AET American Encaustic Tile Panel Herman Mueller
Fabulous antique tile by American Encaustic Tile Co. Zanesville, Oh. It is a great 18" panel done by Herman Mueller and signed HM in lower left corner, see image. It has been placed in metal frame and a long time ago painted Gold. I am sure this could be easily removed if so desired.I can not tell if the tile isglazed or unglazed. I can still see the surface of tile so that I know it is not covering any defects. I think someone just thought gold would make it look cool, otherwise in wonderful condition, please see image. Herman Mueller was renowned designer for American Encaustic Tile Co. He did some amazing tiles but you will not see them very often on the market place. B uyer prepays: Paypal is great. RARE Scenic Painted HERDING CATTLE AET CO American Encaustic Panel Tile Framed
ONE OF A KIND RARE HAND PAINTED"HERDING CATTLE" AMERICAN ENCAUSTIC TILE COMPANY FRAMED PANEL TILE C1890S R.H. MACEY PAPER LABEL ON BACKING I SHIP WORLDWIDE IMPORTANT BIDDING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION: IF YOU PLAN TO BID ON THIS ITEM AND ARE THE HIGH BIDDER I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ME UNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY INVOICE NOT THE INVOICE THAT IS GENERATED IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BY EBAY. Ebay now has rules that all sellers MUST ship items for which they have been paid within one business day without exception. Those who follow my sales and have bought from me over the years know that I have always had a policy of shipping within 24 hours of a sale(see my feedback) However, there are times when I am out of town unexpectedly for a house call, an auction or an estate call and it simply is not possible to get to ... morethe post office in time. Also, if you find that there is more than one item you are interested in bidding on over a given time period and would like to take advantage of combined shipping, please again, DO NOT pay me until the last of those items you're watching has finished. I will then send you an invoice with an adjusted shipping fee which saves on postage. I never charge a"handling fee" I would rather wait a few days on a payment and extend you the advantage of lower shipping fees than to be paid immediately- not ship- and then be scored negatively by eBay for not shipping soon enough. Offered in this sale is a fabulous scenic hand painted tile that was made by the American Encaustic Tile Company in the late 1800s. I acquired it mounted in what I am sure is its original frame which you can see in the first image. The tile was very dirty and in order to clean it and determine who it was made by I needed to take out some of the original nails in the back to remove it from its mounting. The back of the tile which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image is marked with what I believe is the company's earlier mark before they became a LTD corporation. The tile i
