs. The dimensions are as follows: 16" x 12" x 18 1/4" tall at highest point. The middle dimensions that hold the magazines are 14 1/2" x 5" x 12" tall each of the 2 sides. This is a heavy almost 9 pounds by itself which explains the shipping weight and cost. Very nice condition.
