Beautifully carved Pier mirror, hall tree and étagère combination piece. This is such a unique piece of furniture you must look at the pictures to get an idea of how awesome this piece is. I believe this dates back to the early 1800’s. The finish is black and it is very ornately hand carved by what must have been a master craftsman. The massive crown holds an oval mirror that appears to be original glass. The body is a large rectangular pier mirror with a beveled edge. The mirrors are showing some dark spots and fogging, which is very common to pieces this old. There is a lamp shelf on each side of the large mirror and a small shelf that sits in between the lamp shelves. Below and behind the shelf are 2 smaller mirrors. This is a large elegant piece. The mirror glass alone measures 18 ¾” in width and 39” in height. The beautiful finish on this hall tree appears to be original and the patina of the rich walnut wood is absolutely fabulous! This gorgeous Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Period Marble Top Hall Tree is adorned with a magnificent incised and dimensionally carved spade and scroll center crown with carved center shield along with elegant drapes and a fancy pediment that consists of crown moulding. Along with raised burl panel accents. The shoulder area beneath the crown is graced with fully turned drop finials. The mirror is framed in beautiful moulding. Eight lovely period turned wooden hat and coat posts are found on this beautiful Hall Tree. These lovely posts are separated by elegant vertical-linear raised burl panels which further accent the beautiful mirrored body of this exquisite hall-tree. Nineteenth century mahogany Empire recamier with open scroll work and loose cushion seat. Ht: 38" Width: 70" Depth: 24" This Recamier is in excellant condition for its age. We believe it has been re-upholstered at some point in time. The condition you see here is exactly how we purchased the item. There are some imperfections to the finish on the front edge. Surely there are some tiny dings or scuffs on the trim work due to its Antiquity. But this piece is rare with all its original carving. The finish is in very fine condition on most of the top carvings. The upholstry is good and it is ready to be placed in the home or office. We are selling this piece As Is due to its Antiquity. Highly Carved Antique Victorian Rococo Loveseat Sofa - Pickup in NJ only
Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian Rococo loveseat with a magnificent. Highly carved walnut frame. It measures approximately 40 inches high and 66 inches at its longest point. The seat height is 16 inches. The seat measures 21 inches deep. If you measure from where the back of the frame where it touches the wall, to the front of the seat, it measures approximately 30.5 inches deep. It has its original 4 casters. The springs are in good condition. And there are no tears in the fabric. It does have a spot with some light staining, which we never noticed until we were checking it closely for the description. There's one repair on the end of the apron, which can be seen in two of our pictures. It is a 2 inch by 2 inch by 1.5 inch triangle. This is not part of the leg, only a part of the apron. No reserve. Welcome To My Auction* Up for your bidding consideration is this recent estate sale find. It is an Antique Victorian era Silverplate Cherub-Angel Boy Figural Napkin Ring. It has beautiful etchings on the sides with flowers and dragonflies. It is not engraved with any family initials or crest. This napkin ring is unsigned as to a maker's mark( or possibly it has faded as I can not find it) but I do see numbers so possibly this can assist you in knowing the maker. On the outer part of the ring are the numbers 0221 Maker's from that era are Pairpoint. Meriden, Rancine, Reed and Barton, ect. This napkin ring looks very similar to the auction that ended#290853365329.they noted theirs was a Pairpoint? Feel free to look at that auction for your own decision. Silverplate Napkin Rings are identified in a book that regretfully I do not own. ... morePossibly if an EBAY bidder knows the maker by the numbers I have given they can e-mail me to allow me to update any added information. The Napkin Ring measures 2" inches tall to the top of the Cherub's head and is almost 1 1/2" inches wide. The opening for the napkin to be placed is about 1 1/2" inches. The napkin ring is in good pre-owned condition with usage wear. Scratches, some plating loss and some dis-colorization. It also shows some minute markings where someone must have been testing to see if it had any silver content. It looks as it could use a good cleaning to make it shine. The sheath has simple turned handle with hole to the centre to hold a needle. AGE Knitting sheaths were used in Great Britain from as early as the 15th through to the end of the 19th century. The shallow bowl features an embossed floral design at its bottom with a repetitive floral motif on its exterior rim. The narrow stem is enveloped by an S-shaped flourish which doubles as a handle. The simple base repeats the floral patterns of the bowl. A very nice sense of proportion and balance throughout. In good condition though most of the silver has long since disappeared. The base measures 5 1/2" in diameter; the widest part of the bowl is 9 1/2" in diameter; stands 11 1/8" high. This very Victorian creation, a prime candidate for re-silvering, would be a stunner. Beautifully hand crafted with very impressive 1800's smith workmanship in and eye catching hand laced raised pattern, well hand soldered to main body. Main body is of earlier sheer(scissor) cut.
