Antique Royal Doulton Lambeth Hunting Scene Rare Dog Handle, Pitcher
This is a lovely fine English pitcher. From the 1800's with applied figures. Around the plumpest part of the belly are horses, hunting scenes and dogs. The deep red iron oxide glaze glows orangy brown on the yellow clay of the stoneware body, while it changes to a nice ochre where the dip covered the figural decoration. The rare handle is applied, and is a wonderfully formed hunting dog. Condition of this beautiful pitcher is good with one small chip on the lip. And firing lines where the spout is joined which is typical in the manufacture of these pieces. The mark is"Doulton Lambeth England" This lovely English pitcher measures about 6 3/4" tall and about 71/2" wide. Description Vintage Never Leak One Drop pocket oiler. This was used to oil clocks and other small devices. It has a mini little spoon attached to the inside of the lid. You would unscrew the lid from the oiler and then you would have a drop of oil in the little spoon. It has a seal around the lid to prevent leaking. HN WHITE #H4 Antique Hunting Horn silver mouthpiece Vintage instrument Shofar
This is a RARE 1918 Antique Hunting Horn(or shofar) with Mahogany& silver mouth piece. This instrument is in good vintage condition. But it used to have a leather sling strap, which was falling apart, and had to be removed some 20 years ago- there are a few pits in the horn. It is about 14" in length. With a hallmark on the silver mouthpiece that reads HN White Co. EARLY serial no. H-4.It was clearly designed with the mouthpiece originally, as the horn has been beautifully carved to fit! The dark portion of the horn has carved banding, the wood neck is probably mahogany, and the mouthpiece is silver plated, with a bit of plate loss on the rim. It still plays well, and quite loudly!

Antique/ vintage German fisherman's wool hat/ hiker's/ shooter's hat with braid band having two"acorn" tassels. There are 9 ornaments decorating the hat. You normally find these old hats with"city" or"mountain" badges when they belonged to hikers. Or hunting motifs if they belonged to hunters. it is very rare to find a fisherman's hiking hat with all these fishing motifs. Color is a nice olive green. this is a classic hat for outdoorsmen in the 1940s/ 1950s. Would also make a good gag gift for your obnoxious PETA member sister-in-law. Antique brass hunting horn! It measures about 11" across from the left edge of the bell to the right edge of the mouthpiece. Double-coil design. Inwards and back out again. Brass with a silver-toned ornate bell rim. It has one valve with lever, and a second open hole& bracket where the lever is missing. It has a crest on the bell with a dog and elk that says"Che Sara Sara" which means"what will be will be" Unfortunately it has some dents and dings as you can see. It has some wear to the finish. As well as a turquoise build-up of some kind(see pictures) I did not attempt to clean it, my knowledge of this type of item is basically nothing.I found this along with several other hunting horns at an estate sale. Antique Brass Pocket Hunting Horn 8" Double Coil Fox Hunt Bugle NO RESERVE!
Antique brass"pocket" hunting horn! It measures about 8" across from the left edge of the bell to the right edge of the mouthpiece. Double-coil design. Inwards and back out again. From what I've read it's a design based on a hunting horn made by a hunt master named Clewint from the 1700's. There are no markings to indicate the exact age or maker. It has some wear to the finish as seen. As well as a turquoise build-up of some kind(see pictures) I did not attempt to clean it, my knowledge of this type of item is basically nothing.I found this along with several other hunting horns at an estate sale. These are way out of my comfort zone, but I figured that I would take a chance, start the auctions low, and run them up the old flag pole! Before the Industrial Revolution. The production of cereal crops was too labor intensive to allow their use as animal feed. Foraging animals such as chicken and pigeons were kept but wild game was heavily depended upon for meat which was harvested in great hunts. As all game belonged to the nobility, these events combined work with sport. A primary tool of the hunt was the hunting sword which served variously to dispatch, dismember and in some instances, attack game. This sword with its stout diamond section blade is substantial enough to kill a bear or boar, occurrences which are well documented. A poem is inscribed at the base. The hilt is of hallmarked silver with full relief hunting hounds comprising the quillons and a stag head adorning the quillon block. Reticle German#1(you can see on last picture) Magnification 2.4 X Field of view 27.0 feet at 100 yards Luminosity 56 Eye relief 3.5 to 6 inches Length 10.25 inches Weight with mount 10.0 ounces Tube diameter 0.86 inch(22 mm) AJACK KARA SPECIAL has smaller diameter of the elevation knob than AJACK KLEIN what can tell us that this model is older and belong to 1912-1918(WWI) ... moreElevation adjustment has only 3 devisions– 0/50/100(m) Another different in the way the NAME“AJACK” was put on the scope– it was put on the top of the scope in angel and in unprintable words. The scope has two rubber sleeves(front& rear) The mount which is welded to the tube can be installed on the prismatic rail(0.62” +/15mm) I think that all details pointed that this is a military target scope. Antique German/Austrian Hunting Trousse, Knife/Fork Set, RARE And Collectible!!
This set is a rare find. This is an antique Austrian or German trousse- knife and fork set. With the leather case cover(scabbard) and is over 150 years old. This is a truly unique set and they don't come to auction often! The design of the handle is made of a specific animal horn found in the Black Forest and is secured by an intricately carved German silver. The fork is two pronged because in the 16th and 17th century. People would carry their own utensils with them as they traveled or hunted and the two prongs were best suited for stabbing at food and could act almost like a skewer as we know it today. Since people began carrying these on their person, most sought out ornate pieces and ones highly decorated and they quickly began to represent a status symbol for the carrier. As it gained popularity, the design of the fork began to change. ... moreHunters and nobles alike carried these! This set originally had a stamp identifying it that has been worn off. The stamp was added by the Germans around WWII to prevent these artifacts from being exported or smuggled out of the country since they were inventoried. The knife measures 8" long, the fork is 8" long to the top of the handle. The 3rd piece is a small skewer/sharpener over 6" long. This piece is thought to have been made anywhere from the mid 17century to late18th century. It would be impossible to date it closer without specific testing of the material. The condition is good for a piece this old! The blades show very minor signs of rusting and wear. The utensils are very well assembled and are very stable and set. There is what appears to be a mark on the blade of the knife. Similar items sell at auction houses and elsewhere for over $3.000! There are many pics available and we urge you to carefully review each pic and know what you are bidding on. Large Antique Aboriginal Boomerang Hand Hunting Club-Chip Stone Carved
Large Original Antique Aboriginal Non Returning Boomerang/Hand Hunting Club Due to the size and shape of this Boomerang it would suggest that it is from the men of the Inland Plains/Desert Regions. It also has a distinctive red hue from the remains of the red ochre it would have been decorated in as well as the carved patternation to the upper side, all consistent with aboriginal tools from this region. I have dated the piece in the 1850-1899 bracket but this item could be much older) These were an all in one tool. Used for cooking, digging, throwing, hunting as well as in rituals and ceremonies. Absolutely fantastic patternation to the upper side which shows a mass of carved striations. Really wonderful patina overall, real good visible marks of the stone/chip worked process that it took to make this piece, this can be seen to the underside ... moreand to where the boomerang would have been held(which fit's the hand perfectly) This is not the prettiest Antique boomerang you will see. And has definitely had real use, to me though the chip/stone worked finish, patina and patternation along with the roughness of this piece add to it's authenticity and charm, you really feel when you look and handle the item that it has real history behind it.
