Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ... more~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. There are a total of 9 very fancy large cast iron hooks which are all original to the hall tree. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. The tray is signed ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ on the bottom as well as signed on the back of the hall tree ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ The over all condition is very nice with the exception of one broken hook on the bottom tier of cane rests- see picture# 11. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. This would make a wonderful addition to any grand foyer entrance or a wonderful piece to display some of your prixed walking sticks or Victorian umbrellas and hats. Danish Retro 60s/70s Teak Hall Coat Rack with Umbrella Stand & Mirror
Vintage original Danish retro Eames or Bauhuas inspired design hall coat& hat/glove rack complete with original matching umbrella/stick stand and optional mirror. The 9 teak veneer 8.75" x 5.75" panels are supported on a simple anodized aluminium frame and there are 5 aluminium coat hooks which can be hooked on in any position. The hat or glove rack at the top simply slots in and the whole assembly can be fitted to the wall using the two open slats at the back. see photos for details and design etc. This item also comes with a matching umbrella stand and there is also a mirror which can be clipped on but as it will add to the weight for posting. I bought this at an estate sale. It is a beautiful old piece of Americana history. I believe it was originally an ashtray stand but I have seen them used for umbrella and cane holders. An antique white wicker and wire umbrella stand in a vase shape. Or. It's a tallish waste paper bin. I have used this as an umbrella holder. It worked fine being sufficiently tall but. Were I writing the great novel on an old fashioned typewriter, this could be used for waste paper. The sides are of brass painted white and the bottom of the stand is wicker. This umbrella stand is somewhat diminutive and has lovely turn of the century style. It is in very nice vintage condition with old white paint in a matte(not shiny) finish. The old paint is slightly worn in spots showing the brass wire of the sides of the stand. There is a break in the wicker bottom of the stand; please see photos 4.5, and 6. It stands about 13 inches tall and has a diameter of about 9 inches. This is an unusual accessory piece for a room or patio furnished in white ... morewicker or to compliment Victorian decor. This stands 79 inches high and is 31 inches across at the widest arms. Beautiful details as shown in photos topped by a bounty of fruit and detailed with lions and fantastic scrolling. There is a close up picture of the tear, which is about an inch long. It should not affect your photography. It is hard to find everything together like this and all of this equipment has barley been used.

ANTIQUE VINTAGE CANE UMBRELLA PLANT STAND OCTAGONAL MAHOGANY VICTORIAN BEDPOST
24" tall. 11" diameter cane or umbrella stand. Octagonal column is constructed of solid mahogany boards, molding around the bottom is also mahogany, four feet are veneered. I think that this stand was made from the bottom section of a mid-Victorian bed post from a tester bed. If you are familiar with beds made by cabinetmakers like Mallard or Lee, the octagonal form was very popular. For whatever reason(fashion, low ceilings) a bed was taken apart and the lowest section of a bedpost was repurposed as a hall stand with the addition of four scroll feet- that look like they came from a Victorian footstool and two handles on the side that look like sections of molding. The reconfiguration was not done recently- the nails holding the feet in show some surface rust and the screws attaching the bottom panel are not new either. The reimagining ... moreof the bedpost was probably done in the mid 20th century or before. It makes an interesting history and I think it makes a very handsome and impressive looking stand for your canes or umbrellas. It would make a great stand for a fern or other houseplant too. The finish on the wood is old. The mahogany has a lovely dark red color. There is finish wear and some scratches and marks, the veneer is quite worn on the feet. There is a split on one of the eight panels that would be an easy fix with wood glue and some strap clamps. The set is in good condition and the mugs are free from cracks, chips, and repair with the exception of the 1956 logo mug- it has a small hairline crack which I tried to pick up in one of the photos. See the photos. This vintage Umbrella Stand/ Trash Can came from an old mom and pop"greasy spoon" restaurant in Queens. New York, about 22 years ago before the restaurant closed. It hadbeen in the stock room for a number of years before that. It's about 20" tall and about 10" wide and is made of metal. The litho on it is in very nice condition, although there are some small dark oxication spots, etc. as typical for these. They had used it as an umbrella stand in the restaurant. There is some typical rust on the inside and the underside, but overall a great rare vintage Coca-Cola piece that displays quite nicely. It is in excellent condition for it's age with little wear to the finish and no breaks or repairs. It does have some light scuffs and scratches but nothing you would not expect for a piece this age. Beautiful piece and very old. It has a small drawer in the middle of the openings that were used for umbrellas. I have had it about 12 years and bought it from an elderly couple who said it was over a 100 years old. It has a small defect on the side of one leg where the wood has been removed but other than that. Is in good condition. a vintage umbrella or stick stand 1950s- 70s I'm unsure of the designer or manufacturer but it is very much in the style of Carl Aubocks mid century designs the stand has a triangular cast iron base and 1 piece of bent brassed metal that acts as the holder. the brass forms 2 back to back triangles in which to hold umbrellas or sticks. the underside of the base still retains its original felt. The staining to the felt is where the glue has come through from manufacture. It is not rust) the stand is in good condition but does have age related wear. The cast iron base has some light rust stains in the bowl designed to catch water and the brassed arm has tarnished. Travel back in time with this vintage umbrella rack. It has a charming Art Deco look. Standing about 17" tall and 10" wide. The black metal cone sits insides the gold frame. Both the cone and the frame show signs of wear, but it is still in decent to good condition for its age. It is probably from the 1940s.
