It features ten 3-3/4" long porcelain tip wood pegs on its expandable frame. One of the great attributes of these old racks is that they can be adjusted to accommodate any available wall space. This example when opened to a modest width measures 28" wide x 17" tall. But when almost fully opened measures 44" wide x 11' tall. Each side when together is 6 6 3/4" measuring alone the curve. Note ornate tipped ends, Original had gold brass tone color finish which is worn as shown. You can hang this rack using either side. One side is fluted. The other side is pla in and shows the saw blade's marks. All 5 of these hooks will swivel 360 degrees. I really don't know what this is. It seems to be hand forged. The top piece with the leaves attached is a curved 2 feet wide. It has two brackets on each end to attach to a wall. And 6 iron leaves attached. Two of the hanging Hooks are 19 1/2" and 2 are 25" long. They are easily changed to have them in what ever order you want. Each hook has cross bars at the ends I really would appreciate it if anyone knows exactly what this is to be used for. The estate I bought this from told me they were curtain rods. Gorgeous Primitive Antique Wood Pediment Turned Wall Hanging Coat Rack Hat Rack This is one of my favorites this week. It's a beautiful antique. Solid wood pediment piece that has been repurposed into a wall hanging coat and hat rack. As you can see from my photps, a newer hanging wire has been added to the back, but you could clearly mount directly on the wall too by screwing holes. There are some holes by the hooks on the bottom, but you could also make your own. It does hang just fine by the wire. Love how you can see old white paint on the top of the piece- I can't tell if that's old wall paint, or from a part of the piece that was painted previously, but it's old. The piece has a stunning warm dark patina. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, but shows its age in rustic wear- scratches, scrapes, dings, small ... morechips, finish wear, dark spots, light spots, alligatored spots, divots, finish wear, minor cracks- nothing that compromises structure and all adding to and what you'd expect from a primitive antique beauty. It has two antique steel wire coat hooks with a hat hook in the center. The patina of the metal is dark, but I do think it may have had a gold colored finish at one point in time- it's hard to tell for sure. It weighs 4 1/2 lbs, and measures 41 1/2" long and 7 1/2" tall at the center and is 4" deep from the back to the front of the coat hooks. You're going to love it too! Early Vtg. Antique-Primitive Bent Wood - Coat-Hat-Clothes Rack- Wall Mount
Offered is a wonderful Primitive Wood Rack for wall mounting- The peice looks quite old and I would think its antique based on its style but definately Old Vintage. Its a rack for Hats. Coats or Clothing and has 4 bent wood arms with elongated knobs at ends that look like a barrel shape and the tops are pointed, theres 2 back rails and each end has 2 wood support dowels. It has a wonderful shape and style of old primitive wood working. The wood shows normal signs of age to its finish, some knicks, scuffs, and scratches but nothing major. The upper back rail has two holes where screws go through to mount it and I see theres a metal groumet in one and the other is missing and the last photo shows one arm that has a hairline crack or split but the arm seems nice and sturdy. It measures 19 1/8" long, the arms are 6 1/2" tall from point ... moreto knobs and they would stick out off the wall approx. 4" when mounted. Antique Oak Wall Criss Cross Mission-Style Hat & Coat Rack
This is an antique coat. Glove and hat rack. I believe it is from the early 1900s. It is approximately 32" wide, 20" high and 9" deep. I think that the wood is oak. It is in good condition for its age. The metal brackets are intact and have just a little surface rust. The mirror is foggy due to age and the material that it is made of. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique wall mounted hat and coat rack. This features an oak wood back board. With finished edge on bottom and two ends. It has six cast iron hooks. Hooks are about 5-1/2" in total height. Board measures 3-1/2" x 38" It has two mounting screws at top, which appear to be original. Hooks mount to the oak backing board through a slotted hole system in board, and an overhang at back of hook at top. Back tab on hook was inserted in hole and then driven down to lock in place.
