Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. For auction is one vintage 2-tier Steelcase lawyers bookcase. It features two identical sections with retractable glass doors and the top cap with the Steelcase logo. But does not have a base. A base would need to be made for it, but even a simple, rectangular wood base(painted or stained) would do. It would also be ideal for adding sections to an existing stack. It is painted a silvery gray color and has light marks and scratches common to age and use. The bookcase is in fairly good condition although the top section is missing its glass. Without the glass the door frame has some flex to it. But will be solid once the glass is replaced. It measures 51-1/4” high. 33” wide and 13-1/4” deep. The inside sections measure 10” high. 12-1/8” deep and 31” wide. The bottom section is a little taller than the other two and measures 12-1/4” high inside. Replacement Oak Arts & Crafts Barrister Stacking Lawyer Bookcase Top Macey Globe
Original Oak Arts& Crafts/ Mission Barrister Stacking Lawyer Bookcase Top by Macey(like Globe. Ogee, etc. This is an original Macey bookcase top. This is from the quartersawn oak models(many of them had claw-footed bases and vertical veneer drawers) Very hard to find item. As you can see in photos. The label has worn off some, but you can still make out the Macey name. I am not sure what letter size this is, but the dimensions seem to correspond with size D. Overall measures approx: 34" long x 15" deep x 3 2/16" high Underside frame that fits onto the case measures approx: 34" long x 14" deep As shown in photos. This is in used condition and shows wear. The front profile looks very good for its age and should blend very well with well kept bookcases. The top veneer shows more wear than the front with discoloration, ... morenicks and scratches and some splits, but if this is an issue, you could rejuvenate it with stain and oil/ shellac/ polyurethane. If you want a uniform look, you could lightly sand the entire surface and then add stain, plus sealant. However, because this is the top of a bookshelf you will likely rest items on it to cover imperfections, or it will be so high up that no one will see it. The rest of the top looks to be in normal used condition for its age. Some nails have pushed out and may need to be gently hammered back in place(though I think I got all of them) Please examine close ups of all photos and ask all questions. Questions? Remember. 2 Restored Vintage GF Metal Lawyers Barrister Stacking Bookcase Glass Doors
Holy hotness! For sale is one of two fully-restored General Fireproofing 3-tier metal lawyers bookcases. Professionally painted in an RAL 3001 Signal Red catalyzed lacquer. Each bookcase has three identical sections with glass doors that flip up and slide back. The glass has been thoroughly cleaned and the original aluminum pulls have been polished. Each one also has a metal plug on the bottom section where a lock or something used to be. Each section is attached to the other with four small metal screws. While they have been professionally restored. One does have a couple of minor imperfections, namely two very shallow impressions on the very top; one of about and inch and a half wide near one end and another tiny 1/4" ding. I have photographed both. These absolutely stunning bookcases would look fantastic in any contemporary or vintage ... moreinterior needing a flash of intense color! For auction is one vintage Steelcase industrial metal stacking lawyers bookcase in very good original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color. It has been freshly and thoroughly cleaned and waxed. There are some minor scratches from use. And there are two small 1/16" dents on the top edge of one side, as well as some very fine rust around the metal frame of the lower glass flip-up door. The rusty areas has been polished and waxed and feel clean to the touch; the overall effect is more of a patina than of rust. The doors open and close smoothly. There is a small inventory number etched into the top left on the front of the cap. The units unstack easily and are held together by a lever lock on each side underneath, so it's easy to add more sections to as you find them. DIMENSIONS: 35.75" wide. 11.5" deep, 33.5" ... moretall.
