I have no idea about its origins.but it reminds me a lot of the decorative Mexican Tile.from years gone by. It also reminds me.a lot.of the Italian Pottery.especially the artwork. The piece is filled with rich colors and design.similar to artwork found in the earlier part of the 1900's. I think that this is a much newer piece though. Wish I had a better idea.as to the true age. The tile is about 1/4 of an inch thick. It is the color of Sewer Tile.to the backside. The tile is glazed to the top.and measures a little less than 6 inches across. The surface to the top.actually looks very nice.with no crazing. For auction is one. Vintage Spanish style brick tile. This tile was purchased at an estate sale in a home that was built in the 1930's. The home was designed with some of the same tiles. This was part of the left over tiles. This tile measures 4 inches by 4 inches wide and is 1/2 inch thick. The back of the tile is stramped and numbered. Unfortunately I can not make out the stamped name of the maker. The tile is in good condition but does have one small thin chip on one side of edge of the tile. See pictures. Old Delft Style Blue & White Oval Tile in Frame - Young Boy and Girl in Forest
This is an absolutely stunning porcelain tile. It is in the blue and white Delft style. It is oval in shape and shows 2 children. A boy and a girl, leaning against a tree in the forest. The tile shows wonderful coloring and depth. It measures 10" tall and 8" wide. It is mounted in a gold colored frame. The frame is rectangular in shape and is made of decoratively carved wood. The tile is attached to the frame with h and made metal square nails. The frame is detailed with scrolls. Flowers and leaves and also has an oval opening. There is some cracking along the edge of the frame(see photos) and the frame probably needs to be cleaned, but overall, it is in wonderful condition. The frame measures 12.25" wide, 14.25" high and is 1.75" thick. It comes with what I believe is the original wire, and is ready to hang on your ... morewall. What a beautiful piece! Up for auction a very nice looking Mexican style red clay tile with a bird motif and corner motifs. This tile is very heavy and very thick. Unlike the more modern tiles of today. The glazing is very thick as well so it won't scratch or chip easily. You could frame this tile and hang it in your kitchen. These are salvaged antique tiles made by Hamilton O tile company(2 of the tiles are not hallmarked) They have a high relief gothic/ecclesiastical type design with a glossy finish. They are all brown in color but each tile varies in depth of color saturation. They are 4" X 4" and about 3/8" thick. Some tiles are a little thicker than others. You need at least 4 tiles to complete a panel set or you could use them separately to create your own pattern. Unfortunately I only have 7 pieces. If I come across another piece I will mail it to winning buyer at no extra charge. These tiles are in good condition with minor scuffs and a tiny nick on one tile. ANTIQUE SPANISH /MISSION STYLE HANDPAINTED TERRA COTTA /OLD BRICK? TILE
For auction is one vintage. Spanish style, tile, made in the U.S. This piece is very old about 80-100 years old. It is handpainted with colors of royal blue, brick red, grey white, and orange. It is stamped in the back by the maker. I can not make out who the maker is, but I believe that it was made in Southern California. I did purchase this item at an estate sale from an old Spanish style house that did have this tile through out the home. The tile measures, 4-1/8 inches by 4-1/8 inches wide and is 1/2 inch thick- no one makes 1/2 inch tiles anymore. There is a very small chip on one corner of the tile- please see picture.
