Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Original Oak Arts& Crafts/ Mission Barrister Stacking Lawyer Bookcase Top by Macey(like Globe. Ogee, etc. This is an original Macey bookcase top. This is from the quartersawn oak models(many of them had claw-footed bases and vertical veneer drawers) Very hard to find item. As you can see in photos. The label has worn off some, but you can still make out the Macey name. I am not sure what letter size this is, but the dimensions seem to correspond with size D. Overall measures approx: 34" long x 15" deep x 3 2/16" high Underside frame that fits onto the case measures approx: 34" long x 14" deep As shown in photos. This is in used condition and shows wear. The front profile looks very good for its age and should blend very well with well kept bookcases. The top veneer shows more wear than the front with discoloration, ... morenicks and scratches and some splits, but if this is an issue, you could rejuvenate it with stain and oil/ shellac/ polyurethane. If you want a uniform look, you could lightly sand the entire surface and then add stain, plus sealant. However, because this is the top of a bookshelf you will likely rest items on it to cover imperfections, or it will be so high up that no one will see it. The rest of the top looks to be in normal used condition for its age. Circa 1960 Oak Fielded panels Locking doors Fixed shelves Plinth base Excellent condition, This antique bookcase would be a great piece in a dining room or office. It has ample storage for a large amount of china. Books, or other nick knacks and a really good look to it. This piece was made in Holland sometime around 1960 and remains in great condition today. It has very little wear and all doors function perfectly. The wood is a really nice selection of oak with a medium color to it. All of the doors except the middle two are made ... morewith fielded panels. The sides are as well. Fielded panels have a much more elegant look thank regular paneling. The middle two doors are made of individual glass panels allowing you some display space. Inside the wooden shelves are fixed(not adjustable) and have a shelf depth of 12″ in the middle and 10″ on the sides. The doors do lock with included keys. Just below the glass doors is a pull out slide. There are quite a few small details that all come together to make this antique bookcase a really fine piece. The shelves have plate grooves in them for displaying plates upright. The top is adorned with a moulded cornice and the base is a solid plinth base. The breakfront shape of the middle is also quite attractive. The bookcase does come in two parts(top and bottom) for transporting. Check out our other furniture items on auction now. Up for auction is this marked Globe-Wernicke oak lawyers three section bookcase. Marked made in Cincinnati; Pattern 711 and grade 122 1/2. These pieces came from a lawyers in Columbus Ga. The following are the flaws: each section has two approx. 1/4" holes drilled in the back( to hold the bookcase to the wall) The left side of the top section has a small hole in it. Probably to bolt the cases together. The left side bottom section has some paint on it that was probably left when a painter. Painting the wall slipped up. These have not been refinished to our knowledge. All three pieces have the paper Globe-Wernicke label. This item is for local pickup only. Item must be picked up within 14 days of end of auction. This auction is for a Stickley Mission Oak Double Door Bookcase with glass doors. It is from Stickely’s Arts and Crafts collection. Item Number: 89-645 Full Length: 52 ¾ inches Full Width: 12 inches Height: 55 ¼ inches Interior: The bookshelves measure 10 ¼ x 46 ½ inches. There is one fixed and two adjustable shelves. Condition: There is a small dark spot(about ½ inch in diameter) on the top about 18 inches from the right side. It is smooth and flush to the surface. Since I had display items on the top. I never really noticed it. Otherwise. It is in excellent but not perfect shape as it’s been used for about 15 years. I love this piece but I recently moved to a new home and it just doesn’t fit.
