We have for sale a Pair of Matching Antique Vintage Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames. First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. Gorgeous Pair of Art Nouveau Picture Frames with Nice Female Prints! Domed Glass
What a nice pair of Period Art Nouveau Brass Picture Frames and Prints! I found these at an estate sale and thought they were very nice. The size is perfect at 4 7/8" by 3 3/8" What is most interesting is the glass is domed tapering off into each corner. You very rarely encounter such glass in frames. A most unusual feature. I'm not sure of the age of the prints, they appear original, each one is held in by 4 fixed pin s. The back is made from a type of material that is similar to what you find in a 19th century tintype. Each one has a ring hanger. The lady in blue frame is missing the red accent in the lower right corner. The lady in red frame is missing the middle upper red accent. From the Victorian period, they are made of black walnut with carved surfaces that resemble crisscrossed tree branches. Each of the frames overall measurements is 10 5/8" by 8 3/8" and each has an opening that is 6 5/8" by 4 3/8" They are well-built and still tight and sound. Both are in very good, overall condition but one does have a 1 inch crack in the glass in the upper right corner and the other is missing a small piece of wood in the back which isn't visible when hanging on a wall. Just out of a local house is this very nice pair of antique wall hung picture frames that were used for framing Daguerreotypes. They have flowers and ladies faces on an ornate scroll design frame. They both have their original decorated glass inserts and remnants of their paper labels that were marked Daguerreotype. I have seen this called Napoleon III frames. The frames measure 9 7/8 inches high and 8 inches at its widest. The frames are in good condition with some cracking. Small chips, and wear to the finish. The glass insert in one is in excellent condition but the other insert has some of the black reverse paint flaking. See photos. Up for sale is a Ornate pair of Antique Victorian Gesso on Giltwood frames. These frames were likely manufactured between 1870 and 1890. The gesso paint appears to be all original. These frames are in great and hangable condition. There is some very light age appropriate wear. And one spot(pictured) of gesso loss that is easily repairable and difficult to notice. These frame are meant to hold a 20x24" piece.The back opening is exactly 20 1/4 by 24 1/4 inches with a 1/8" lip all the way around the inside on which the picture or mirror can rest. Antique Victorian Pair Large Oval Black & Gold Wood and Gesso Picture Frames
This is a stunning pair of antique Victorian era oval picture frames that are identical and in very good condition. All of the floral gesso designs on the frame are complete and intact and the wood is excellent. The paint is all intact(a few scratches have been touched up but they blend in well) The black is still glossy and not faded and the areas of floral gesso have gold accents. There is no glass included for either. And the photos that are in the frames are rough. There are screws on the back with wire attached for wall hanging, but the wire will probably need to be tightened or replaced because it seems to be too long. The frame dimensions are 21" W x 25" H. Up for auction is this pair of beautiful antique picture frames. The are wood and gesso and in very good condition. There is a slight bend on top of the turq. insert. Each frame has an ornate floral and leaf design. Only a few minor scuffs/nicks. Also included are the old photos. The backs and easels are also still intact. One frame has a turquoise color velvet insert and the other is a burgundy color. Vintage Pair Carved & Gold Picture Frames 12 x 16 Rabit Matching Set Plein Air
For your consideration a vintage pair of American Arts& Crafts plein air style picture frames. Each rabbit opening is 12-1/8" x 16-1/8" x 3/8"deep. The overall frames sizes are 16-1/2" x 20-1/2" The molding is 2-5/8" wide. Both frames are almost identical to each other. One of the frames has a chip out of the inside lip. OLD VINTAGE Grooved PAIR Wood Deep PICTURE FRAMES
2 wood old frames that I did not buy together but they have the same design and color so they match pretty well. The larger one is without glass. And is about 12" by 14" overall and 8" by 10" in the opening, and about 3" deep. The smaller one is 9" by 11" outside and 6" by 8" in the opening, and 1 1/2" deep. Both are in good vintage condition. I think they are pine wood.
