One of the pegs is a little bit loose but I’m sure it could be tightened. Really nothing serious at all. It folds or adjusts into numerous different positions, as you can see in the pictures. Adjusted like you see in the very first picture, it measures approximately 23 inches tall by 25 inches at its widest. The mirror looks quite old and has a bit of a waviness to it like you see an old wavy glass. Please examine each of the pictures very carefully and judge the condition for yourself. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The original finish does have wear and shows some loss in areas. And the mirror does have some mild cloudiness and streaking as age appropriate. Beautifully carved Pier mirror, hall tree and étagère combination piece. This is such a unique piece of furniture you must look at the pictures to get an idea of how awesome this piece is. I believe this dates back to the early 1800’s. The finish is black and it is very ornately hand carved by what must have been a master craftsman. The massive crown holds an oval mirror that appears to be original glass. The body is a large rectangular pier mirror with a beveled edge. The mirrors are showing some dark spots and fogging, which is very common to pieces this old. There is a lamp shelf on each side of the large mirror and a small shelf that sits in between the lamp shelves. Below and behind the shelf are 2 smaller mirrors. This is a large elegant piece. The mirror glass alone measures 18 ¾” in width and 39” in height. The beautiful finish on this hall tree appears to be original and the patina of the rich walnut wood is absolutely fabulous! This gorgeous Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Period Marble Top Hall Tree is adorned with a magnificent incised and dimensionally carved spade and scroll center crown with carved center shield along with elegant drapes and a fancy pediment that consists of crown moulding. Along with raised burl panel accents. The shoulder area beneath the crown is graced with fully turned drop finials. The mirror is framed in beautiful moulding. Eight lovely period turned wooden hat and coat posts are found on this beautiful Hall Tree. These lovely posts are separated by elegant vertical-linear raised burl panels which further accent the beautiful mirrored body of this exquisite hall-tree. The area above the removable original white marble table top with scalloped and beveled edges is adorned with small raised burl panels along with horizontal picture frame moulding. The marble is in very good condition with just some very minor chips on the underside corners of the marble which simply add character to its beauty and elegance. Storage opportunity is found in the dovetailed center drawer with picture frame moulding details and period carved wooden pulls. This is a beautiful solid black walnut slant top writing desk. Circa 1810.The figured walnut top is very rich and beautiful with its grain patterns,rich walnut tones and beauty marks. I rescued this diamond in the rough. It had many many coats of white paint hiding this beautiful black walnut wood. I lovingly& meticulously hand restored this desk back to full glory. I restored the finish with many. Many coats of hand rubbed shellac, maintaining the antique warm glow, rubbed to a silky smooth yet allowing the beautiful grain textures to be felt.There was a trim around the back of the top which was missing, I custom made this new back rail trim using reclaimed 200 year old black walnut. The drawer pulls are from a 200 year old dresser and are solid walnut hand carved pulls. The harp shaped end is gorgeous as you can easily see with its ... morecone shaped finial on the end of the hand turned support which joins it to the drawer base.The slant top is fixed in position. There is no lid that lifts up, this was designed as a writing desk, dating back to the quill pen days. There is an age shrinkage split in the top which I chose not to restore. It gives great character to this lovely piece. The drawer locks are missing.I restored all the drawers, carefully taking them all apart and regluing them all and now they are rock solid and slide excellently. Full depth drawers with lots of storage.The desk is finished on all sides, allowing it to be placed anywhere in a room. The recessed flat panel sides are a great design. Adding to the beauty. I purposefully left some character marks remain in this desk such as tiny chip of wood,left top edge) pinholes etc, they give this desk awesome character, I was not trying to create a reproduction piece I try and respect the antique with all of its age, history and character. If you love gorgeous rich walnut wood with wonderful character and patina. Perhaps this desk is calling your name! From the estate of a local antique dealer is offered a pair of carved oak Victorian lion head masks. With open mouths showing teeth and nice manes. They are 3 3/4" across 3 1/2" high and 2" deep. They are in original dark finish and the only flaw noted is a chip to the mane on the top of one. That can be darkened with any number of products to blend the color. Spectacular"Highly Figured Sold Maple" Chest of Drawers Circa 1895 I fully restored this lovely piece.It features incredible"highly figured" solid maple with Birdseye maple veneers on the oxbow top drawer fronts.All of the brass hardware. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of hand ... morerubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years.The photos show casters in the legs, they will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. 1800S ANTIQUE RESTORED CAMEL BACK VICTORIAN FURNITURE STEAMER TRUNK X L (DATED)
Up for consideration is a very nice restored victorian trunk. It has been cleaned well inside and out. All hardware and wood has been lightly sanded then sealed with a satin finish for protection. New leather handles were put on. The inside has been tastefully recovered. It has dated latches that read" July 1. 73. Inside the trunk the lid stay is also dated 1870. Wow.as my mom would have said.this is"cute as a button" This little late Victorian wash stand is a delight.it's only 32" long.28 1/2" tall and 14 1/2" deep.the backboard adds appx 9 1/2" to it's diminutive height. It's so tiny it looks like"doll furniture" almost.it would be Great in a small foyer or in a small area where you need something that will"pop"would also work well as a night stand.I believe the wood is pine.but it's been grain painted over that with a wash that's very nice.old and with some wear.to give it a great"primitive" look. It is upholstered with blue velvet which is antique fabric and seems to have another tapestry fabric underneath. See the picture for tapestry underneath. You can see some manufacturer paper on this one. I have two up for auction. They are both quite sturdy and support my weight of 130 lbs. I posted as many pictures as allotted. I am unfamiliar with wood and do not know if there are any repairs or if wood has been altered in any way. This one has a crack on the seat but still support me. I have not dusted. Cleaned or polished as to not upheave the patina. I will leave that up to the new owner. They are 21" high and the seat is 11.5 x 10. With out packing materials, they are 4lbs 9 ozs. ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN CARVED WALUT WOOD CREST or FURNITURE PEDIMENT PARTS Two beautiful. Old, Victorian Wood Pieces that go together nicely, and form a crest, or just to use as parts. They are carved from Walnut with very ornate carved flowers and leaves that are carved all the way through. They both have a scalloped top and plain back. This was probably part of a settee or large chair, perhaps a chaise lounge, because it has holes where upholstery tacks were(see photos) Also, on each end there are holes for dowels(the photos show both pieces put together like an arch way(they would have to be doweled again or glued to stay this way) These beautiful pieces of wood each measure approximately 13 1/2" high x 12" across. So, together, they would measure about 24" across. The wood is about 1 3/16" thick. This very ... moredecorative wood is in good condition but would need some refinishing or painting and a little restoration where the dowel holes and upholstery tack holes are.
