This hall rack measures 52 1/2 inches in height.33 inches wide and 7 1/4 inches in total depth and weighs approximately 25 lbs. The mirror portion measures 16 1/4 inches high by 9 1/2 inches wide. Each of the turned hat coat hooks protrude out 5 3/4 inches and the little storage compartment measures 14 1/4 inches wide by 6 inches deep. Rare Victorian Aesthetic Movement Ebonized Pedestal
Offered for auction is another piece from my collection. This very rare Aesthetic Period ebonized and gilded plant stand. I am sure this was a prominent maker, but it is not marked. No breaks or cracks or defects. Some wear to the finish and there may have been some old touch ups to the finish as well, but these would not have been recent. Very ornate with a great deal of incised carving and gilding. A real statement piece. This piece embodies everything that I love about the Aesthetic Movement, there is just so much going on with it. I have never seen another like it. Very stable. I used it in the dining room with a beautiful custard glass vase sitting on it. Up for auction is a Rare AAFA Antique Circa early 19th Century Hand Carved Nautical Coat/Hat or Plate Holder/Herb Drying Rack. This is a long. Very old rack at 45.5 inches long. Extends from wall 5 and 1/8 inches, with Width of 10.5 inches. The carvings are simply spectacular and the nautical hooks are very rare and unique.This is a one of a kind 19th Century antique coat rack/herb drying rack. The back of the coat rack/kitchen rack is not uniform as shown in photo, since there is a small curved strip of board missing at the top of the back board which is not seen anyhow once mounted to wall, or, the rack could have been intentionally made with this board originally. Rack sits flat on a wall or table. Was most likely made for holding plates, hanging pots,and drying herbs. The top of the rack shelf is square grooved all along the top of the ... morerack in order to place three rows of plates at the top. You are bidding on a WONDERFUL primitive Pedestal Stand. This beauty with its classic lines and proportions shows the craftsmanship that went into producing this complex designed pedestal. The beautifully rendered paintings of ROSES on all 4 sides only serve to tastefully embellish the piece. The Varnish is original and the overall condition shows that it has served a useful life. As the pictures hopefully show. The top has the most wear and this survivor needs to find an appreciative caretaker. This Pedestal came from the historical town of Metz, Michigan and it is possible that this piece survived the Metz Fire of the early 1900's. 1890 ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CLAW FOOT w/ LION HEADS VICTORIAN HALL TREE STAND - 7 foot

This auction is for a Late 19th Century Victorian Mahogany Hall Tree. It measures approx. 86" tall or just over 7 feet. It has a carved ball at the top. It has 5 Brass hangers on top. It is missing one hanger. It is covered with Acanthus leaf carvings at the top near hangers and again down the column. it has a tapering spiral carved section at the top of the column(see pictures) The base has has four legs with Lion heads which have open mouths and another Acanthus type leaf in front of that. Legs end in a large paw foot. The carvings on this have outstanding detail(see pictures) Finish is original and has a nice Dark Mahogany Patina(color) There are ... morea few scuffs to end of paw feet. Small chip on Acanthus carving was glued back on, and a few small chips missing to carvings here& there but nothing major. Nice large legs on this piece. Legs measure 3.5" wide. Usually you would see legs like these on an item and they would be a little loose or have an open joint but these legs are tight and very strong with no opening or play at the joint of the column. Top section does come apart with large original dowel(see picture) This will need to be reglued by buyer or buyer will need to have someone who is familiar with gluing a dowel to glue this for them. The Hall tree transports much easier with top off. A superb Antique Hall Tree with a 100 year old+ Original Finish. Item must be paid for with Paypal prior to pickup. Antique WROUGHT IRON PLANT/SMOKING STAND Intricately HAND MADE& TALL- $195 ~Stand is intricately made entirely by hand of wrought iron. Quite a bit more intricately made than most items fashioned of wrought iron. Labour was easier to come by and less expensive 100 and some years ago! HISTORY. PROVENANCE, USE: ~It was either used as a plant stand or as a smoking stand. Most likely it was located in a Victorian parlour. Plants were a common decoration in them, as well as smoking equipment, busts of presidents, etc. In the days before TV, and even radio, a parlour was a sitting room used by all, made to be comfortable, and usually contained a fireplace. They had many uses: for tea, talking, reading, cards, smoking(for men at the time! entertaining guests, family affairs, gathering, and visiting in general. ~This piece comes from a large ... morefamily home in rural Pennsylvania. Parlours in the Northeastern U. S. and elsewhere, especially in England) were extensively used throughout the 1700's, 1800's, and even up until just after World War II. Gradually they fell into disuse, which is a shame. ESTIMATED DATE/TIME PERIOD: ~Dates anywhere from around 1810 to 1910, is my guess. Due to the extensive amount of work involved in this piece, I believe it to be from the earlier part of this time period. It looks almost certainly like a Victorian-era stand. MAKEUP/CONSTRUCTION: ~The extensive use of twisted iron, curved iron, bent iron, circled iron, all wrought iron, all worked and wrought by hand, makes this quite a unique, intricately made stand. Quite a durable and beautiful one. ~Much extra labour, care, love, and time than usual are required for such a detailed piece of work! Not to mention also training, skill, experience, and talent! Monumental Full Body Griffin Carved To Death Hall Bench H B Herts + Sons
Sometimes we use the word monumental to get peoples attention. In this situation it is the bench that will get your attention. We just went through this piece thoroughly and its in awesome condition. It is made and tagged by the H.B. Herts and sons of 5th Ave. New York. It's a circa 1875 to 1880 piece made of solid wood and factory ebonized finish. The detail is incredible from the full body griffins with wrapping serpent tales to the carved crest with opposing griffins there is not one spot on the bench that is not carved. This would be the ultimate piece to have in a foyer or the end of the hall, it would be hard for someone not to stop and take a second look. Antique 1800"s- Gothic Eastlake Heavily Carved Plant/ Candle/ Lamp Pedestal Stand- Stand Measures a tall 38"1/2 Inches. I am not positive what wood this stand is made of. Looks like a mahogany to me but i am no authority on antique woods. Stand itself is in gorgeous condition, it sits flat and level and looks to stand perfectly straight, it does not wobble around and none of the joints creek though i think the only joints there are is the top plate and maybe the bottom tri pod. its a very dark mahogany in color, not to far from an ebony in color. the carving on this piece is fabulous, the is no damage, cracks or chips what so ever, maybe just the most trivial of tiny dings here and there but nothing that is noticeable. you would have to be way up close to see any blemishes and honestly there really arent any. stand has its original ... morebottom pegged feet aswell which you often dont see on pieces this old. top to bottom this stand is gorgeous and completely original, doesnt look to have ever been refinished though there is no reason for it anyways. shipping quote i have for this is just a guess,if it ends up costing more to ship i will cover the cost,if its any cheaper i will refund you the difference. For sale is a nice Victorian Walnut hall tree in very nice shape. I made the mistake of buying this off Ebay a couple of years ago without seeing on the pictures that the umbrella arms were missing. Therfore I have priced this reasonably. It should not be a big deal to have a woodworker fashion 2 arms out of some walnut and finish them in a dark color to match this. You may ask why I did not do this and it was because my wife does not appreciate old Victorian furniture the way I do so I am selling it. I paid $875.00 for this and I know I will take a hit but I have to be honest and tell you there are no umbrella arms; the pictures will show that. The marble and wood are in great shape. It is a nice piece. Unfortunately I can't deliver this. The dimensions are: 41" wide at the base which is the widest. 13" deep, and 89" high. ... moreI don't know the weight but I feel it is between 75-100lbs because it is easy to move around. Up for consideration is a fine Antique 19th Century Torchiere or lamp stand. It stands about 58" inches tall by 22 inches deep by about 16 inches wide. The top measures about 14 inches square. The piece has a hand carved Angel holding a Family Shield Crest with 3 castles Water with a crown above the Crest. The back side of the stand is plain and it's overall design is more or less that of an easel. The piece is heavy well made. Finely carved piece with great form. Above the crown is the mask of a Satyr. The carving is well done extra fine and life like details. The piece dates from about the 1870's or so. There is an age split. Antique Cast Iron and Wood Library Book Stand Geo Flanagan Chicago. Illinois Spider leg and bat wing We are very pleased to offer a wonderful cast iron book stand by George Flanagan. Chicago, Ill. This turn of the century book stand is a wonderful example of the industrial age of Chicago. The stand has its original wood casters and bat wing book leaves. The graceful spider legs clamp the adjustable stand with a locking counterbalance-extra shelf bearing the makers name. The unique bat wing stand uses cast iron and maple spring loaded leaves that can be adjusted for the thickness of the book up to about 24" from wing to wing. the height of the stand can go from 20" to about 35" The base of the legs are 15" from leg to adjacent leg. It dates circa 1899( Victorian/Edwardian) and is still fully functional! This graceful stand ... morewould make a great addition to any personal library or steampunk collection. Condition: The stand does have chipping paint on the adjustable center tube. The maple bat wing leaves do have checking and drying cracks but are strong and stable. The screws attaching the wood were replaced at some point and need to be replaced so the wood will snug up to the iron as they wiggle a little as attached now. I have not replaced them as we offer our items as we found it and we do not alter or restore our items. It should have 5 screws on each wing but now there are only 3. The locking mechanism on the width adjuster needs to be loosened up but again we leave that to the buyer. The wheels. Large Antique Wood Eagle Shelf, Coat, Hat Rack, Early, Mid 1800's, Glass Eye
This antique eagle shelf and coat rack appears to date from the early to mid 1800's. It is made of oak and is very large measuring 39" long by 10" tall by 8 1/2" deep. The shelf on top has a few very minor chips to the edge of the shelf. There is minor rubbing to the racks which is to be expected of an antique dating between 150-200 years old. The most noticeable cracks are at the back of the shelf and are secured by iron brackets. These brackets are very old and may have been attached at time of making. The cracks have been filled in but again many. Many years ago. Overall, it is in very good condition and the glass eye of the eagle is intact and original. A wonderfully carved eagle looking like it could by styled after the Salem eagle.

A wonderful victorian Eastlake style ebonized/ black hanging wall cabinet. Overall dimensions are approximately 26 inches by 32 inches. The cabinet has a beveled glass door with key. Here is another extremely rare and desirable pedestal. Actually I believe it's a card receiver just a variation of a pedestal. It's a beautiful piece I just did a complete restoration of it and it's perfect. I took pictures outside today because the weather was awesome and the pics appear to be more shiny then it is in person. It has several coats of lacquer and then a French polished wax finish on top. Antique hall tree with hooks and mirror. It needs a little TLC.beuatiful piece.
Hall tree has small drawer which is uncovered. I think it is supposed to have a marble top. The coat and hat hooks are very antique looking. The top of the mirror needs attention but as a whole. The hall tree is in good shape and beautiful.

This is an amazing piece. Will get more pics, the blue masking tape is not included, was holding the doors closed, a couple of hinges were loose. Measures 98 1/2 x 23 x 40 1/4.
