Here is a nice old frog gig or fish spear in very good condition. The tines are 3" long and 3" at the widest point. Overall length is 5 1/8" The collar is 3/4" at the mouth. This frog gig is very well made. Strong. Thick tines and mounting shaft. The collar is one piece with no visible seam. This vintage frog gig is in very good condition. It is old and used. Featured in this auction is an antique men's pocket watch by the Hampden Watch Co. This watch is in a Dueber Silverine Hunter's Case. No. 63506. The Serial Number on the watch is 1995287. Which I believe dates it to 1905. The works are marked Dueber Watch Co. Canton, Ohio and is 15Jewels. Size 18S. Thc face and crystal appear to be original, but it is missing the second hand. A single leaping tiger& a man being attacked by what looks like 2 boars, each panel beaten& engraved in relief in fine detail, with scrolling cartouche borders. Between stylised foliate panels. please see pics. Wonderful rolled folded rims with fabulous handles. The spout of the jug is a beautiful shape& form& this is a good quality pair. please see pics. 19thc Antique British Parian Ware Creamer Hunting Scene Dogs Embossed Jug Small
This English parian creamer camer from an auction in Vermont. It's a wonderful little piece with a different hunter and his dog on either side. The creamer measures 3 1/8" high to the top of the spout and 3 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the handle. There are no chips or cracks. There are some rough spots and some spots that may have been made during the manufacturing process. If my research is correct. This parian ware pitcher dates to the 19th century.

Rare Antique American Folk Art Iron Fox Hunting Hound Weathervane Dog Form AAFA Description: Superb Antique Running Fox Hound Weathervane Having been in a private Connecticut collection for over thirty years. We are pleased to offer this wonderful example of blacksmith made American Folk Art. From its great patina, to the nice riveting. The profile as you can see is a running fox hound. Excellent attention to detail. The original maker wrought this piece with various pieces of metal, not sparing and details of the hound, including a punched out eye form, and even the tip of the dogs tongue. Great support bars and riveting to the body of the piece. Again. The enlargements help ... moreto showcase the original construction. Has multiple layers of paint present. The piece looks to have been originally a red with possibly some yellow areas(perhaps the remains of old lettering from the estate in which it was used) And later a darker brown. From exposure to the elements the paint has chipped in areas leaving a great patina, and truly wonderful old folk art character. Some slight areas of pitting from age. Weathering to the paint, but all in all a very good example of period folk art, and one that's sure to make a commanding presentation in any collection or decorum. Here we have a beautiful rare pair of German hunting cups/ beakers. They are made by WMF and are silver plated. Featuring a wolf and a stag in relief along with repeated art nouveau style trees The WMF marks on the bottom(see last photo) reveal the following information Ostrich in Beehive with letter G is for 1909 B- Britannia-metal. I/O- regular silver coating. OX- Oxidized. The oxidised stamp shows these would have been a mellow black with silver relief. The largest cup measure approx 9cm tall. OLD ANTIQUE U.S. MODEL 1880 ENTRENCHING HUNTING KNIFE & BRASS HOOK RIA SCABBARD
OLD ANTIQUE U.S. MODEL 1880 ENTRENCHING HUNTING KNIFE& BRASS HOOK RIA SCABBARD. Knife measures 13 1/2" overall with a 8 1/2" blade. The blade took a hit at one time as there is a large 5/8" nick area on the edge. Could probably be reprofiled to look better by someone that knew what they were doing. Otherwise the blade has some patina with a small area of pitting on one side. Wood handle has nicks/scuffs/chips on one side and on the butt(see photo close-up) Everything is tight and sturdy. The knife is in good condition overall as noted. On the scabbard. The flap with the brass hook has been torn off. It appears someone may have attempted a repair to it a one time. The main portion of the scabbard is in good condition with about a 2 1/2" area of the stitching apart on the side. Please view all of the attached twelve(12) ... morephotos carefully before bidding. Antique H.E. CAREY USA Civil War Hunting Knife Brass & Bronze Pommel - Weimar TX
This is an antique hunting knife that was purchased at an estate sale and belonged to Colonel Henry Earl Carey. Sr. who fought in the Civil War with the 8th Michigan Infantry. He fought at Antietam, Fredricksburg, Chantilly and Vicksburg and moved to Weimar, Texas in 1874. He served as mayor of Weimar from 1892-1894 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Odd Fellows, and the Knights of Honor. His Civil War memoirs were published in the Weimar Mercury on January 12, 1907. He was born in 1837 and passed away on March 10, 1913. The knife has a stacked leather handle and has a handle that is made of brass and bronze. The very end of the pommel is brass while the lower part of the pommel as well as the guard is bronze. The front of the guard is engraved. H.E. CAREY USA" The knife measures 10" long and blade is 5-3/4" The knife blade ... moreis in fair to good condition with rust and some pitting evident. The blade is still very sharp. The steel blade appears to be fused to the guard and handle. The knife is absolutely tight. The stacked leather handle has dried out and appears to have the remains of some sort of finish on it. Patina appears to be original and I see no signs of cleaning or restoration, only marks from sharpening. I do not know if the knife was actually used in the Civil War or just on the Texas frontier. It appears to be hand forged. The leather sheath is a newer 20th century and is in fair condition with some tears in the leather. We try to describe every item as accurately as possible; however. We do not know exactly how old it is but we do know it has been in the family since the late 1800's. We are guesstimating that it could be from as late as the 1860's. A Great Grandfather. That's hiding in the base of the tree stump. This has hand incised detailing which gives it character. This is marked L& C and has a"P" And is numbered 219. Antique, Super Rare! 1920s Hunting, Show, Dog Pet Carrier Automobile Trunk Mount
Here is a super rare offering! This is a pet carrier that would mount on the back luggage racks. Or maybe running boards, of early automobiles. It has screened vent holes on one side, and the back. The vent on the back side had a hinged door- cover that could be opened or closed. That piece was broken off, the remains are still there for a pattern. I think an aluminum plate on there would look correct! This 22-1/2" high unit measures 34" long by 14" at the base, the top tapers to 34" by 9" The hinged door is 20" by 26" When I was taking these photos, one of the door lock levers came off. It could be repaired, I've shown it in photo#9 along with the partial vent cover.

Up for sale is an extremely rare antique dirk knife which is in extremely good. Vintage condition. The knife measures a total of 14 ½ inches. Blade is approximately 7 ¾ inches. The handle is made out of an animal horn; however. I am unsure what type of animal it might be. The handle also has some sort of animal hair on it; however. Once again I am not sure of what type of animal it is. There is no makers stamp neither on the knife nor the blade. One side of the blade has a sketch of a person with a pointy hat with what seems to be long hair. The person seems to have their arms crossed. Also. The person seems to be wearing shoes that seem pointed. On the back of the knife. There is another BEAUTIFUL sketch of what appears to be maybe a tower of some sort, I really am not sure what it is, but that is what it looks like to me. The case also was designed to reflect the image of the person’s face when in the case. There is a small peep hole that perfectly lines up with the person’s face. This item was made by a Minnesota Company in 1946. That company is the National Sales Company that was located in Minneapolis Minnesota. They made a plastic fishing“hot spot” locator out of plastic called the LOCA-SCOPE. The device was supposed to bring the fisherman back to his favorite fishing hole by lining up on-shore fixtures. The Loca-Scope had a built-in compass. And, by taking a compass reading and writing down a spot on shore he fixed on, the fisherman would then turn 90 degrees in either direction and repeat the process. When he returned and positioned the boat with the two recorded shore fixtures and with the same compass readings. He supposedly was on his“hot spot. This item is in fantastic condition. Produced in England in the 19th century, most likely originally contained mustard, potted meat, or meat paste. The jar is made of thick terra cotta and is adorned with the transfer design of a boar hunt, a wonderful, very detailed image. It is unmarked, but identical to other terracotta and glazed Pratt Ware jars embellished with the same design. It’s the perfect size for a small bouquet or some twigs of bittersweet, to bring a touch of color to a desk or shelf. Dimensions: The jar is about 4” high. About 2-3/4” at its widest, about 2-1/4” across the base, and close to 2” across the top. It weighs nearly a pound. Condition: The transfer image is in very good condition. The bottom is unmarked. Vintage Duck Decoy N.C. 1800's Goose Hunting Fishing Antique Art
Very cool old Pintail that i believe to be from N.C. or Va. When i bought this the antique shop said it dates from the 1800-early-1900 Canvas over wire in-use repaint. Neck has crack from nail, canvas has shot hole in it, but all is in pretty good shape considering. I have seen these decoys Soda Blasted down to original and are awsome. I will let the buyer decide what to do with this one. I still have a lot of decoys. But no time to list them, so they will pop up here and there. An ebayer asked for pics of this one, so here it is. At the Bronx Zoo, the seabird colony built in 1995 to replace an aviary destroyed in a storm is named for him. An avid conservationist, he was an early and generous benefactor of the World Wildlife Fund and the National Audubon Society. Mr. Aitken represented a throwback to a time when famous people had time to relax together. In competition in the 1940's, he was best skeet shooter in the nation, and shot socially with Bernard Baruch and Clare Booth Luce. The society columns chronicled his expeditions, like his seven-month safari to Africa in 1947. In World War II Mr. Aitken served in the Army Air Force, teaching pursuit pilots and gunners to shoot. His uncanny marksmanship played a large part in his life after the war. He was an associate editor of Field& Stream from 1948 to 1952, and wrote more than 300 articles for it and other sporting publications. Mr. Aitken's sporting interests extended from buying a duck decoy in 1986 for $319,000, then a record, to building an elegant croquet court at Champ Soleil, his Versailles-style chateau in Newport. This is an antique RUBY Decanter that has been ETCHED or CUT-TO-CLEAR with a Lovely Country Scene featuring a Manor House or Lodge surrounded by trees and on the other side a STAG Deer- perhaps to imply a Hunting Scene. Has a"Bullet" shaped Stopper with ground glass base- some decorative scroll work etching and some pretty"curlicues" add to a lovely design aspect. Measures 14-1/2 inches tall WITH the stopper in place. Measures 11-1/4 inches tall with the stopper out. Beautifully designed. long and narrow shape. In excellent conditon with no nicks. Here for your consideration we have an antique museum quality African Berneo Dayak Parang Head Hunting sword. The swords case is in excellent condition with many animal hairs including monkey and many skins and bones(please see pictures) The hilt is made from Antler horn and the verdabrea is aligator. The blade shows much age but no rust and measures 18 1/2" long. 1 1/2" at widest point, and is dated between early 1800's to late 1800's. Shipping in North America 60.00.
