I have two of these tiles that were hand-painted by someone who definitely had to be a professional artist. The quality of the painting is just stunning. Unfortunately. They didn't sign their work! The tile has a mark on the back that is just a"G" within a laurel wreath and some numbers. This gorgeous flower looks kind of like a freesia to me. However, I'm no expert on flowers. A kind fellow eBayer emailed to say that they think ... moreit is most likely an oleander or rhododendron. I do recognize quality workmanship when I see it though! The edges of the tiles are glazed and there are four felt feet on the bottom to protect your table surfaces if you choose to use them as trivets. Please don't forget to see my sales for the other tile! A wonderful treasure you NEED to commandeer for yourself or your loved one! Item Condition: Minor wear to the edges. This lovely tile is otherwise in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or crazing. Offered for auction is this colorful Duran tile from Mallorca Spain. This is a vintage piece that is 7 3/4” by 7/4 by 3/8” thick. It has no cracks or repairs. There are two minute flea bite chips on two edges and some wear on one corner. The unglazed back has some light discoloration. The tile is marked as being a Duran piece from Mallorca Espana. The glazed design is bright white and yellow. And features a stylized map of Palma, sailing ships, a fish, and a compass.
