2- 1930s Motorized costal/harbor tanker portholes from sunken boat in NY harbor
2-Antique Porthole I Have 2- 3 dog porthole's from a 1930's Stentonbush Motorized Coastal/Harbor Tanker Built by Ira S. Bushy and Sons in Brooklyn NY. servicing New York Harbor. This boat caught fire and exploded while taking on bulk fuel cargo at the Phillips Terminal in Carteret, NJ. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the boat. The outer Iron Flange is 18" diameter and the bronze glass ring is 14" diameter. Porthole depth to the top of the dogs is 5" The Portholes were sandblasted to remove many coats of paint. There is no glass this is due to the explosion and fire but the frames are flat and true with no warping. There is slight rust seen on the flange and gasket groove. Examine the photos. The 3 dogs thread easily to open and close the glass ring one dog is slightly bent. These portholes make great nautical ... moretheme Pieces for restaurants. This is die cast replica of a horse drawn gas tanker put out by Days Gone and Chevron made in England. I have included pictures of all the text on the box but there is not a date of release that I can see. Th is figure has never been removed from the box. And I did not want to do so to measure the exact dimensions but it is model train scale, roughly 4" long by 1 1/2" high. Helmet is faded out to a dark grey color from the Iraqi sun and has a small frayed spot on brow pad. Most of the paint has worn off the metal sides of switch box. Goggle lenses are scratched from desert usage but are undamaged. I bought the helmet in a Houston-area surplus store back in the early 1990s. And the store owner said he got it off a Marine who had picked it up on ... morethe Highway of Death leading north out of Kuwait City. Here is some historical highlights concerning this very special ship: Its original name was UST Atlantic and at the time was the largest tanker in the world. It had a sister ship called the UST Pacific. It was built in the US at Newport News shipyard by the Newport News Shipbuilding& Dry Dock Company. Its gross tonnage was set at 189,417 tons and its LOA was 362.14/348.40. Its original owner was the US Trust Company of New York City. It had a beam of 69.49' Its could operate at 15.9 knots and it drafted 28.96' It was powered by General electric steam turbines generating 33100 KW. ... moreIts original ID Number was 7417458 in 1979. It was officially launched on 14OCT78 and was OFFICIALLY COMPLETED ON FEBRUARY 3, 1979 THE DATE OF THESE GLASSES. At some point, I think 1994, the ship was sold to the Marine Atlantic Company and was finally scrapped at the Chittagong, Bangladesh shipyard in 2004. If you look online you will discover a lot more of very interesting information about this remarkable maritime vessel. The four glasses we have are etched with an excellent depiction of the famous ship and have the date February 3. 1979 which is the official date of the completion of the ship when it went into use. The etched ship in the glass has the raised relief texture and the detail is really amazing, the artwork matches the intricate detail you can find on the actual pictures of the vessel. They have nice, heavy thick bases and are made of a good quality glass, it is crystal clear and may actually be crystal, it is very difficult to tell. We don't know if these glasses were actually aboard the ship but we assume they were, it is difficult to think of another use. After lots of research, we have learned that artifacts from this ship are difficult to find, we could not

The seller is offering a very rare original Kodachrome slide of the Greek-flag tanker CONQUEROR COLOTRONIS as shown while in South African waters in 1972. Built in 1956 as the Norwegian-owned Leif Hoegh tanker HOEGH FALCON. She was sold in 1968 to Marvenusto Cia Naviera S.A. who renamed her CONQUEROR COLOTRONIS as depicted on the present slide. She was broken up at Kaohsiung in 1976. This remarkable sharp sunny view was taken from shoreside with a 35mm SLR camera using a high quality 50mm standard lens. I can attest that this slide is devoid of marks, scratches and blemishes as well as to its high quality, much better than this low resolution scan. ERTL 1939 Dodge Airflow Sinclair Gasoline Tanker Diecast Bank, VG Condition
This is a very nice ERTL diecast bank model of a 1939 Dodge Dodge Airflow Sinclair gasoline tanker. The wording on both doors says Sinclair HC Gasoline. While the wording on the back end says Sinclair Super Flame Oils. I bought this new several years ago, and have had it in my curio cabinet ever since. The model is in near-mint condition. The only thing on it that's not perfect is that there's a tiny dot of a paint chip on the right side of the top about two-thirds of the way back(see photos for close-up) It was like this when I got it. I no longer have the box this model came in. This diecast is a bank, so there's a slot on the top side of the model and a small removable door with a locking key on the bottom side. The serial number on the bottom is 2604. I'm not sure of the exact scale of this model, but it measures 8 1/2 ... moreinches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches tall. Please note that the actual shade of green of this model is slightly darker than what it looks like in most of the photos. It's closest to the green in the picture of the back end of the model. Lot Of 3 Mid Century Tanker Desks...Goldmine!
NOTE: Pictures show 4 desks.1 has been sold. What's left is 3 desks; 2 wood laminate top and 1 white top. The white top desk has the privacy panel. The others do not. One of the wood laminate tops has a stuck pull out writing tray on left side which would be an easy fix, I just haven't had time. NO KEYS FOR ANY DESKS. Here we have 3 great examples of the highly sought after tanker desk. These desks are indestructible and made of steel from top to bottom. These desks are in great condition considering the age, with typical scuffs and scratches but no dents. One of the wood laminate tops raises up about 1/8"1/4" when you pull on it as though there may be a screw or two missing. This is not noticed unless you are pulling up on the top while trying to move the desk. The laminate itself is in excellent condition. The white desk ... moretop seems to be some kind of hard plastic. I don't know if this is original but the white smooth top is heavy duty and very cool. If this lot doesn't sell I am going to keep it for myself. Use these desks as is and you will not be disappointed.
