Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree With Storage Bench & Beveled Mirror & Butterfly Hook
For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Arts and Crafts Carved Oak Hall Tree with Mirror
One-of-a-kind Arts& Crafts oak hall tree. Bold straight lines frame a large mirror and are masterfully carved with geometric patterns. Carving continues throughout the piece. Including the surfaces of the sides, legs and drawer and framing the overhanging molded top. Complementary decorative brass hangers and drawer pulls. Lower shelf, hooks and drawer allow for plenty of storage, making this a practical piece as well. Sturdy construction including dovetail joints on the drawer. Unsure of exact age, but this piece likely dates from the early 20th century. Overall. The piece is in very good condition. There is some silver loss to the mirror, most noticeably along the lower edge. See picture. There is also some seperation in the joints along the lower shelf. Also pictured. Simple but beautiful. This is an antique C-1910 Mission Arts& Crafts oak hall tree in great condition. I did lightly sand. Touch the spots with stain and put a coat of vanish on to freshen up the finish. The seat was cracked so that was glued, lightly sanded, and stained with a coat of varnish. The hardware is original, the mirror is original but with spotting and slightly foggy but it gives it a old look. The boards on the sides have gaps(look at the pictures) Sooo this is pretty original. This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! Being offered for sale is this Splendid English Victorian Carved Oak Hall Tree/ Umbrella Stand with Carved Winged Dragons circa 1890's. This antique hall tree would make a fabulous foyer/ entrance way piece perfect for having those coats. Wraps, jackets and umbrellas conveniently at the door. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The original finish does have wear and shows some loss in areas. And the mirror ... moredoes have some mild cloudiness and streaking as age appropriate. This beautiful antique oak hall tree is in great condition. It's been well take care of-polished weekly and dusted with a plain cloth to keep the original color intact. There are no flaws or chips out of the wood but the mirror is aged. The hinges and coat hooks are originals also. masculine antique quartersawn oak hall tree bench 48 inch wide mint original
for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

There are 6 of the original coat hooks and the beveled mirror has NOT been resilvered. The hall tree is from the Arts& Crafts era. Early 1900s. in good original condition. The base does not have the lift up seat. The drip pan is not original, but works very well. The beveled mirror needs to be resilverd or replaced($45) Stands about 80 inches tall AND is 21 inches wide, not counting the umbrella holder. Up for auction is this Mission/Arts Crafts Style coat rack. Very sturdy but does have some issues. Solid oak rack with great patina. Measures 68"tall x 12"deep and wide. As the pictures show. Two of the wooden hooks are missing. The third hook is broken and is taped. This is how I bought it and I have owned it for a good eight years. Features four iron double hooks-the kind that will hold a hat above and a coat below; these hooks were originally painted a gold-brass color but have aged to a distressed finish. The style is somewhat Mission/Arts& Crafts-very simple in design; it looks like oak wood. But I am no expert so I can't say for sure-please refer to photos to judge. Condition is pretty much as it appears in photos. It is old; as its handcrafted it is somewhat primitive and is unfinished on undersides that don't show. Which is typical with antiques; it shows normal vintage wear(some dings here and there and a few hairlines-one was behind a hook-see pics) but nothing too bad. Two of the"feet" ... moreare loose and one had a screw added to it on underside at some point but otherwise the feet were nailed on; buyer may wish to nail down the feet more as one popped off while I was taking it apart for packing and I popped it back on, but all that said, it looks good overall and is sturdy and stands fine. The hall tree retains it’s original finish which is in very nice condition and shows only very minor wear considering age. Other than the added screws mentioned above. It is completely original. Antique Oak Hall Tree w. Beveled Mirror, circa 1900
This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well.
