Civil War Images Taken on Battlefields This is a two sided print. You will only receive one print with a picture on either side. These are part of a collection of 7.000 Civil War pictures taken during the war. The collection is privately owned. These images were released in book form in the early 1900's in this first presentation from the collection. Mathew Brady was the first war photographer in America. He followed the Armies during the Civil War and secured these remarkable images. It is believed to be the first time that a camera was used so extensively on the battle-field. There is text on the side of the image with information about the picture. My scan cuts the edges off. But the actual page is complete. Item: This is a rare authentic print/ book plate that is over 105 years old. It is NOT a reproduction. Amazing Antique Round Top Trunk
We are offering an 1870’s. Round Top Trunk. The trunk measures, 30" length x 18" height and 15" width. This fabulous trunk is covered in Western Square Style paper. The inner lining is paper as well. The Wood Slats on the top of the trunk and front appear to be Oak. The bottom slats and construction wood appear to be poplar and the handles are wood as well. The lock latch looks to be hand forged. The nails are round/oval head square shaft. This is visible in the picture of the lid lock hardware, they were driven thru and clinched on the outside.
