The seat is 6 ¼” deep and the overall depth is 8 ½” The feet and arms are beautifully carved wood. Possibly mahogany. The seat. Back and arms are upholstered in a fine green silk fabric, which has been painted with green, cream and red stripes to demonstrate, in scale, the actual full size fabric pattern. This chair, along with a matching Chippendale camel-back sofa and another upholstered easy chair and Pembroke drop leaf table were purchased as a set at an antique show in Santa Monica in 1987. At that time they were said t be 64 years old. Putting them at circa 1923, though they may well be older. The dealer had purchased them in Rockport, Illinois as salesman samples. The construction and upholstery all indicates that they were in fact made as salesman samples and not as an apprentice piece or doll furniture. The mahogany is beautifully carved and finished and in good condition. The joints are tight with no wobbly bits or cracks. There is an old. Stable repair to the stretcher bar on the bottom of the chair. The painted silk is fragile and in rough. Shabby chic condition consistent with age. There is loss of paint. Splits in the fabric and some staining. Please study the photos with the zoom feature to see these issues. No attempt to repair or restore this piece has been made and it is in original condition. This piece is incredibly charming despite the vintage condition and displays beautifully. It is extremely rare to find miniature upholstered pieces of this age. As most have not survived the years. This elegant sample. With suberb attention to detail, is a lovely testament to the history of the traveling furniture salesman. NOTE This auction is for the upholstered armchair only. Pre 1850's Miniature Wooden Dresser measuring 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 10 1/4" ht dovetailed frame with hand cut rose head nail construction still in excellent near perfect condition. missing small front trim piece near the right leg. Top drawer has a nick on two corner edges and that's really it! Still has all the original knobs which appear to be made out of bone. Dresser is solid and when the drawers are removed the frame is still sturdy! Great example of an early primitive, folk art furniture piece that I'm sure the high bidder will be pleased with!

Up for bidding is This darling child's" dish cupboard" This wood cupboard is in the Eastlake style. Made in the late19th or early 20th century during the the victorian period. It is possibly a salesman sample but it's size suggest that it was a child's dish cabinet. It is unusual inthat it is so beautifully made with the ornamentation and shading of wood not usually found in children's toy furniture. It is in good original condition.Glass is not original. Vintage Salesman Sample Child's DARLING Meat Grinder
We are offering this vintage Darling salesman sample child's meat grinder. It works perfectly and is 5 3/8" long and appr. 3 1/2" wide. There is some rust from storage but most of it I was able to polish off with triple 000 steel wool. All the parts are intact and the handle turns perfectly and the grinder inside turns perfect;y. We do accept returns but if we have grossly misrepresented the item and the sticker that we place upon the item at them time of shipping must remain intacted and not be tampered or removed to receive a refund. Antique miniature Cabinet or Salesman sample country kitchen piece Look
This is a very unique and interesting miniature piece of furniture. It measures 41" tall and the bottom portion measures 22" wide and 9 3/4" deep. The top portion measures 20 1/2" wide and 8 1/4" deep. The upper portion has 2 cabinet doors. The bottom has two drawers and two cabinet doors and one latch is partailly broken off. The back has plank construction and there is wear in a number of areas on the piece but someone has put a different finish than the original one.It appears that some of the parts are made from some type of old crate. Old metal advertising bank in the shape of a Servel Electrolux gas refrigerator from the 1930's. This vintage still bank which might have been used as a salesman sample or advertising premium. It's cast in metal with its original white and black paint. The coin slot is on the top. Which is embossed"SERVEL ELECTROLUX" The trap is on the bottom, which can be removed with the two screws. The underside has the number"4019-9" with a scripted"S" inside a diamond. The refrigerator bank stands 4" tall by 1.75" by almost 2" and weighs 11 oz. The finish is worn in several places, but most of the original paint is intact. A really cool old promotional bank for the penny bank collector or Servel Electrolux fan.

It has superficial wear on the finish, and the mirror is gone, but no breaks, no replaced parts, and in sturdy condition. I believe this is a Barrows Lock Company lock and BL Co is marked on one side of the mortise box and the model number is hand written in yellow on the other side of the mortise box. This latch is marked 451 with this model having no dead bolt hub and model 551 also for sale has the dead bolt hub option. This latch is set up for a right hand door and is reversible. Latch face measures 1" x 7 1/8" Mortise box measures 3 5/8" deep. 5" tall and 5/8" thick. Uses a 1/4" split spindle. ANTIQUE-VINTAGE SALESMAN SAMPLE/TOY STOVE
This stove belonged to an aunt of mine who died some 20yrs ago in her 80's. I do not know if this was a toy of hers or a salesman sample. It is a Crescent stove. Has 15 pieces to it. I will admit it is dusty but am leaving the cleaning to its new owner. The stove is 6" x 4"x 4.75" to that one must had the shelves and the stovepipe. There are a coal shuttle, and shovel, a cauldron, a frying pan,a large pot. Each burner has a disc, and the stovepipe and grill work are seperate. Antique Dome Top Salesman Sample Steamer Trunk w/Casters
Vintage early dometop or humpback trunk. This trunk is small(15-1/2" long x 13" tall x 10-3/4" depth exterior front to back) It was found to be full of letters from the early 1900's. There is significant dust damage which has caused the metal parts to rust. The interior cardboard lift-out tray shows some loss. The small. Metal casters on bottom are intact. DATED ASBESTOS SAD IRON TRUE SALESMAN SAMPLE OR CHILD’S TOY This is an excellent condition Asbestos sad iron with the lever action lock and release. It is marked PAT. MAY 22-1900 on the top handle bracket and embossed ASBESTOS SAD IRON on the top of the iron. The iron is 4 inches long. 1-7/8 inches wide and 3-1/8 inches tall from the bottom of the sad iron to the shaped center top of the handle. It has a black painted wood handle on top. A black painted wood handle on the lever action and still retains all of the original asbestos lining the top cover. All of the black paint is original to the piece as is the silver paint on the sad iron. I have not cleaned or polished any of the parts or pieces. There are some minor age appropriate spots that the new owner can work with to their satisfaction. I always hesitate to call an item salesman’s ... moresample because of all of the items that are mistakenly called that. This leather bag is just spectacular with 42 small glass medicine vials with 5 vials with a Massengil Co label. These jars with zinc lids measure approx 4" tall at the tallest. Next to a table that h olds a Salesman Sample of a"Home Comfort" stove as identified by the metal plate on the front. There is also a small plate with the date of"1915" on it. The Miniature Stove is just Fabulous and the Dapper Salesman perched behind it give this card a Great Look.
