I've been looking on ebay, and this particular fan corner decoration was often used in the early tiles. It measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" and is in exceptional condition considering its age. You can see the mortar around some of the edges and all over the back. Which tells me that it was on a wall at some point, possibly a fireplace? I have another tile that I will be selling which depicts a winged angel riding a dolphin and it could be even earlier than this one. Dutch Delft Tile landscape windmill church antique circa 1700's- free shipping
Estate find: I am not an expert. But here is what I can tell you about the tile. Aprox 5.25" x 5.25" x 5/16" It has what looks like nail holes on at least two corners pre 1860? I but a needle into both and the needle went about 3/4 the way through the thickness of the tile. I assume mortar keeping it from going through. The tile is clearly hand painted blue glaze The clay is a beige yellowish color No crazing but some small what look like bubble defects(small) in the surface coating

It's unmarked but I believe it is Dutch DELFT pottery. The backside has has felt pads. Actually one has already fallen off since my photo so there are only 2 and they might come loose. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its exact age but believe it to be many decades old. Late 19th or early 20th century. There's some slight wear to one corner but this piece is hand crafted and isn't perfectly shaped. Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple jobs and can only ship one day a week. If you happen to purchase after I return from the post office on shipping ... moreday it will be a full week wait until I am able to ship again. But most people will have a much shorter wait and some will have very fast shipping. No one will have to wait more than 5 business days. Thank you for understanding.
