$375.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Scranton, United States This 2 section barrister bookcase has been refinished on the outside maybe 20 years ago and painted on the inside and on the back in a blue/grey sort ... moreof color. Probably done at the same time as the finish. The spots that might have revealed the maker name have paint on them so I am selling it as maker unknown. In addition to the 2 sections, it comes with the original top or crown, and a base with drawer. It also features metal side straps between each section and the scissor mechanism for the doors. No problems with the 2 glass doors. In fact, I see no problems at all. With the square straight legs it is very mission looking and being from about 100 years ago, I think we can safely call it authentic mission furniture in every way except the finish, although a lot of mission furniture WAS this color when it was new. The joints are all tight and all sections lock together easily and correctly. While only a 2 stack, it is a big 2 stack with each section able to take books as much as 13 1/2 inches tall. The over all measurement are 34 inches wide as most of these are, and with base and crown a total of 45 inches tall. It is a full 14 inches deep from knobs to back. I am listing this as local pick up only. BUT there are shipping/delivery options for you to chose from. RI delivery is $50 MA or CT. $100 If you are beyond those states. I would still deliver to most of the rest of New England, all of NJ, parts of PA that are East of Harrisburg and parts of NY that are East of Binghamton for $200. The fabric is not torn but there are spotted stains on the middle shelf and on the back- They are a bit lighter than they appear in the picture. I have not tried to clean them. Medicine Cabinet has a beveled edge mirror front with rounded top. There is a knob/handle on the left side and razor blade slot on interior. Clear Glass shelves have rounded front edges. There is a metal rack on inside of cabinet that allows for adjustable shelves. Light covers have a textured finish almost like leaves. Medicine cabinet has a metal plaque featuring company name on the inside of the door. Cabinet alone weight almost 17 pounds. This comes out of a house built in 1916. Of course. The box measures 7 inches or 18 cm across. The box is a 6 sided hexagon shape. T he box itself is made of thick clear bevelled glass panels set in a fancy brass frame standing on brass feet. What makes this box special is that each of the 6 side panels and the hexagon shaped top are all deeply engraved with rose buds. Stems and leaves. All this engraving is on the inside of the glass. Quite beautiful. The lid opens on a hinge and brass catch. The inside has a red velvet cushion. The box is in excellent condition with no chips to the glass panels. An unusual pin cushion with combined mirror. A suspension ring would be needed to go through the hole at the top if required to attach to a chatelaine. Marked Thornhills London The pins are inserted into the gap around the edge and the central panel pushes downwards to push the pins out. the condition is good. The bevelled glass mirror just a little darkened around the edge. I have found a link to this with an image of an 1883 Thornhills Christmas catalogue showing these sprung pincushions with mirror. Up for auction is an antique lantern with 3 panes of bevelled glass. The lantern measures approx 9 inches to the top of the handle. The lantern has a great patina and look to it. The lamp portion of the lantern slides out for refilling. There is a small piece which unscrews to add the oil. The lamp has 1925 stamped in the area of the wick. The lamp looks like it would still function if oil was added to it. The reservoir looks intact with no holes etc. The lamp has not been tested, will be sold as is. I am not sure if there was a rear cover or door to this item, it is now open, with three panes of glass, no rear cover or door. There is a very small chip out of the bottom portion of one of the pieces of bevelled glass, just on the outer portion, does not go through. A very nice antique lantern for your collection. The beads are graduated with the largest beads at the front being approx 1/2" across. The thread is knotted between each bead. The necklace is approx 38" long and closes with a bolt ring clasp. Great vintage condition with just few insignificant nibbles on the edges and a small chip on the corner of the large bead commensurate with age and wear. The front glass is bevelled on the sides. The metal case has 2 thin pillars on each side and 4 metal feet. There is a nice metal decoration on top that I was not sure if it was metal or Cloisone. Hi there. This is an antique bathroom medicine cabinet. It is in good condition with normal wear and patina. It was painted with a brush in Pistachio green many. Many years ago. It has the thick and heavy bevelled glass mirror that is in excellent condition. This cabinet has a very neat and unique latch that requires pushing the button down with your thumb to open. This latch works excellent as well. This cabinet has a few naturally occurring cracks in the wooden back board. This is no big deal and could be left as is or could easy be replaced if desired. The hinges are solid and work smoothly. The shelves are very sturdy and intact. This is a very nice distinctive medicine cabinet with natural patina. It hasn't been touched for at least 60 years. Potts & Sons Drop Dial British Era Railway Fusee Clock Cast Bezel Bevelled Glass
Up for bid is a Single fusee drop dial rare Railway wall clock of British Indian Railway vintage. The maker is Potts& Sons. Leed, serial no 156 and of 1926. The movement is stamped by this name Wm P. Potts& Sons Ltd. with serial number 156 above and year 1926 below. During the British times, most of Provincial Railway clocks were sourced from England and were Fusee clocks with main being John Walker, Elliott, Potts& Sons. Slowly, due to manpower requirement and scarcity of parts these were phased out. This one seems to be one of those rare clocks which has surprived the onslaughts of'expenditure control' measures and has been fully cleaned and serviced. However, pendulum was damaged and the same was sought to be repaired. You can see it in the picture. Dial is in wonderfully preserved part with something within the box ... morebeing unreadable. But EIR 1992 is there which stands for East Indian Railway and 1992 is probably some stock number as EIR ceased to exist in 1950s. Thus it is a piece of history of British Indian Railway. Movement has been fully cleaned and serviced and is in full working condition as can be seen in the video. Case. Dial, movement, fusee chain, glass as well as cast brass bezel are all original. Movement starts ticking the at the slightest nudge. If you want, I can attach a video to dispel your notion regarding its working. Wooden body was also polished. And dial has NOT been touched atall! There is almost no damage to the body. Photos have been given extensively. Please check for your satisfaction. Whatever can be seen stands described. Some work would have to be done with the pendulum. Diameter of the dial is approx 12 inches and diameter including the wooden case is approx 15 inches. If exact dimensions are needed.
