The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

Condition: Used Location: Wayland, United States For sale are a pair of original antique late 1800's Victorian armchairs. These pieces look to be carved walnut. But they also could be mahogany as ... moreI am not an expert on my wood types. Chairs were recovered and restored back in the 20's or 30's with the current needlepoint upholstery they have now. The upholstery is in nice shape and free of damage. Minor cleaning may be needed as they have sat in one spot unused for many years. Both chairs still sit nicely. And comfortably, with no noticeable wear to the seating. The backs of the chairs are faded(pictured) But since the pics were taken they have BEEN REFINISHED so they now look, and match with the rest of the chair. When looking really closely at the wood you can see a couple spots where the chairs were professionally repaired in the past. Currently the arms on the chairs are loose where they meet the back. The legs are all solid and sturdy with no cracks or breaks that I can find. The there are some minor bumps and knicks here and there on the wood, consistent with age, nothing too bad though, and nothing that couldn't be cleaned up/ refinished, if you felt it was needed. The front legs on both chairs have casters to easily move them about. Antique armchairs measure 26" wide. 23" deep, and 41" tall. I am selling these chairs for an older friend of mine. These chairs originally belonged to his mom who lived to be in her 100s. And he is now in his early 80s, so you can rest assured that these are not Post 1950's reproductions. This sale is for Local Pickup only, but I can deliver in the Seattle Metro area for an extra $30. This measures a total height of 80 in( 6 ft 8 in) A total width of 34 inches and a total depth at the deepest portion of 14 3/4 inches, and the approximate weight of this piece is 55 lbs. The top of this etagere offers a incised carved pediment that rests between an arch. With raised carved panels of walnut accenting each side. Below is the vintage replacement mirror that is in excellent condition and measures 29 in high by 16 inches wide. Finely turned walnut spindle posts with turned finials, flank the mirror and offer support for the display shelves on each side. Below the mirror is an additional carved display shelf that is supported by a pierced carving. The largest shelf rests below the mirror and boasts of feather walnut and offers a unique small storage drawer below with early hand-cut dovetailed joints, and an open carved small gallery at the back. Elegant out-swept carved legs support the larger shelf and the display shelf at the base with the front legs having pierced carvings at about midway.
