Antique Valet Stand This is a vintage valet stand or dressing rack. It is composed of wood that is stained a dark brown. It has a"hanger" at the top for hanging a coat or jacket. Just below the hanger is a small tray for change or keys. The stand measures just over 48" in height. The base is 17 1/2" by 14 1/4" It is in great condition overall with small signs of age or use. There are some small bumps or scratches. Mainly on the base, which I believe would be expected with general use and age. We also noticed what looks like a burn mark(I'm not sure how else to describe it) and a split in the wood on one leg. This does not affect the stability of the piece and is only visible when you are looking for it. Please see pictures for more details. Up for sale is a Beautiful Old Antique Vintage GLOBE WERNICKE Wood Furniture Coat/ Hook Rack. This is a gorgeous old coat rack. It's a nice heavy wood(weighs 14 pounds) I'm not sure what kind of wood but it has a dark finish. Like mahogany. It measures 70 5/8" tall and the base is diagonally 21 1/4" x 21 1/4" The base is marked"Globe" on the column, right above the base) The Globe Wernicke sticker is mostly removed from under the base, but a small piece is still intact, that says"Cincinnati" where the company was based) At the top are 4 coat/hat hooks. One on each side. They are metal& have an old, vintage patina. There are bugle head screws in the hooks, but there should ... morebe rounded pan head screws. The screws have an aged patina as well& are perfectly functional as is, or you could replace with the correct type. The wood shows wear in various spots like nicks. Sturdy old coat/ hat rack Stands 70" tall The bottom measures 19-3/4" x 19-3/4" and the pole measures 1-3/4" all the way around. There are ONLY 3 top large hooks. There are 4 bottom smaller hooks. Condition: lots of wear- it is NOT perfect by any means. Missing one of the top hooks, you will see some rustiness on the hooks, the wood shows a good bit of wear, at the bottom area there are some cracks in the wood, the hooks are attached with flathead screws, each corner bottom has little blocks of plywood attached to its bottom by its previous owner to make it VERY sturdy, this would make an awesome rack to refurbish/paint or refinish Local pickup only. Hello.here is a wonderful antique free standing coat and hat rack.this came from a good friend of mine and his parents had this in there diner in the 1950s and have had it in there house for ever.I have been trying to get it from him for a very long time and his wife finally put her foot down and demanded it be out of the house.So here It is.It is 6 feet tall and has 8 hooks on a smooth rotating crown.the pole is in great clean condition with bright shiny chrome and the base is decent and has some minor wear.this is a fabulous antique mid century piece and getting very hard to find anymore.If there are any questions at all about this item please just ask.shipping is $50 within the continental united states.thank you.
