The table appears to be in original condition. It doesn't look as if any of the tiles have been repaired, and the grout is all intact. Table diameter is 35 1/2" It stands 15" off the floor with the legs in the angled position. If legs were moved to the straight position, table would be a little taller. Legs are 13 3/4" long. This auction is for a near fine condition hard cover first edition copy of THE ATTACK AND DEFENSE OF LITTLE ROUND TOP by Oliver W. Norton of the 83rd Regiment P.V. I. It was published by the Neale Publishing Company of New York in 1913. It does not have a dust jacket. One of the most celebrated of the first hand accounts of the Civil War. This book by Oliver Willcox Norton of the 83rd PA regiment at Little round Top on July 2, 1863 tells the story of the saving of the position, the loss of Col. Strong Vincent, and the role of other units in this pivotal event of the entire Civil War. Written in later life, when he was blind, Norton inscribed this copy to his fellow soldier Sgt. Charles Himrod of the 83rd on January 30, 1913 in Chicago. The inscription appears to be in the handwriting of Mrs. Alice Judson Himrod and the signature in pencil ... moreis by the author. The book is 350 pages and comes from the library of the Himrod home on Walnut Street in Waterford, PA where it has remained for 100 years. The troops of the 20th Maine had been ordered to defend the left flank of the Federal line at Gettysburg"at all costs. Led by Colonel Joshua L. Chamberlain. A 35 year-old college professor and Christian theologian, the men from Maine had successfully repulsed repeated attacks by courageous Confederates from Alabama. Finally, exhausted and low on ammunition the valiant soldiers from Maine appeared near the breaking point. Antique Early New Haven Round Top Beehive Mantle Clock All Original
This is a great very early New Haven beehive clock. This clock is all original. Including the original reverse painted glass on the door. The case has a round top with veneer throughout, very little loss to the veneer on the clock as seen in the pictures. The dial is the original painted tin dial, but it could use a restoration. The clock has its original movement that pendulum, but it could probably use a cleaning to run properly. Please review all the pictures above for any information I may have missed in my description. Vintage Round Italian MARBLE Table Top Weighs over 50 lbs. ~ 29-1/2" Diameter ~ 7/8" Thick Up for your consideration is this Vintage Marble Table Top marked Italy on the bottom. The diameter measures 29-1/2" but I believe they call this a 30" table top. It was probably used on a plant stand or some type of table. The finish is flat or matte and it has signs of use over the years that gives it an aged patina look. It is in as found condition and I have not attempted to clean it. There are some rust colored marks as shown in the pictures. There is also some flaking here and there. The marks probably come from being exposed to water over the years. Beautiful Vintage Needlepoint Round Foot Stool with Parrot& Floral Top Quality Offered here is a very beautiful needlepoint foot stool. It pictures a parrot on the top with some flowers. It is a very pretty piece. It is in good shape with some wear to the needlepoint but nothing bad. It does have some wear to the fringe that surronds the piece. There is a little bit of discoloration on the top but that may be able to be cleaned off. You can see the discoloration in the pictures. You may want to replace the fringe as it has loss some of it's tassels. The top measures 15 1/2 inches in diameter and the stoll is very short measuring only 5 1/2 inches tall.
