It's an excellent fascimile of an antique Art Nouveau frame. Made of solid cast iron in a natural browned shade. Lovely detail. The condition is very good and sturdy, however it's missing it's glass and backing. This sale is for the frame only. On the top of the back, there is some surface rust. On the top of the front, there is what might be the beginning of it(oxidation darkening) but this really doesn't detract from the overall great looks of this piece because it coordinates with the natural color of the frame anyway. This is a Very Beautiful Victorian Ornate Picture Frame made of Iron and has an Easel leg. The Design is so Classic with Scroll Work and Leaves. This Frame would look so pretty mixed in with a Shabby French Chic Setting in your home. The Print is Called"Over The Garden Wall" 1910. The Glass is so old that it has waves and a few bubbles and even some ripples. It is in good condition. The Easel Foot extends out to hold up this precious frame. There are 3 small arms on the backside that have screws to hold the picture in.see pics) Size: Frame- 11 3/4" tall x 8 5/8" wide at top and 7 3/8" wide at bottom. The picture opening is 5 5/8" tall x 4 1/8" wide. The easel arm/leg is 3 5/8" long. The Frame is made of Iron and has been painted an Antique Gold. It is the original Paint with a very nice patina.

English Cast Iron Frame. Art Nouveau- Antique Beautiful free standing antique cast iron picture or mirror frame in excellent condition. Deep casting of couples in Colonial dress and an angel or cherub playing a lyre with roses throughout. It's gorgeous and a true antique. Marked with the English register number on the back. Rd. No 576364" I do not know the maker. Original screws. The holders function well and are tight enough to hold the contents but not too tight to move. Measures 14 1/2" tall and 10 7/8" wide at the base. It's heavy. Fine cast iron weighing over 4 pounds. Authentic. Fine old cast iron. Detailed and decorative antique. Super.

Ornate cast iron picture frame. Marked N.B. I.W. 2025 which stands for National Brass& Iron Works. Reading PA. Operated in 1891-1911. Frame has an easel for table top use or a hanging ring for the wall. Frame measures approx. 12" tall and 8 1/4" wide. Finish is very good. It is missing 2 of the clips for holding picture in place.

For your consideration is this Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Cast Iron Ornate Gilt Wall/Mirror Picture Frame Description: This is an antique. Victorian era picture frame. This cast iron frame has an ornate, floral design surrounding the bevel glass insert. The cast iron portion of the frame has a brass or gilt colored paint on it. The metal back of the frame is held in by four screws and there is a loop for the frame to hang on a wall. The back of the frame is marked, 669, Patd, and"June 19, 94. The frame measures approximately 15" tall, 10" wide, 2 1/4" deep. It fits a picture or mirror approximately 71/2" by 10 1/2" That is what the glass measures approximately as well. This frame does not come with a mirror but could be used for one if you would like. Condition: There is some loss or wear of the paint in areas ... moreon the frame(especially on the back) from its age and use. The glass has minor surface scratching. But no major defects such as cracks or chips. We have not taken the glass out or opened the back. Please refer to the photos for further detail on the condition of this item.
