Hamilton Tile Fireplace Tile Panels
This is a lovely pair of Tile panels done by Hamilton Tile Co. Ohio. It would have been down the sides in a fireplace surround. It is of a Man and woman musicians dressed of the period. The glaze is a wonderful translucent brown glaze that is quite pretty. The over all condition is good however, it does has minor damage, please see all images. The bottom tile of the man has been broken and reglued. The top and middle tile of man I would call perfect condition. The Lady top tile is perfect, middle has chip on left bottom corner and the bottom tile had a chip that was reglued back on the top right corner. If these were to go back into a frame much of this would be very unnoticible. One tile is marked Hamilton on the back. These date from the 1890's. The measurements are 6" x 18"each. Beautiful, Very Rare Hamilton Ohio Tile, Playful Cherubs, Dog, 12 by 6 Inch
A beautiful and rare Hamilton Tile Works pottery tile with a playful scene of cherubs and a large dog. One cherub is riding the reluctant dog while two are pushing him from behind. And two are pulling him with a rope from the front, while a couple of others can barely be seen in the background. One who is pulling him looks to be a faun, with goat legs. The back says"Hamilton Tile Works Co. Hamilton Ohio. This fascinating tile is 12 inches long; 6 inches wide and about 5/8 inch thick. It has a few tiny flakes in the glaze- on the edge and on one cherub's lower leg and foot(see photos) The tile is from the late 1800s. Hamilton Tile Works was in business 1883-1901. Hamilton Tile Works. Hamilton, OH 1883-1901 This tile is between 113- 130 years old! It is very well preserved for its age and has a 3-dimensional design featuring grapes and leaves on a vine. Has glossy green glaze with crazing. It is not signed, but comes from the collection of Norman Karlson, an expert on American art tiles. Can be seen in his Encyclopedia of American Art Tiles, Region 3, page 85. Measures 6" x 6" x 3/4" thick. Great condition.

I have for auction a beautiful set of 15 blue Hamiliton Tile Works tile. These antique tiles most likely a former fire place surround are a blue that really is in between the first and second photo. It is a blue grey color. The tile measure 6 x 6 and there are 15. This is not complete but the tiles that are present can be used in a close to original pattern. There are three blanks and there rest feature a bird and vine motif. There are minor chips on all the tiles and some crazing. Please ask all questions before bidding on this item. Also. 7 HAMILTON, O. gothic style ceramic tile -- unique design!
These are salvaged antique tiles made by Hamilton O tile company(2 of the tiles are not hallmarked) They have a high relief gothic/ecclesiastical type design with a glossy finish. They are all brown in color but each tile varies in depth of color saturation. They are 4" X 4" and about 3/8" thick. Some tiles are a little thicker than others. You need at least 4 tiles to complete a panel set or you could use them separately to create your own pattern. Unfortunately I only have 7 pieces. If I come across another piece I will mail it to winning buyer at no extra charge. These tiles are in good condition with minor scuffs and a tiny nick on one tile. I have not seen Hamilton tiles with this design before so grab them while their here. happy bidding. Any questions please ask.

Lot 8 Majolica 6x6 Art Nouveau Floral Tiles Marked H A T Hamilton Art Tile? 1x
Your bid is for this lot of 8 Art Nouveau. Floral Pattern, Art Tiles. They measure 6" x 6" and are marked on the back with what appears to be a monogram using the letters H overlayed on an A with a crossbar on top of the A serving as the T. All inside of a diamond. I am unsure as to who used this mark. The tiles are in good condition with a few minor blemishes as can be seen when veiweing with the eBay picture close up magnifier. They also have normal some normal crazing evident. All of the green tiles are marked with an A24 while the burgundy are marked with an A14. I will try to get pictures of that on soon. One of the burgundy colored tiles has been broken and glued back together. Not a professional repair by any means. Victorian Encaustic Majolica Hamilton Fireplace Tile
Up for sale is a beautiful matching set of Victorian encaustic/majolica fireplace surround tiles and hearth tiles. These tile were salvaged from an 1892 Victorian mansion in St Louis. Each tile is signed on the back Hamilton for the Hamilton Tile Co in Ohio. There are 17 surround tiles measuring 6" x 6" and are in excellent condition. There are approx. 180 hearth tiles measuring 3" x 1.5" Additional hearth tiles include 9 tiles measuring 6" x 1.5" 10 2" x 6" decorated tiles, and 2 2" x 2" decorated tiles. The hearth tiles are not in as good of condition as the surround tiles. They show signs of wear with minor scratches and some small chips along the edges on some of the tiles. The decorated tiles show the most signs of wear as they were the closest to the edge of the hearth. All tiles retain ... moregrout from previous installation. All of these tiles were installed together along with a fantastic cherry mantel(see my other listings) It is very difficult to find a full matching set of surround and hearth tile together.
