Fenton Silvercrest Beaded Melon Vase 4 inch Mini Circa late 1940's into very early 1950's'Silvercrest' is the longest running glassware line that Fenton made. It started in the late 1930s and continued into 1999 in one shape or form. This little 4" vase. However, is one of the harder to find items in the Silvercrest line for a vase. This vase was made 4 different crimped tops, one like is shown, the Triangle Tri crimped top shape. It was also made in a JITP(Jack in the Pulpit) top, and a square shaped. Again, so there is no confusion, this one is the Round-top crimp shaped. Made in the 1940's or early 1950's, is my guess. My sample is about 4-1/4 inches tall and about 2-3/8 inches across. There are no chips-cracks or repairs but please keep in mind that is is not new and has been used. Colonel Strong Vincent CDV Hero at Little Round Top
Offering for sale a carte de visite(CDV) of Colonel Strong Vincent of the 83rd Pennsylvania. Vincent while in command of his brigade(20th Maine. 44th New York, 16th Michigan, 83rd Pennsylvania) took responsibility for placing it on Little Round Top(Gettysburg) without direct orders from his superior. The brigade successfully held the position. Thereby, preventing the Confederates from gaining a hold on the Union's extreme left flank. Vincent was mortally wounded there. But promoted to Brigadier General before his death several days later. Regiments under Joshua Chamberlain and Patrick O'Rouke successfully joined in the action to repulse the Confederates. The CDV is in good condition. Bright and clear with normal wear and soil reflecting its age. It bears on its front and back the name of Dolph Brothers Photographers of Erie. Round Top Trunk- c.1870s(Sometimes called a Camel Back) This one is in good condition considering the age and has been restored on the exterior. Including new leather handles(pics 3& 5) It is a combination of metal and wood with small caster wheels on the bottom. The interior(pics 6& 7) has the original lining on the lid. But it does not have any lining on the bottom half of the trunk. Note also that the lift-out tray is missing and there are two screws visible on the left hand side(interior) where the hinge attaches to the trunk body(pic 6) The hinge repair is also evident in pic 4, which shows where a small repair hinge has been added. Up for sale is a very pretty vintage vase by Shawnee some time in the period 1937-61. The vase stands 4.25" high with a ruffled top and bulbous body. The piece has an unusual satin finish mauve color glaze with an off white drizzle glaze on top. There are no chips. Cracks or crazing on this vase, and it bears the Shawnee stamp on the base. Antique Small Round Foot Stool ~ Needlepoint Top ~ Cast Iron Legs ~ 1897-1900s
I am offering an antique small round Foot Stool with a Needlepoint top. It measures approx 10" in diameter and 7-1/4" tall. It is a wood base with four cast iron curved legs. The Needlepoint is an off brown color with what looks like a basket of flowers in center. The needlepoint is tight and all in really good shpe. With a a few loose threads, could snip off, but I have left as is and I am not sure how old Needlepoint is. Not sure if all is original, but now has what looks like painted gold around wood edge of stool, on the round balls under edge between each leg, and gold on the outside of the 4 legs, black inside. Around the approx 1" edge it is worn and has knicks, pictures will show. The tacks holding in the needlepoint are the original brown color.
